Each team is made up of four worms, you can set whether they have little health (for a quick game) or adjust their health to more substantial proportions (for a more epic affair). There is a full complement of weapons, from your bog standard grenade to the more unusual bannana bomb and the always comical sheep grenade, basically a bleeting baa baa that merrily skips towards its target before detonating into a fiery KABOOM!!! As well as weapons the player has access to various equipments such as a p...more

Premium Review Worms: Simple, fun and wonderfully destructive (309 words)
by - written on 18/11/09 (Very useful, 4 readings)
Rating:

Released back in 1994, 'Worms' is originally based on a simple little artillery game in which two players take turns at firing shells at eachother's guns, compensating for changes in wind strength by altering trajectory and force. Team 17 took this simple idea and dressed it up in cartoonish graphics, introducing teams of anthropomorphic worms with squeaky voices and a large arsenal of weapony including bazookas, homing missiles, shotguns, uzis, miniguns and, airstrikes and grenades. Some of these weapons are susceptable to wind change and rely on trajectory (grenades, bazookas), whist others do not, although the different levels do different amounts of damage and some ...  Read the complete review

----- WORMS ----- This game was the first in the long running Worms series of games, made by Team 17 these games have been going since the days of the Amiga, and they are still going strong to this day. The idea is simple, in fact its so simple that writing a review on this product is very difficult! You control a team of worms that are in a battle against other worms, and obviously you really want your group of worms to be the last one standing. This is achieved by killing all of the other worms, Simple! The game is viewed from a side on angle, you control the actions of your team of four worms. -------- ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Worms: Look Who's Come Crawling Back For More!!! (369 words)

Worms was created by Team 17 all the way back in 1994, the concept is a simple one, two teams of anarchic annelids blow seven bells of **** out of eachother with a host of powerful weapons. The aim of the game? Simply wipe your enemies worms off the face of the earth. Worms is in stark contrast to the last game I reviewed (Rome TW), Rome is a game that requires time and patience if anything is going to be got out of it. Worms however is the ultimate in pick up & play gaming. As the concept is so simple, you can happily wile 10-15 minute away without even thinking about it. Each team is made up of four worms, you can set whether they have little ...  Read the complete review

WOW the first op on the Classic Game!! (322 words)

I first bought this game ages ago for my playstation…but sadly it broke. So how happy was I when I walked into Staples and saw Worms for only £4.99. I decided to get it straight away and walked out the shop and ran all the way. I eagerly put it into my compute installed it and a warning message came up!! !%&^#WARNING COMPUTER IS TO NEW FOR GAME !@#~?&% Or something like that!! I’m the sort of person who does not give up easily so I contacted a computer dealer and bought my self a 486. This is a really old computer I managed to pick one up for £20 which is a bargain. I got back to my house and wired it up to my monitor and was ...  Read the complete review
