Digital Blue Digital Movie Creator 2.0 ... of the Digital Blue © products are aimed at youngsters although I have purchased it for use at work with adults. Digital Blue products are educational and inspire learning opportunities without as they say being tethered to a PC or games console . I have seen the software in use before with children but decided to give it ago as a trial with adults. I am hoping to start a Masters programme in January and will be learning abouit computer software in education. I started teaching the ITQ in September as was surprised at how limited the assessment route can be so I decided to trial this with a few learners to see what they thought. Adobe Fireworks CS3 ... matter what I am doing, I always have Adobe Fireworks open. Even if I don t need it. For those of you don t know what Fireworks is - it is a program used to design graphics. It is mainly used to design websites and other user interfaces, however many use it to simply prototype their ideas. Think Photoshop - but for anything other than photos, although it does a good job at photo editing too. Adobe Fireworks allows you to slice your design in to a working interface. It doesn t produce pretty results for the web, but you can export a working webpage. Autodesk 3ds Max 9 ... studio Max is a brilliant program IF you know how to use it of course. It can take a while for you get used to the program but you can create so many things! After using Lightwave (another 3D program), i find 3D max so much easier to use. You will find many professional using this program to create game characters such as Assassin Creed. This program can also be used for special effects in films and animation which do look really effective. Although i do find the rendering a bit of a pain sometimes when you create large files.
