I freely admit that even as a kid I never liked Star Wars. Maybe its because I am too young to remember when it first came out, I don't know, but it just never really appealed to me, even though I love countless other sci-fi films and cartoons. Dark Forces is a game I took a liking to instantly however, and when it came out back in 1995 it really was something special. Using what appeared to be a variant on the Doom engine the game looked amazing, (and still looks pretty polished today), and best of all, unlike Doom the game allowed you to look up and down, allowing you to blast away at stormtroopers and aliens on ledges above and below and adding a whole ...
