“ Brand: Boots / Deodorants / Type: Roll-on / Suitable for: Body / What it does: Refreshes, „
When browsing around Boots looking for some new deodorant (as you do), I began thinking about the extortionate prices of some of the better known brands. As a result, when I saw Boots own anti-perspirant from their cheapo 'Essentials' range, I decided to give that a go instead - besides, at only 59p, it was a whole £2 less than some of the Niveas, Right Guards, and Sures of this world.
Promising "all day protection against wetness and odour", the deodorant comes in the form of a roll-on in a 50ml plastic container. The product is easy to apply, and the large roller-ball seems to transfer just the right amount of liquid onto the underarm area. The drying time is really no different to the more expensive brands that I've used in the past - although, there may be a 'wetter' feel for longer, which isn't entirely pleasant. The smell *is* very pleasing - I'm not sure what the aroma is supposed to be (as it's simply described as "Fresh"), yet it's a summery smell which reminds me of fabric softer. The question is 'can a roll-on which only costs 59p actually work?' - and the answer is a resounding yes - the product kept me fresh after a double session of squash (120 mins), and to be honest I can't see any difference in quality to the pricier makes.

The deodorant contains;
Alcohol denat, Aua (water), Aluminium chlorohydrate, Butylene glycol, Hydroxypropylcellulose, Parfum (fragrance), Dipropylene glycol, Butylphenyl methylpropional, Hexyl cinnamal, Benzyl salicylate, Alpha-isomethyl ionone, Limonene, Citronellol and linalool.
...lots of ridiculously long chemical names in the above list, and some potentially decent Scrabble scores.

In conclusion, I would highly recommend Boots Essentials Antiperspirant deodorant as an effective product which does exactly as it's supposed to do. At well under a pound it's great value for money, and something which I'm sure to buy again.
