Advantages: Looks great
Disadvantages: Feels sticky and heavy
The reason I originally bought this eyeshadow, was in all honesty because the packaging is so LUUUSH! (its a intricatly decorative shiny black pot) but now I'v come to see beyond the exterior, and I can appreciate the eyegloss for the wonderfull bit of makeup kit that it truly is. What is so great about the eyegloss is that its totally different to any eyeshadow you've ever tried before because its texture is so different, its not just creamy like a lot of the newer eyeshadows are, it IS actually gloss, as in lipGLOSS. This has advantages and disadvantages.
I have the purple gloss, and it looks really bright (but not in a garish way) when wiped over the eyelid, it looks as bright worn, as it does in the pot that it comes in, which is hard to say about many other eyeshadows. Its also really easy to blend, and great to move if you make a mistake!
The disadvantage is that it gives you a funny, heavy feeling on your lids, as the gloss is sticky and quite heavy, and if you only want to apply it on the lid part of your eye, and not the socket, it ends up in the socket and up towards your eyebrows anyway.
If you want a really sassy and up to date look (powder is soooooo pass-e!!!), then this eyegloss is a definite must! but if you like your shadow placed perfectly on your eyelids (with your three tones of the same colour shading technique ... etc), then maybe this isnt for you!
