Fair enough the begining will entertain but there is no awe factor to keep you engrossed. This game is currently resigned to a shelf gathering dust, and i urge you not to make the same mistake i made in buying such a second rate, overhyped game. You would be better saving your money and playing classic RPG's or even making your o...more

Diablo 2: its back and it is bigger and badder !! (847 words)

Before i got this game, i had to practically lick my cousins feet who is in USA to send me the CD. So this is a emotional review ( hee hee) Diablo 2 comes with 3 cds. A play disc, install disc and a cinematics disc. The install of this game is rather large, 900mb minimum for multiplayer, 600mb minimum for single player. The game consists of 4 acts. Each of the acts has several quests which you must complete in order to move on to the next act. You receive a reward upon completing each quest. Each act takes place in a totally different town. For example, the first act takes place around the rogue camp, once you complete all six quests you ... Read the complete review

Three and a half years. That?s how long it had been since Diablo turned up, transforming role-playing into a pastime strangely fashionable among those who?d previously all but spat in the faces of Dungeons & Dragons fans. With Diablo, such people could finally talk about spell-casting, magical amulets and hit points in public, without getting their heads kicked in. Doing for the fantasy genre what Command & Conquer did for wargaming - throwing away as much excess baggage as possible, then putting everything else within reach using a mouse-based control system : Diablo was scarily simple, yet impossibly addictive. And then, Diablo II finally arrived. And, you ... Read the complete review

The first Diablo was almost universally hailed as the game of the year. Since it came out (geez, has it really been years?), I, and all the Diablo fans, have been waiting for the sequel. If you missed the first one, go get it. It's still great, and fairly cheap now. In it, you played the role of a hero out to destroy the lord of evil, Diablo. In the end, all you could do was contain Diablo by plunging his soul gem in your forehead. Well, guess what. During your journey east to destroy Diablo, you lost the fight. Now your previous character serves as the latest host for the demon, who now continues the journey east to awaken his brothers, Baal and ... Read the complete review

I was lent this game by a friend about 6 weeks ago, at first i thought i wouldn't like it but i soon found it to be a great game. Although i have never played diablo 1 but i am sure that this must be better. Since the beginning of time the forces of order and chaos have been engaged in an eternal struggle to decide the fate of all creation. That struggle has now come to the mortal realm, and neither man, demon, nor angel will be left unscathed. Diablo, lord of terror, and youngest of the three prime evils, awoke from his long sleep beneath the dark earth. Setting in motion a grand scheme to free his exiled brothers, Mephisto and Baal, Diablo took ... Read the complete review

Ok so I haven't played the prequel but Diablo 2 is the best in its class. I've played Ultima online: Renaissance, and that doesnt even come close. Diablo two involves a series of wild rides and fanatic battles that any RPG would be proud of, including the Final Fantasy series. There are five classes you can choose for Diablo 2, the best being the barbarian because he has the best stuff and easily kicks butt against everything. The others are ok, but if you go online all you see is an abundance of barbarians. You can download editors so you can make your character ultra powerful early on, but these spoilt the game and its better to be ... Read the complete review
