====What Kind of Game?====

For anyone who has played the Secret of Monkey Island, this is the sequel. It's an adventure game that involves solving puzzles. It's of the popular point and click variety.

====The Aim Of The Game====

Once again you play the part of young wannabe pirate Guybrush Threepwood who is still on his quest to find the treasure of Big Whoop. Having defeated his arch enemy Le Chuck in the first Monkey Island, Guybrush now has to worry about Le Chuck's old henchman, Largo.

Le Chuck is reincarnated to become a ghost pirate and wants revenge on the young wannabe pirate.

====Game Play====

As in the first game, this one is devided into parts. The first part sees you trying to get off Scabb Island and you'll bump into some old familiar faces too.

Part Two is where the game really kicks off as you travel between Scabb Island, Phatt Island and Bounty Island - where you take part in a spitting contest.

Guybrush can be tricky to move and likes to wander off to places you haven't told him to go.

Over all the game play is good for the era it was released in.

====Graphics====

Not really the best in the world. The moevment is shakey and there's not much detail in comparison to other games. Obviously the speech scenes are a bit rubbishy too, as they just move their heads up and down.

It can also be quite tricky to read the scripts as they come on the screen.

====Sounds====

There are no voices in this game, but the music makes up for that! It is really irritating.

The sound effects are also a bit slow. For instance a door will shut then a couple of seconds later it will bang!

====Controls====

As would be expected in this kind of game, there's a control panel at the bottom of the screen with instructions such as "use", "Talk to" and "pick up". There
's also a viewing section as to what you've ppicked up so far.

To move Guybrush around, you click on the area you want him to go.

If there is something to look at then it will probably show up at the bottom of the playing screen. If this happens, you can just cliock the right mouse button and the action will be done automatically, as opposed to selecting "look at" then clicking on the object.

To move Guybrush around the Islands, there's a map screen. To access this, find a footpath and walk along that, this will bring up the map. You can then choose an area to visit. You can also track him on this screen.

Thankfully, as the game is so long, there's a save option that can be accessed through F5.

====Disks====

Eleven in total! Plus your save disk. There was an awful lot of disk swapping in this game, sometimes two at once.

The swapping and changing was irritating as it interupts the game play and slows down the whole procedure.

====The Puzzles====

These could be very easy or very difficult. Many of them were quite comical once you'd worked them out.

If you don't want to be completely confused and end up throwing the computer out of the window, then there's an easier option you can choose at the beginning.

====Tips====

Only one then. Once you've bought the woodpolish for the Peg Leg, keep shining in. Each time you do you'll get a piece of eight! This allows you to have more fun later in the game!


====Who's It For?====

Older children and adults as far as the puzzles are concerned. But really it's for anyone who enjoys solving puzzles and having a bit of a chuckle!

====Over All====

This is a really fun game to play. It will take you hours to play, but once you have completed it, it will take a long time for you to forget the solutions, so it will be a while before you
can play it again.

The ending is a bit disappointing but the rest of the game well and truly makes up for it.
