Advantages: What do you mean? It's Diablo 2!!!

Disadvantages: It, erm, it's, erm...not perfect?

Diablo has to be one of my favourite games of all time. The absolute addicton was astuonding and quite possibly unhealthy. I, like so many other fans, would not leave the chair until I had the slain body of Diablo at my feet. Not only was the single player shockingly brilliant, the mutliplayer, in my eyes, was the best online gaming there ever was. It was the world of Diablo, but with real people! Of course, all that changed when the cheating started.

Any of you out there who spent at least a week playing this game online will relate to what i'm talking about. An infinate number of 'PKs' (player killers), every one indulging in a seedy underworld of cheating, with invunerability and 'duping' impossible to avoid. The online world of Diablo quickly descended into darkness.

However, Diablo 2 appeared to me like a ray of hope. And behold, my hopes were fulfilled, and i now enjoy an untouched world of pure gameplay online. The online game can now support up to 8 players online. If you decide to play on the special battlenet realms, you'll find absolutely no cheaters and so you do not have to be invincibl ot be a good player. It takes a lot of determintion and a lot of playing, but the rewards of a high level character, complete with a set of top quality weaponry and armor is priceless.

Although the thoughts of a nirvana of online Diablo was always at the back of my mind, i could have never expected the massive improvements to the single player game. Those of you that thought Diablo could get no better; think again. With fantastic new characters, flashy new spells and skills and, yes, different settings for each chapter, including a barren desert landscape and hell itself, Diablo 2 makes the original seem like a 3 or 4 year old game. Wait a minute, it is 3 or 4 years old.

You like the orignal, get this by whatever means possible, repeat, BY WHATEVER MEANS POSSIBLE!!! You may not be as fanatical about it as me, b
ut you'll still get more than enough enjoyment for your money. If you dont like Diablo, then leave. If you've never seen either of the twosome, then i strongly suggest you to take a look. You may be... no, WILL be pleasently surprised.
