“ Brand: Avon / Type: Roll-on / Suitable for: Body / What it does: Refreshes, „
I have been using this deodorant for over a year now, and I won't change to anything else! (Avon please do NOT discontinue this one!!) I have tried all the different fragrances and they are all nice and not too overpowering! The rollerball usually works well, it can be a bit stiff to start with but after a couple of uses it sorts itself out. Product is a bit wet & sticky when first applied, but it dries relatively quickly. Best bit - it is without a doubt the best roll on anti-perspirant I have tried. All day and not a sign of smell or sweat, even in the height of summer! And so long as you leave it to dry properly, white marks are minimal. I love this product and cannot recommend it highly enough. Plus the more people buy it the less likely Avon are to discontinue it!
The packaging is pretty plain in white and is ergonomically shaped so it is really easy to apply. I personally prefer a stick type deodorant but at a sale price of less than a pound I had to give it a go. I found it a little wet and sticky to start with but this wears off quickly and offers good anti-perspiration protection with not white marks. This is a great option if you prefer a more face to face purchase and someone who can give you good honest advise on products they know very well. You can also know that you are helping someone in your area out as Avon Reps are self employed local people. Avon constantly have sales and promotions and as this item is normally only £2.10 you will probably never have to pay more than half price for it if you buy well before you run out. One word to the wise however, if you don't have an Avon rep in your area don't get could out by ordering on their website as the postage charges are astronomical.
I bought this product from my last Avon brochure as it was a mere 75p and I thought at that price it had to be worth a try. I went for the "balance" option as it was pink and looked a little girly and in my infinate wisdom I thought that meant it may smell ok. The bottle which is 50ml is the same shape as the majority of roll ons that are on the market. It came sealed with plastic so you know it hasn't been tampered with which is always nice on personal products. The design of the bottle is very boring and makes it look cheap but as noone gets to see it I find this pretty irrelevant. Its plain white with a pink clock timer design and some pink writing. The deodarant is applied in the normal way using the roller ball. It did take quite a few turns off the ball on the first use to get enough on the roller ball to actually apply the deodorant. Once applied the deodorant did make you feel quite damp which isn't the most pleasant experience but this seemed to wear off after half an hour or so. The smell was ok. It wasn't the nicest deodorant I have smelt but to be honest I always wear perfume so I don't expect my deodorant to provide me with an all day fragrance. It definately worked. After a full day I was still fresh and could just about smell the deodorant. Although I do spend my day sat at a computer screen so I have hardly stretched its capabilities. In conclusion for the money this was a good buy. Not sure I would buy it again though as the smell wasn't the best and I think I would prefer to spend a few pence extra and get one with a nicer smell. I think I will try the other fragrances though as for that price its worth seeing if there is a better one available.
As you can probably tell I have had my latest Avon order, with lots of goodies that I tend to order on a regular basis. I can't help myself with Avon, I put a few extra pennies into my Avon representatives purse and take a few more out of mine. Majority the time, I spend the most money on bath essentials, shampoo's conditioner' s and hair products as I always forget them sort of things in the supermarket so keep stocked up the easier way. Last time I went through the Avon catalogue I came across these, Avon Active Roll On, in Fresh fragrance. This is a product that they have done for quite a while, discontinue for a while and then a couple of months later you see them appear again, which I don't understand why they keep doing that as their must be a demand for them for them to keep returning to the catalogue time after time. Roll on and anti-perspirant is something that they seem to have forgotten about in the Avon catalogue these days, they do plenty of body sprays but at the end of the day that is nt going to do a lot onlymake you smell nice, not keep you dry for the day, and I tend to wear perfume only. The Active Roll On is available is four great fragrances, which are very good and not tacky like the ones that used to accompany the eau de toilette fragrances that they used to do. Same size as any other roll on, the come with a white seal over the top of it, colour coded to differentiate the different fragrances on offer. When you take off the screw cap, inside is that slightly pearlescent roller ball that all roll on's have, slightly over sized on this one, however I find this more beneficial in the long run. The fragrance is fresh, not overpowering in any way and the smell lasts throughout the day too. It smells like a roll on should be made to smell and not like some cheap perfume that some off them tend to smell like. When you apply it, it does stay wet for a little while, however I have never come across a roll on that doesn't, I prefer these products too the likes of anti-perspirant as they feel as if they are burning my skin sometimes and you get a horrible white powdery residue that sains your clothes and doesn't look nice when its on view. The Roll on doesn't leave any residue at all, no white mark, no wet looking stains. The product does what it is supposed to,keeps me dry all day and I feel confident that I am not going to have to reapply through any point of my day. The Avon Active brand is marketed towards people that are on the go all day, or athletes, people who are working a sweat up throughout the day, and offers re-assurance that this product will keep you dry whatever you are doing, and that it does. For a meer 75p, now available in the Avon catalogue again, they are very worth a try. I find these compete with some of the well known brands within this field and do Avon justice in producing a great product at an extremely attractive price.
