Dove Beauty Finish Anti-Perspirant Deodorant
by xxfoxyredxx
At the moment I am really trying hard to keep my bathroom neat and tidy. One of the things I have been keeping my eyes peeled for is smaller products so they don't create so much clutter in my smallest of rooms so out have gone big cans of deodorant and in are smaller products like these!
This I bought in a roll so its a dinky ... product and it cost me just £1.02 in Boots recently and it being pink and white in colour it fits in nicely with my colourscheme too!
The Packaging:
Like I have already said this is a roll on Anti-Perspirant and its mainly made from white plastic (the body) and it has a large and light pink plastic twist on/off cap to the bottom of it concealing a very large see through plastic roller and on the front of it we are told that it is Dove 'Beauty Finish' 48H 'Beauty Mineral Enriched' and that it contains 0% Alcohol and is of course an Anti-Perspirant product and then on the back of the bottle other information given includes the size (which in this case is 500ml), the ingredients are given and contact details for the manufacturer are clearly stated. This is really nice and high quality and informative enough packaging from Dove and its easy to handle and use as well which is great!
The Deodorant Itself:
This dispenses a lovely cool wettish liquid which is really soft when applied to the skin and dries quickly but leaves the skin feeling moisturised for hours. The scent of this is really hard to describe but it is feminine, sweet and I can't make out whether its meant to be a bit fruity or floral but it doesn't matter to me its simply smells really nice and fresh and it isn't in your face though the scent of this does linger for quite a few hours once applied on me.
This is a highly effective moisturising in a none greasy way deodorant and although I have always been more of a fan of sprays this one has converted me cos its so just mild and gentle and does the job of not only keeping me smelling nice but also it doesn't put white marks on my clothes, any scent that goes onto my tops is easily washed out but I can use this straight after shaving my armpits and I get no rash or burn whatsoever.
A little of this of a very long way indeed and I can use this of a morning and by the next morning I'm still feeling fresh and smelling clean and this also keeps my armpits feeling dry and not one bit moist even when I'm at the gym working out hard.
I really like this one, its a great size for travelling so I can take this to the gym with me or to my mums when staying there without it taking up to much room in a bag or a case and it really does offer value for money as it lasts ages !
A great little but this one is and its available from all good chemists and supermarkets usually for anywhere up to the two quid mark though like I have already mentioned I paid just over a pound for mine recently from Boots as it is on offer! Read the complete review |

Right Guard Womens Xtreme Invisible
by lilmiss1982
I do have a regular roll on deodorant that I use and am very happy with it. It does its job and keeps me dry all day. I was sent by Bzz the new Right guard women Xtreme invisible spray to try. It comes in a 150 ml metal can which is predominately black but with some pink on the label and white writing. It has a removable plastic cap and ... you press the button on top to dispense it. I'm not a huge fan of the design of the bottle. I associate black coloured toiletries with mens, many famous men's brand toiletries are mostly black in colour. I perfer my toiletries to be a bit more on the girly side. I got mine to try from Bzz for free but to give you an idea of the usual price it is currently £2.29 at Boots and Asda.
I decided to put the new right guard extreme to the test. They claim "scientifically proven 72H protection" which I was dubious about as I have never had a deodorant live up to claims of 48 hours protection never mind 72 hours. But I wanted to give it a fair chance to live up to its bold claims. I was doing a proper test in difficult conditions but that were my real life. I knew I had a busy day at work ahead. Not only would I end up under pressure and stressed, I would also be wearing protective clothing, under lighting which often makes you quite hot at times a prone to sweat. This was a real challenge for the deodorant and I was hoping it would live up to its bold calms as I need to feel protected as I come into close contact with people during my work day and change in and out of my clothes so I am aware if I am starting to smell.
I was planning to test it for 24hours in total not the full 72 hours as I could never go that long without a shower, 24 hours was pushing it. After my morning shower I applied as instructed and headed off to what I knew was going to be a challenging 10 hour day at work, as well as whatever the rest of the brought. I applied plenty as I knew I was in for a long day and so wanted and needed this to work. The spray went on easy and had a pleasant fragrance. I was able to stick my clothes straight on with out having to wait for it to dry like I do with my usual deodorant. When I got changed into my uniform at work at the start out the shift I could still smell the pleasant fragrance and all was well.
Then after a very busy and difficult shift I did actually notice and feel sweaty under my armpits later in the day which I don't usually feel with my usual roll on. I was worried that it might be noticeable to other although at this point I wasn't aware of any odour me escaping, I just felt a tad conscience that I was sweating. At the end of the shift I was disappointed when going to change I could definitely smell sweat under my arms along with the fragrant from the spray. I had expected more from it, my usually deodorant performs much better and am dry and not smelly at the end of a shift. Still wanting to put the 72hours claims to the test, I decided not to shower on returning home and see if it could even last 24 hours and I went to bed without shower. I awoke next morning, with very sweaty smelling armpits and jumped straight into the shower. Not even a subtle hint of fragrance remained. I felt it hadn't stopped me sweating at all through the night. I was very disappointed. It certainly doesn't offer the claimed 72 hours protection I think 12 hours would be pushing it.
I used this again the following day which happened to be a day off and I was going to visit family, there was much less running around and no stress and I found the deodorant did keep me dry and protected all day but I wasn't particularly active. It was certainly still present on my skin in the shower and needed a good scrubbing off so it certainly faired better on day two.
What I do like about it you can throw your clothes on straight after spraying, it is invisible like it claims. I felt safe putting my clothes over it straight away where as usually I would have to wait with my usual roll on to make sure it was properly dry. Read the complete review |

Sure Crystal Clear Aqua Anti-Perspirant
by Twizzley94
I have been using this deodorant for quite a few years now and I still love it! I have always stuggled with perspiration and finding a deodorant that controlled it was tough but this one has really helped to combat it.
The product claims that it has no white marks, however always when I start a new bottle there is always a little ... bit of white powder stuff that gets onto my underarms. But this goes when I carry on using the bottle and it is absolutely fine.
The scent itself is quite neutral and fresh which is nice if you want to put a scent on over the top and you always feel clean after applying.
I find that a bottle lasts me around 2-3 weeks so cost wise it is more expensive than a roll on, but spray deodorants are the only ones that work for me.
Overall, I haven't found a better deodorant on the market! If anyone can recommend any others to try let me know! Read the complete review |
