Marantz PM 6002:
... ve owned this amplifier for about one year now. Sold my Marantz PM4001 for even more money that I got for since I had my eyes on it s bigger brother after reading so many positive reviews pretty much everywhere. They were connected to a pair of Wharfedale Diamond 9.1 speakers and a Marantz CD5001 CD player that did very well with the PM4001. I could not have been happier with the upgrade; the sound is punchier with... Read the full review: A winner, at this price don't waste time listening to cheap-fi by pcspinheiro |

Marantz PM 4001S ... ve used this amplifier for about one year. Bought it half-price from a sale of demo products and it was my first serious atempt at hifi, after having played around with DIY stuff with no luck. It s a very good all round performer with features that are well above it s price range. Had them hooked up to a pair of Wharfedale Diamond 9.1 speakers, which at 86 dB are not the easyest to drive, but the listening room was also not so large, about 16 m2. However, these babies together could sing and the 35 Watt output never seemed shy! The lows were controlled and well integrated and the highs never got harsh. The remote is good looking with its brushed aluminum front and easy ... Read the full review: A good affordable performer by pcspinheiro |

Denon PMA-500AE amplifier ... bought a 500AE for my dad who is a classical music buff and needed to update his rather ancient hi-fi. Connecting the new amplifier to his elegant Kef IQ3 speakers left us both staring speechlessly at each other: the tonal balance, bass definition (all too often a problem with budget systems) and overall competence of the sound is just in a different league to other affordable amplifiers. So much so, that I went home and ordered a second PMA-500AE for myself. Mine is coupled to Mordaunt-Short s award-winning 902i bookshelf speakers - and it s completely transformed them. Audio quality: The very best thing a critical listener can say about any hi-fi system is that they... Read the full review: Squeeze every drop from your bookshelf speakers... by Alfettaman |

Marshall MG15CD Guitar Amp ... my opinion, this has to be the best amp on the market. Marshall, in the guitarist world, is what Ferrari is to Formula 1, or Apple is to the PC Market. It is a desirable brand that never fails to disappoint. This amplifier is no exception to the Marshall name, and delivers unbelievable amount of power to your ears - at only 15 Watt, the power should not be underestimated. The emulated line out is a must for any budding recordist out there, since this makes the sound when recorded on a PC without microphones but instead through being plugged directly into the sound card of your PC sound like it has been recorded with a microphone. Having recorded myself, I can guarante... Read the full review: BEST PRACTISE AMP OUT THERE FOR THOSE ON A BUDGET by crankymonkey |
