I could say everything I have to say about Half-Life in one word - "Wow!" Half-Life is simply the best game I have ever played. The storyline cannot be beaten, the graphics and sounds are amazing and the atmosphere in the game makes you feel like you are actually inside the Black Mesa Compound instead of just playing a game.

The fact that the game takes away half of your life makes the title perfect for the game - you could be there for hours playing mods, multiplayer and replaying the game over and over again - you'd never get tired of it!

Although Half-Life is a few years old, the game cannot be beat. It has close competition what with all the new first person shooters popping up everywhere but none seem to match the quality of Half-Life and the way it plays.

Many add-on packs have been released for the game extending the storyline and allowing you to play from a different point of view. In 'Opposing Force' you play as a marine sent in to kill anyone and anything that moves in the Black Mesa Research Facility and in the 'Blue Shift' pack you play as the security guard 'Barney' trying to get out of the building.

Half-life has a thriving online community as well extending the playability of the game. The popular add-on pack 'Counter Strike' makes the game even more playable with you on teams either as terroists or soldiers trying to take each other out.

So, no matter what you think of first person shooters..you'll definately enjoy Half-Like. It's like being inside a horror movie..

Summary:
