Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue Perfume Deodorant Spray
by pestopesto
I used to really like this perfume scent when I first discovered it however as I got older I found that I found it to be more and more reminiscent of how my bathroom smelt after I'd given it a good polish with one of my more industrial smelling cleaners. However I got given this in a gift set and thought I'd give it another ... try...
The packaging of it is pretty cheap looking with the faux suede box and frosted glass. It looks kind of dated too - quite 90s, which is odd seeing as it first came out in 2001.
In terms of the scent - well it's still the same far too sweet smelling lemony aroma but perhaps that appeals to some people. Or perhaps it doesn't smell like toilet cleaner on them!
In terms of function - well, as a deoderant it works abysmally. Now I'm not someone that has ever had a problem with perspiration and I lead a very sedentary life (read lazy) so I never really get into much of a sweat for anything. But I was shocked to find that by the afternoon I had distinctly sticky and strangely smelling armits.left with sweaty pits by the afternoon with this on. Remember that horrible loo smell when someone's sprayed toilet spray to mask their unmentionables? Well that's what you'll smell like if you use this!
And all for £25?! What a rip off! Read the complete review |

Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue Perfume Deodorant Spray

I have been wearing this perfume since I was a teenager and CKone had gone out of fashion. I still love it as it can be worn all year round, day and night.
Launched in 2001, It is a fresh fruity smell but settles to a more sultry and delicate smell of jasmine and musk which lasts all day. After exploring the net I discovered ... it is infact a blend of flowery and fruity ingredients including apple, bluebells, jasmine, bamboo and white rose. With subtle hints of cedarwood, amber and musk.
The bottle is a straightforward and sophisticated cuboid shape with frosted glass effect and a plain blue top. It comes in a posh looking suede effect box which makes it look an expensive pressie for a loved one.
the perfume itself comes in 25, 50 and 100ml bottles and it's also available in a 200ml shower gel and body lotion, ranging from approx £19 to £50.
This perfume leaves you feeling sexy and alluring, fresh and funky. It is a great fragrance for most age groups and is light for summer but also fresh and uplifting for the drab winter weather.
My only fault with this fragrance is that after a while you can't smell it on yourself and so may reapply when it's not nessisary. Read the complete review |

I originally started borrowing this from a friend, moved onto department store samples and after going through the perfume area at Heathrow ONLY to squirt some of this on me, I knew it was time to buy it for myself. This was the first 'large' bottle of perfume I ever bought (hey, we all know it's a commitment to buy this much of one ... scent) and I have never regretted it. I was looking for a non-overwhelming-smells-like-your-grandma-type perfume and Light Blue is an excellent choice for anyone. It makes you feel fun and feminine without overpowering everyone around you. My favourite aspect of the perfume is that they included granny smith apples as one of the elements. The tart sweetness of the apples gives this perfume the edge that makes it perfect for formal or informal occasions while the citrus smell just makes you feel clean. This is a great perfume if you are looking for a 'hint' of something delicious to compliment you. Read the complete review |
