I have played Pimpwar on and off for the last 4 years. It is an online text based game.
You control your own empire. Scout for whores, buy thugs and basically own the other
guy.
You can play the game two ways, to rank or to kill. Ranking speaks for itself.
Killing is somewhat more complicated, as you have to plan your jumps and supplies
according to the game you are playing. (Pimpwar has several games running at once.)
In my humble opinion Pimpwar is about community, and being a part of it. It is NOT
a game for minors as it deals with adult subject matter and should be treated as such.
Signing up for the game involves a master account. From there you can access credit and
the games. (Pimpwar can be played without purchasing credits as it is a free game.)
Once you have decided on what game you want to play you should join an alliance. Be sure
to join one that you can relate to. The best way to join an alliance is to post on the
recruiting board. You will probably recieve several invites. Make sure you look up the
the alliance and join one that is right for you. Don't be afraid to ask questions of the
leaders. The good ones will answer them thus helping you to make your decision on which
one to join.
There are several vets who run training crews to help out the new pimp on the block. You can
also access the chat and the forums through your master account.
The forum is full of tips if you are willing to spend acouple of hours going through
the threads. Several of the vets have given their time and knowledge of the game to help
out the new guys. Chat can be a pain but very fun if you will give it the time and effort.
Don't log on and start ragging on everyone you see. Your best bet is to sit and watch who
does what and ask for help from either the ops or the half ops. That is what they are there
for. If one doesn't answer right away go to the next. Usually

they are willing to help out
if you present your questions in a mature manner. Shit talking is good for the game, but
talking to the ops leave that behind. Same goes for the helpers. Most have been around for
along time and will point you in the right direction.
The game is a blast and I give kudos out to the developers. They have made a game that is not
only enjoyable but one that is very addictive. On a scale of 1 to 10 i would give it an 8.5 at
least. (I hear the new version is going to blow everyone away, I can't wait till it comes out!)
