Cambridge Audio A1:
... have always been a great make for amplifiers and the A1 and A1 mk3 are no exception. For the price you get a superb build quality, great clarity with jazz, classical and light pop, along with a sleek design. They are built to last as this is the company behind many others, as they build components for use by other manufacturers. You get a lot of amplifier for the cash here and they make a great match for Ma... Read the full review: Great budget amplifier by the1selecta |

Onkyo A-9211 ... good amplifer, lots of bass, good chasis quality, but not so good in vocal and jazz music. Enough power is good for rock and electronic music,so it all depand of your speakers and rest of the system(sound source, cables). I would rather look for NAD or Marantz amplifer. i sell my Onkyo and buy a NAD 320 BEE and i am much happier! So, you must first try it in your system, if you like it, buy it!... Sony TA-FE230 ... TA-FE230is an excellent amplifier for your first seperate hifi system. The Bass and treble features are nt exactly excellent but theyre certainly good enough. the amp sounds different depending on the type of speakers connected to it, I have a pair of Sony speakers from the mini system, MHC-RG110 connected to it and the sound quality is great. It has 6 inputs and 2 outputs, both of which are being used on mine to enable me to record on both my tape deck and the CD. deck. I have found that being able to control the speakers on or off from one knob very useful. The amp features a loudness switch which when switched on, boosts the treble and bass by quite a signiffica... Read the full review: Not To Be Under-Estimated! by scullywag324 |

NAD C320 ... ve been using the NAD C320 BEE, which I purchased for £160, for over a month plugged into a pair of Kef Q1 speakers as a replacement to a Rotel RA-931 amplifier. The amp (2x50W) is powerful enough to drive any pair of budget/mid-range bookshelf speakers and works well with the Kef s producing a sound more punchy than the Rotel. It seems to work well with a variety of genres, from hip hop to jazz, and overall produces a clear and natural sound. Apart from having excellent sound quality, the amp is also well spec ed, featuring 7 line inputs (including a pre-out useful for subwoofers), soft clipping to prevent speaker damage and a remote control (which quite impressive...
