Advantages: Retro Fun
Disadvantages: No Longevity, disappointing graphics, sound and limited gameplay
When this came out, it sounded like great fun, take the role of Godzilla, King Kong or a giant wolf man and just smash up everything you can on screen. Looking back on it now, it's clear this game was never built to have the depth or longevity of World of Warcraft, but it was a rollicking piece of fun.........for the first 15 minutes.
I had this on the Amiga many years ago and looking back it was overpriced with little real to do, but it felt like fun at the time and felt new and innovative.
Graphics were fairly decent for the time, whilst the pixellated creatures didn't have the AI movement of current game they were chunky and kind of interesting in a very basic 3 dimensional way.
With a basic viewpoint that you should try to destroy buildings, airplanes and helicopters and characters called Ralph, Lizzy and George, how could you not enjoy this enjoyable interlude from real games!
The game lacked many things, but it was good smasharound fun, I have no idea where you would buy it nowadays but shudder at the fact I spent £15 on this. It was good fun in multi player with friends but nothing more, the shelf life of the game was two or three attempts after that you would get bored unless you wanted to relieve stress, in simply bashing up buildings, it wasn't big and it wasn't clever but it was fun in its own way and a really memorable concept which they tried to update but with little success due to the lack of longevity.
Summary: Fun......for the first two or three goes!
