* Light blue * I picked this bottle up at Duty free , thought I'd try something a little different to my normal taste. I got this for £32 duty free but it's normally around £38 in high street for 50ml which is pretty expensive for a perfume. * Design and packaging * It comes in a light blue box which is felt!! and the writting on the box is in silver , very classic! The perfume it's self comes in a recangle and it has a blue cap , simple yet classy bottle design , I like it! * the scent * This is a light floral scent with a blend of fruits, It is said to have notes of apple, bluebells, jasmine, bamboo and white rose. With subtle hints of cedarwood, amber and musk. I can really smell the apple. This can be worn for day time as it's light and not to strong . * Recommend * Yes , it's not my ususal scent , I normally go for very sweet perfume but this is really light and I like it. It has a fairly good lasting power as well and I just love the pacaking it comes in
I used to really like this perfume scent when I first discovered it however as I got older I found that I found it to be more and more reminiscent of how my bathroom smelt after I'd given it a good polish with one of my more industrial smelling cleaners. However I got given this in a gift set and thought I'd give it another try... The packaging of it is pretty cheap looking with the faux suede box and frosted glass. It looks kind of dated too - quite 90s, which is odd seeing as it first came out in 2001. In terms of the scent - well it's still the same far too sweet smelling lemony aroma but perhaps that appeals to some people. Or perhaps it doesn't smell like toilet cleaner on them! In terms of function - well, as a deoderant it works abysmally. Now I'm not someone that has ever had a problem with perspiration and I lead a very sedentary life (read lazy) so I never really get into much of a sweat for anything. But I was shocked to find that by the afternoon I had distinctly sticky and strangely smelling armits.left with sweaty pits by the afternoon with this on. Remember that horrible loo smell when someone's sprayed toilet spray to mask their unmentionables? Well that's what you'll smell like if you use this! And all for £25?! What a rip off!
I have been wearing this perfume since I was a teenager and CKone had gone out of fashion. I still love it as it can be worn all year round, day and night. Launched in 2001, It is a fresh fruity smell but settles to a more sultry and delicate smell of jasmine and musk which lasts all day. After exploring the net I discovered it is infact a blend of flowery and fruity ingredients including apple, bluebells, jasmine, bamboo and white rose. With subtle hints of cedarwood, amber and musk. The bottle is a straightforward and sophisticated cuboid shape with frosted glass effect and a plain blue top. It comes in a posh looking suede effect box which makes it look an expensive pressie for a loved one. the perfume itself comes in 25, 50 and 100ml bottles and it's also available in a 200ml shower gel and body lotion, ranging from approx £19 to £50. This perfume leaves you feeling sexy and alluring, fresh and funky. It is a great fragrance for most age groups and is light for summer but also fresh and uplifting for the drab winter weather. My only fault with this fragrance is that after a while you can't smell it on yourself and so may reapply when it's not nessisary.
I originally started borrowing this from a friend, moved onto department store samples and after going through the perfume area at Heathrow ONLY to squirt some of this on me, I knew it was time to buy it for myself. This was the first 'large' bottle of perfume I ever bought (hey, we all know it's a commitment to buy this much of one scent) and I have never regretted it. I was looking for a non-overwhelming-smells-like-your-grandma-type perfume and Light Blue is an excellent choice for anyone. It makes you feel fun and feminine without overpowering everyone around you. My favourite aspect of the perfume is that they included granny smith apples as one of the elements. The tart sweetness of the apples gives this perfume the edge that makes it perfect for formal or informal occasions while the citrus smell just makes you feel clean. This is a great perfume if you are looking for a 'hint' of something delicious to compliment you.
I am a down to earth Mum to a young child and an occasional make up cosmetic wearer/user and I LOVE LOVE LOVE this fragrance. Why? It is fresh and fruity and instantly lifts my spirits as soon as I apply it. It is a day time fragrance and has been a staple with me for at least 7 years. The packaging is classy but understated too, with a velveteen feel to the box and a down to earth clean lined and classic bottle. I am guaranteed to be asked what fragrance I am wearing when I have it on. So if you want a light but lasting, hugely uplifting and fresh but understated fragrance, I thoroughly recommend Dolce and Gabanna Light Blue. Can't get enough of it!
