Sony TA-FE370:
... purchased this amplifier about a year ago, and I have been extremely pleased with it. I am a student in music technology, so I am quite picky when it comes to audio equipment, but this is a fantastic amplifier for the price. >Value< Unfortunalely, due to my financial standing as a student, I was limited to around £100-150. I would ideally want a mid-range amplifier such as a Denon, but at this price range yo... Read the full review: Sony TA-FE370 by Dave_UK |

Sony TA-FE230 ... you are looking for a no frills amplifier that has the power to drive a range of loudspeakers then the Sony TA-FE230 is a good choice. This is a straight stereo amplifier offering basic facilities with 6 inputs and 2 outputs through phono connectors mounted at the rear of the chassis. These comprise a 'Phono' input for a turntable, Tuner, CD, Aux, and 2 Tape inputs plus 2 Tape outputs that enable recording and a headphone socket on the front panel. Operation is very simple, a push button to switch on and off, a large round knob to control the volume and next to that is another large rotary knob for selecting the various sources. This has a small lamp pointe... Read the full review: Good Value Power by soundman |

Marantz PM 6010 ... This is my first none budget amp. It has 50WPC and a dual mono no frills design. Marantz OSE models only have the most basic facilities you need for a product to function. The idea behind this is extra facilities which are in the signal path such as tone controls and effect the sound quality. Also by saving some money by not including these items Marantz has been able to use components not normally found in amps this price. It might seem odd then that Marantz have decided to use a normal frame transformer rather than a more desired torodial one. However the transfromer found in this amp is still a very high quality one and is probably better than some of the cheaper ... Read the full review: In a league of its own by amazingtrade |

Marantz PM 4000 ... bought my Marantz PM4000 together with a tuner and a CD player about eighteen months ago, as a newcomer to the world of hi-fi separates. The unit was recommended as a best buy in its price category by "What Hi-fi?" magazine, so I took the word for it and bought one. I bought my separates from Richer Sounds, where I found the service to be friendly but rather slow. However Richer Sounds' main appeal is the price, and I would recommend them for this reason alone. I have little to compare this product with, but the build quality appears to be excellent, and the sound quality flatters any input source. I have a Marantz ST4000 tuner connected to thi...
