I bought this phone a few years ago as I wanted a cheap digital answer machine (and it was cheap!). You can record your own ring tone or select one of the more normal ones. There are mail boxes and remote access facilities which I don't think I ever used. Day to day usage is really easy - an easy to read led number shows how many messages you have. You press the play button to play them and the x button to delete them. Very easy to use. I've not had the same problem as the other reviewer with wiping the outgoing message. Now that I'm giving the phone to a friend, I can't figure out how to re-record it! I've moved house and lost ...

This telephone answering machine was a present to us but I wouldn't choose this type. I do really like the design of the phone, it's black and kind of sleek. It boasts several features: 14 minutes digital recording, a pre-recorded outgoing message, do not disturb function and more. I like the simple things in life i.e: I like it to be obvious which button to press to hear my messages etc. My biggest complaint about this machine is that is is just not self explanatory enough, there is no way of working out which button does what without referring to the instruction manual (which I can never find anyway!)For example, trying to record an outgoing message ...
