===This review is for the antiperspirant roll on deodorant===
===Why I Bought This===
Having the Avon catalogue regularly I am able to brouse all their products. As we live out in the country I usually rely on Avon and Tesco for most of our cosmetics and toiletries so this is why I keep my husband supplied with Black Suede. I always tend to buy these products when on special offer.
Avon is a long established direct selling network which used to sell just door-to-door but you can order directly from their website these days if you do not have a local representative handy.
'Black Suede is a Oriental fragrance for men.
Black Suede was launched in 1980. The fragrance features nutmeg, amber, musk, oakmoss, cloves and woodsy notes.
This roll-on antiperspirant deodorant comes in a black screw top bottle.
50 mls and made in Poland.
Use within 24 months.
Balck packaging with a cinched in 'waist and large rollerball.
Do not apply to broken skin.
Shrink sealed - just screw off the top to break the seal.
Ingredients are all listed on the cap - noticeable among them being aluminium and tree moss extract.
The shape of the bottle has changed over the years as it used to have a smaller rollerball and straight sides - but still contained the same amount of product.
£2.60 normal price but fetne half price (as it is now) or else free when you buy the aftershave.
Black Suede is the aftershave and deodorant that I usually keep my husband stocked up with from Avon. I tend to buy them when on offer and then give as part of his Xmas or Birthday gifts.
Personally I have always preferred using stick deodorants myself but when I have run out I decided to try these roll ons and was very pleasantly surprised.
I find the aftershave quite strong and not one I would want to wear, but these deodorants, although having the Black Suede woody and powdery aroma, tend to be very delicate and not overpower you - so a female wearing them would not feel out of place.
The rollerball on these newly designed bottles is very large so applies more quickly than the older small balls. I hate wet underarms but luckily this dries quite quickly and I usually apply a little talc on top to make sure I keep dry.
When you are wearing it you are not really aware of the aroma - unless you get very hot or actually touch under your arms. I always seem to prefer deodorant sticks that are designed for men anyway as the fragrance is more appealing to me but I have never gone in for the rollerball ones before.
However I think I will keep using this as I like the delicate aroma which means if you do get hot and sweaty that s what you will smell of, rather than anyting else!
Also it does keep you feeling fresha nd mostly dry - unless yu really do get very hot and bothered of course - and then nothing will really work.
I have read online of some women using the aftershave, which I have tried but which is definitely not for me. However the antiperspirant/deodorant is gentle enough smelling for a woman to wear without it being obviously a male fragrance.
4 stars - may not suit the younger generation.
