I will try to keep this short as possible as I could probably go on forever talking about quake 3. This game has come along way from its Doom days, I have been playing it seriously ever since the game was released and I haven’t stopped since. The game itself for me was hard to start with as it takes a lot of practice to get really good at it (Well it did for me). I used the normal tournament option starting of on the easy level and worked my way up to nightmare level, which is pretty crazy. There are a few games you can play such as Capture the flag, Free for all, Team death match and Tournament. I now go online and have big games and tournaments. The graphics are very good and the characters and maps are excellent. You can download hundreds or new maps and skins and add-ons to enhance the game. Some good add-ons I have used is a add-on called rocket arena and the best one I think is weapons factory arena which turns quake into a very tactical game working in teams, and setting up traps and guns to defend you base. The only thing with playing online is if you haven’t got a fast Internet connection it can be hard to get a good game without connection interruptions, but that’s only from my experience. I recently bought the official add-on called quake 3 team arena which comes with a lot of extras and add-ons to enhance the online experience. There are new guns and maps and other types of games to play like harvest and overload and single flag capture the flag. So if you like a fast paced shoot up games, and working in teams then this is the game for you. The minimum system requirements are as follows. 3-D Hardware Accelerator with full OpenGL support, Pentium 233Mhz MMX processor with 8 MB Video Card or Pentium II 266Mhz processor with 4 MB Video Card or AMD 350Mhz K6-2 processor with 4 MB Video Card, 64 MB RAM, A Windows 95/98/NT 4.0 with service pack 3 or abouth/2000 compatible computer system with 25 MB of uncompressed hard disk space for game fil
