Advantages: Looks quite good
Disadvantages: Too complicated for an answer machine!
This telephone answering machine was a present to us but I wouldn't choose this type. I do really like the design of the phone, it's black and kind of sleek. It boasts several features: 14 minutes digital recording, a pre-recorded outgoing message, do not disturb function and more.
I like the simple things in life i.e: I like it to be obvious which button to press to hear my messages etc. My biggest complaint about this machine is that is is just not self explanatory enough, there is no way of working out which button does what without referring to the instruction manual (which I can never find anyway!)For example, trying to record an outgoing message was frustrating as although there is a voice prompt which will say things like: "press the menu button", it is not at all obvious from the symbols on the buttons which one that is. It took us months to find the redial button, and our outgoing messages keep getting lost by accidently pressing another button. The sound quality is not very good either, it is quite hard to catch what people are saying on messages.
The phone itself is not too bad, it has a volume control on one side which is easy to press by mistake when you're on the phone - thus muting friends and relatives (can be an advantage sometimes!).
We've had this phone about 18months and the connections now seem faulty. When we come to change it we will not be getting the same type.