Dolce & Gabbana Perfume can be classified as a "get atcha" smell. This is the kind of fragrance that works well with the right skin chemistry and when it does, it is fabulous. This is my signature (evening) fragrance and the compliments just keep coming. The scent features such basil, tangerine, orange flowers, carnation, marigold, vanilla. http://www.fragrancenet.com

D&G If you suffer really badly from allergies like myself it can often become really frustrating to find perfume and other beauty products that you can actually go near without sneezing, coughing, wheezing and those dreadful runny eyes. As a result you end up buying the same safe products over and over again! I think i had actually been wearing the same perfume for nearly ten years and had decided that enough was enough. After popping several anti-histamines I decided to venture down to my local department store on a mission that I was going to find myself some new perfume. After a good hour or so I ended up with the exceptionally helpful and somewhat patient girls at the Dolce & Gabbana counter where I came upon their "Light Blue" eau de toilette. Product Launched by the manufacturers in 2001 and recommended for daily use. Light blue is an extremely refreshing and light tangy fresh smelling eau de toilette spray. Once settled the fragrance boasts subtle musky hints of apple and jasmine. Having done a bit of research around this as some of the other ingredients are hard to distinguish, particularly having an untrained perfume appreciating nose like mine!!. The product also contains Sicilian Citron, Granny Smith Apple, Bluebells, Bamboo, White rose, Jasmine, Cedarwood, amber and musk. It is not over-powering when first sprayed like so many of these products are. When you dispense it small amounts come out so you are not completely drenched in perfume. Packaging The 100ml variety comes with an outer light blue suede effect box which is soft to the touch, featuring the company logo and the name of the perfume in silver imprint. This in my opinion makes the product look expensive and classy. The perfume itself comes in a white frosted glass rectangular shaped bottle. The lid again is light blue with a silver band below and again the silver writing. The perfume is dispensed by pump spray. Ingredients Alcohol Denat. Parfum/Fragrance. Aqua/Water. Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate. Diethylamino Hydroxybenzoyl Hexyl Benzoate. Limonene. Citral. Cinnamal Unalool. BHT. Advantages Gorgeous sweet refreshing perfume that is not sickly and doesn't catch the back of your throat. I would suggest that it could be worn as a day or evening perfume. The product is long-lasting in my opininon I would estimate a good 8 hours worth out of a couple of squirts. What i like about this product is that you actually dont really notice it when wearing it due to its subtleness. In the course of a day i forget i have it on and its other people who remark about the smell of the fragrance, and how fresh the scent is. I would recommend this for use by individuals with sensitive skin and for those who are allergic to strong smells. No rashes noticed here and I have been wearing this for a while now. Reasonably priced for a designer perfume. You will receive lots of comments when wearing this. One bottle lasts ages however contents must be used within 36 months of opening so bear this in mind. You can buy this in very pretty gift sets which contain shower gel and body lotion complimenting the perfume beautifully. Disadvantages Do not carry this around in your handbag unless it is tester sized. Have had two bad experiences where the top of the bottle has become loose and the contents have leaked out. Other than this none. Overall I would definitely rate this product with 5 stars as it is gorgeous and well worth the money. Highly recommended everything that you would expect from the name D&G.
This perfume has got to be one of my all time favourties! It has a really original scent, slightly florally yet slightly fruity, its quite difficult to explain it! The smell lasts quite a long time aswell considering its an eau de toilette. Probably one of the longest lasting ones that I own. This perfume can be worn in the daytime or at night. The first time I wore it was to my school ball a good four years ago and I still love it! The perfume does retail at around £45 for 100ml which is relatively expensive, though this is quite a big bottle. I've only got through half of it and have had it for over a year now, and I wear it quite regularly! Can find some good offers on this sometimes, my boyfriend got a good deal on mine at the perfume shop, you just have to look around really! This perfume is worth the money, I would recommend to anyone! Oh one more thing, Dolly Girl - On the beach perfume smells more or less exactly like this, and is alot cheaper! Can pick it up for about £19, so if money is an issue, try that!!
I have been wearing my Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue Perfume for over 2 years now and I still love it! I first smelled this perfume through my mom. She got this as a gift. I instantly fell in love with the smell so I got one for myself as well. "What perfume are you wearing? You smell good." Those are the words that I often get from people. The smell lingers to any room I go into. I have to admit, I am not a big fan of citrus-smelling perfume but this one is an exception. Yes, the scent lingers but it's not strong. Its citrusy, woody and musky scent is really pleasant. This perfume is perfect for people like me - who doesn't like overpowering smell of perfume. You can wear this perfume all day and the fragrance lasts all day without fading. Use it with the Light Blue lotion and you now have the perfect pair!
I was given this as a gift for my birthday. It's a clean, citrus, soft smell which quite frankly reminds me of bathroom cleaner. The smell gets to the back of your throat and its not very pleasant. This isn't very special atall infact its disgusting. At first i thought this was a perfume because of how it looks, but on closer inspection- the bottle says deodrant. I don't quite understand how this is meant to serve purpose as a deodrant as it wears off and leaves you to sweat. This is really not worth the bottle its in let alone R.R.P of £25.86.. The packaging is almost identical to the D & G Light Blue, Eau de Toilette. The box in which it comes in is light blue suedette and the bottle itself is rectangluar with a light blue cap. Seriously i don't actually reccomend this to anybody, don't waste your money!!
Recommended for daytime wear!
