Once again I am returning to my youth with a review of a Sega Mega Drive Game (Note:Megadrive games are put in Amiga Section on Dooyoo!). On this occasion I will be reviewing Road Rash 2. When I was about 10years old I always remember visiting my cousins in Liverpool and like me they owned a Mega Drive and among their games collection was Road Rash, possibly the simplest yet one of the most addictive games around, so you can imagine my excitement while wondering around our local charity shop a few days ago when I see Road Rash 2 for the Megadrive complete with box and instruction manual for just £1! It was a must have purchase! *** What is Road Rash 2? ... Read the complete review

Much the same as its predecessor, Road Rash 2 is a simple but addictive motorbike racing game in which you compete in illegal racing matches across the highways of America on a range of supercharged bikes. As in the original you can punch other drivers from their bikes, or alternatively you can boot them into the path of oncoming traffic or club them over the head with one of several weapons, namely a kosh, a crowbar or a bikechain. Genre: Racing Console: Mega Drive Creator: Sega Road Rash 2 was the second instalment out of six road rash games. The main aim of the game is to race in illegal violent bike races. The graphics for road rash at the time were second to none as the smoothness part of the game was uncommon in many games at the time. The physics element of road rash was very realistic e.g. driving up a hill and being able to throw your motorcycle far into the distance. This game was one of the first games to introduce traffic. I particularly used to hate the slow moving vehicles and used to run into the back of these. The game itself was set in a ... Read the complete review

Road Rash 2 was one of the greatest games I ever played on the Amiga or the Sega Megadrive. Having played Road Rash and enjoyed the high speed beat em up action, I could not wait to get my hands on Road Rash 2. It combined all the great features of Super Hang on with the beat em up thrill and story of Streets of rage. With the cosh, the chain or the crow bar, you can bash your fellow rashers from their machines. The introduction of the nitro boost added a special thrill, and when you are stopped by the cops, the cut scenes are varied and hilarious. In my book, the greatest of the road rash games, even better than rash 2 and could not be topped by rash 3. Upgrading your ... Read the complete review
