NAD C370:
... amp is possibly the best I've owned. It's nicely (if boringly) presented, weighty and assured. I can find nothing negative to say about the way it amplifies a musical signal. In short, NAD have a real winner here. Why then do they spoil everything with misleading packaging? There are 7 line inputs on this amp, two of which are labelled 'CD' & 'Disc' respectively. The problem lies in the t... Read the full review: Almost Great by RogerP |

Cambridge Audio A5 ... had to put up with the tinny undefined sounds of a poor quality Goodmans midi system for nigh on 6 years, you can imaging my glee when I finally got round to purchasing my new separates system just before Christmas. The Cambridge Audio A5 was my choice amplifier, purchased from Richer Sounds for £119.95, a snip for such quality merchandise. Many of my friends have separates and all were envious of my purchase. It has a massive 60 WPC output, which is frankly far more than I needed, but it also ensures low down poke and high level crispness even a low volumes. With 8 inputs and bi-wirable capability for the speakers, few amps in this price range come close... Read the full review: Excellent bit of Kit, Buy it! by jmorley99 |

Marantz PM 4000 ... had this amp for nearly two years now and it has been great. Its seen many new components and it seems to work well with them all. It has all the facilities you could ever want including a remote control, 6 inputs, 2 tape loops, separate record selector and not to mention a great phono stage. The facia looks a bit busy with a lot of knobs and buttons but don?t let the looks but you off. The sound quality in my opinion is great for a budget amp. I often get audiophile sound quality from it with good quality recordings. It works very well with my Sony CDP-XE530 CD player. It also draws attention to the vocals but at the same time captures every detail in true Marantz f... Read the full review: Great sound in true Marantz fashion by amazingtrade |

Marantz PM 4000 ... trusty Marantz PM32 died after many years of service and I had to look round for a replacement. Having asked in the shop for an amp with 5 inputs, a phono input and preferably a remote control, I was showed the Marantz. One thing struck me, the price, It seemed to be extremely good value. I bought it. Sound quality is good, the amp itself is packed with more features than I'd believe possible for the price. Build quality is good though the speaker connections do seem a little cheap - not as sturdy as the PM32 though you do get 4 of them for having an additional pair of speakers in the other room. An excellent buy at the price! ... Read the full review: Marantz PM4000 by ciswift |
