This may be a short review, but I have to share this news with the nation. I have not found an anti-perspirant that can do the same job as a tin of Adidas anti-perspirant spray can do. During these late winter months, the city in which I live has been really cold, and has often been covered in snow or ice. My work place, in turn, has decided to put the heating on full. I will admit, I'm not the thinnest of people, Ok, I'm overweight and probably carrying a few extra pounds and therefore feel the heat, but when the old fuddy duddies and coffin dodgers (OAP's) who visit my work place are moaning it's to hot, you know the heating is on to high. Adidas have created an anti-perspirant that works. The spray leaves my arm pits feeling dry and also smelling fresh, a smell which lasts through out the day. The other bonus of Adidas anti-perspirant is that it doesn't leave any white patches on your clothes, which other anti-perspirant can do. Adidas anti-perspirant is also reasonably priced in most supermarkets and shops and comes in a great range of scents. I did state this review would be short, but in conclusion, Adidas as an anti-perspirant is practical, easy to use, smells fine and does the job.
I seem to have a running problem with my anti perspirants in that they work for a few weeks, or months if I am lucky, then my skin seems to build up an intolerance to them. This gets increasingly infuriating, particularly in summer months. You certainly do not want to be walking around with unsightly damp patches under the pits, this gives the impression that you have bad personal hygiene. I do not sweat badly, but get those small damp bits every now and then, which are more a visual problem than an odour problem. I have tried this recently, having enjoyed some of the Adidas shower gels. It comes in a sturdy enough bottle with a pump action spray, allowing you to target desired areas. We all know how sprays work, so I shan't waffle on about that part. The smell is invigorating and fresh. It calls to mind summers days and strolls down to the beach, while also capturing that j'ust finished in the gym' aroma of mens changing rooms scent! It sprays on with no problem and dries quite fast I noticed, so you don't have to wait ages for the dampness to subside. The smell does seem to fade after a few minutes as it absorbs into the skin. In terms of protection, it lasted me a few hours before needing to reapply. There is a definite freshness to it and it did not bring me out in any rashes, making it suitable for sensitive pits. I am not sure it has the edge on Mitchum, which offered better long term protection than this one. However, on less sweaty days, this will suffice for roaming about the house and the scent is a draw, which the Mitchum one does not offer. Prices will come in about two pounds fifty for a bottle.
My wife picked this up while in Asda the other day. She is using the Women's one, which she thinks works well, and since Asda is selling the Adidas range for £1 just now, and it is quite a bit tin, then I guess that's why I have this now! The tin is quite tall and I think it is 200ml. It is black with some white writing on it, and the Asidas logo near the top. The tin states that this works in 3 ways. It is a 24 hour anti perspirant, it helps to keep odours away and it has an active absorbent complex. Not really sure all what that means, and i'm sure all deodrants work in the same way to keep you fresh, dry and hopefully odour free. The spray comes out of this quite fast and seems to cover a good area. It is a pretty cold blast that comes out as well, and although pretty wet when it comes out, it dries quick as well. This has a good smell to it. It is very man like, and although it smells kind of airy as well, it is very musky, slightly woody, but just a nice male scent to this. Think this normally retails around £2.30 and I would say it is worth that due to the size of this, and since it keeps the wet bits away, but even better if it is cheaper.
I have used this deodorant for the first time, but I must say it's really fantastic. I have never been to keen on Adidas' healthy and beauty range but I must say this deodorant and anti-perspirant has impressed me in many ways. It comes in a black aluminium can, which is very lightweight and quite tall. The adidas logo is on the top with 'Sensitive' on a green background below. It is a 3 action deodorant: 1. 24 Hour Anti-Perspirant 2. Anti-Odour 3. Active Absorbent Complex I have to say that all three of these points are true once you start using the stuff. It comes in a 200ml bottle and isn't too expensive compared to some other deodorants. The black plastic cap on the top simply pulls off to reveal a very smooth spray function. There is a rather large bit where you press down and the spray comes out at an alarming rate. The spray is fantastic as you really feel this big breeze under your arms and on your body as well as a cool liquid coming out. It simply blows you away and makes it quite nice to use on a hot summer's day. It sticks to your skin really well but doesn't show any white marks. It has a very masculine smell, which is lovely and the smell is predominant all day. The deodorant works very well by preventing perspiration and by keeping you smelling fresh. It does seem to absorb sweat as when you put this on, sweat is minimised. It's a fantastic product and lovely to use so I would highly recommend it. The spray function is excellent and the actual spray does a great job. Thanks for reading, Dan ©
