Yes it is a digital answering machine, storing around 15 minutes of messages with out the hassle of fastforwarding the microtape to skip messages. The quality is good, and it does everything you would expect the phone to do, with simple interface. It has only two minor downfalls. The clock on it doesn't keep great time(stored with any messages recorded) And Setting the time and clock is quite slow, as it has to talk you every minute you step through.
