Advantages: cheap, easy to play messages

Disadvantages: low quality recording

I bought this phone a few years ago as I wanted a cheap digital answer machine (and it was cheap!). You can record your own ring tone or select one of the more normal ones. There are mail boxes and remote access facilities which I don't think I ever used.

Day to day usage is really easy - an easy to read led number shows how many messages you have. You press the play button to play them and the x button to delete them. Very easy to use.

I've not had the same problem as the other reviewer with wiping the outgoing message. Now that I'm giving the phone to a friend, I can't figure out how to re-record it! I've moved house and lost the instructions. So I agree that some parts of it are not easy to use. Most settings are off the main menu button but not this one (as far as I can tell).

The reason we replaced it is because the sound quality is poor. It's not always easy to hear what people are saying. Not bad for the price though.

If anyone else has lost their instructions, you can download them from http://www.p4c.philips.co m/files/t/td9363/td9363_d fu_eng.pdf

I just needed to do this, as I was giving my machine away to a friend, and couldn't face trying to explain how to work it. A good machine though, no trouble, and easy to use, once set up.
