Advantages: Terrific sound, cheap
Disadvantages: None
NAD have been making great hifi kit for decades, though you'd never guess to look at them. Most of their range comes housed in highly unimaginative grey boxes, and look like military equipment from the Cold War. It's what's inside that matters though, and here this amp doesn't disappoint.
At a cost of a mere £200, this is at the very bottom end of the NAD range, but it's still a benchmark for budget amps, continually winning awards from hifi magazines and audiophiles. You may notice a 'BEE' after the product code - this stands for Bjorn Erik Edvardsen, the hifi genius who helped to engineer NAD's pioneering range. His work is justifiably legendary - and you'll hear the effects in this box!
The sound it produces is just fantastic: clear, pure and balanced. You get terrific detail, so if you listen to classical and jazz, you won't be disappointed, while the soundstage is spacious enough to cope with any air guitar classic on the rock side. The technology in the box matches the amp to your speaker load, adding dynamic headroom to the sound, while soft clipping protects your speakers and ears from distortion.

I've been using mine for years now and never had a problem with it, reliability wise. If you want to use an MP3 player with your stereo, though, you need to latest C325BEE model.
Highly recommended!
