supremely good amplifier (NAD C340)

Advantages: sound quality far superior than that of more expensive amps

Disadvantages: could look nicer

I have owned NAD equipment since i started getting into home hi-fi, and NAD have always been known for quality that far surpasses the cost of the item, and this amplifier is no exception. It's been mentioned that it looks a bit lacklustre, but who buys an amplifier to look at it?

My system consists of a pair of kef q55's. And a NAD 541 cd payer (does anyone remember them?) and i run my laptop through it for mp3's, and my game computer for games and films. The system astounds me every time i use it, obviously for film and game use it lacks surround sound, whatever dolby are calling it this week, but i have no facility nor enough money for surround sound.

All in all one of the best amps i've ever listened to, only surpassed by equipment costing several times more. Let down by its looks in some people's opinion but you're buying an amplifier not art.
