... was cheap and a silly way to play but it made life so much easier. The bosses this time are a step up, though by the end up the stage I had 13 lives to my name (they are earned from getting 100 rings, the games collectable, or hitting a box with the players face in it). Easy I thought I was going to run through it like I used to when I'd aced the game (and as the add on to Sonic and Knuckles game), this was going to only last 40 minutes and I could just play through the game then review it. Then came Marble Garde...more

Premium Review Sonic 3: Sub Sonic (1858 words)

Rating:

Sonic 3 came out in the mid 1990's on the back of the huge success of the previous 2 main Sonic games (Sonic The Hedgehog and Sonic 2) and featured the main protagonist from the previous 2 games, Sonic (the titular character) who's an infamous blue hedgehog. He's joined by his two tailed fox friend Miles "Tails" Prower (Yes Miles Per-Hour...) and the returning antagonist Dr Robotnik (still known by such a name in Europe at the time, his name how ever was Dr Eggman in Japan, and America I think). A new additional to cast was a red Echinda (Knuckles) who plays a bit of a role as a baddie though it's more due to the lies fed to him by Robotnik than actually being ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Sonic 3, the 3rd of the series! (840 words)

Sonic 3 is the game where Tails is in it, same as Sonic 2, Sonic 3 is got better graphics, better levels. Also it can be equipped with Sonic and Knuckles, so you can have Knuckles in it, with Sonic and Knuckles levels I think. This game is roughly about Sonic trying to defeat Dr Robotnic as usual, but does not have much luck, as there are sequels to this game, and also I’m not too sure that he can be defeated either. You can either be Sonic, Tails, or Sonic and Tails. If you have Sonic and Knuckles hooked with this game, then you can play as knuckles as well. That is yet another good thing about this game. There are many fun levels that you can play ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Sonic 3: The Floating Island (1488 words)

Dropping the now-unnecessary ‘The Hedgehog’ from the title (a quick glance at the over-perspectived blue animal on the cover clearly shows that the game deals with some kind of mammal), Sega released a not-very-long-awaited successor to the not-very-long-awaited sequel to the original platform game Sonic the Hedgehog, the game that, while not being particularly revolutionary, spearheaded Sega into the home computer game market. With this game, Sega decided to venture a little bit into ‘roleplaying’ territory; being a Sonic game it still mainly involved rushing through levels and bopping robotic enemies to fight Doctor Robotnik in some crazy contraption at the ...  Read the complete review

Products similar to Sonic 3

Very fast and fun, more so than previous games, Involving storyline and great level designs, Cartridge slot is interesting, if a bit of a failed premise Nothing too original after Sonic 3

Its Sonic But sadly not as we know him. Limited.

None that I can see- devoted Sonic fans will feel the need to buy it Difficult to controlVery poor level designsUninteresting story in comparison to previous games

Great use of gravity. Instant deaths make gameplay frustrating.
