I had forgotten all about this game until I read about it right here on Dooyoo. Ikari Warriors was a model of what made the old games great despite the lack of resources. It combined addictive gameplay with pure simplicity to make it one of the best games of its time. Ikari Warriors was a direct conversion of the coin-op by the same name. The loose story behind the mayhem is that you are a pilot, shot down in enemy territory who must fight his way through numerous enemy territories to reach safety. I can't believe that nobody has reviewed this game before ! While it's an old title now another generation can get totally hooked on it thanks to emulators and everything retro coming back in again . Ikari Warriors on the amiga was a direct conversion of the original coin op (which was a sequel to the game 'Road to victory' - also worth checking out) . The idea of the game - like every good game is simple . You and a friend are two pilots who have been shot down over enemy territory and you've got to complete your mission - which conveniently means you have to wade through miles of enemy territory .
