I used to use this deodorant / anti-perspirant a lot as I loved the smell. I found however that it didn't give very good protection and within a couple of hours of putting it on I would experience wetness and sweat marks. I have stopped using the deodorant because of it's poor performance.
The deodorant / anti-perspirant's lovely clean / fresh smell is it's main appeal, it isn't over-powering but gives a nice fragrance. I think I would continue to use this if it was the only deodorant available in the shop, but I would just try to avoid physically exerting myself!
This and other Dove deodorants / anti-perspirants claim to not leave white marks. I am yet to find a deodorant / anti-perspirant that actually lives up to this completely. This one in particular leaves loads of white marks and is a nightmare if you're wearing a black top!
The deodorant / anti-perspirant doesn't have a locking device on the cap to stop it spraying itself in your bag and ruining your clothes. I think it could benefit fro having something like this.
The product is in the mid price range of deodorants / anti-perspirants but in my opinion it doesn't work as well as others in a similar price range or the more expensive brands.
Other deodorant and anti-perspirant brands have begun to create compressed cans which are apparently more environmentally friendly, as far as I can see Dove are yet to do this. They might sell more if they began to do this.
I love the fresh scent of this deodorant, it isn''t too heavy or overpowering. Unlike many other brands I''ve tried (and I''ve tried quite a few!) It doesn''t feel cloggy or sticky when sprayed on. It also dries pretty quickly, which is good if you''re in a rush to get dressed in the mornings! I''m pretty sure my underarm skin has started to look and feel a bit healthier and softer/smoother - not that I look there all that often! It fits into my handbag nicely for a quick spritz on the go too. I occasionally use this product on my feet too, especially on hot days and find it to be pretty effective. As someone who tends to perspire quite heavily from time to time I do find however that this product can sometimes not be quite ''man enough'' for the task, especially after using for a while. I tend to team it with the Dove Maximum Protection stick (in the same scent) to get around this!
I am not loyal to one brand but I must admit to Dove products being one of my favourites and I do buy the brand quite a lot. I like to buy items I haven't bought before just to see if I like them or not or ones I buy on a regular basis. This one is one I hadn't bought before so thought I would give it a go.
It comes in a can with the name very clearly on the front and so can easily be spotted on a shelf. The nozzle at the top of the can is really easy to press to release the spray onto the skin without the nozzle sticking or jamming.
It sprays a nice even mist onto the skin and lands perfectly without feeling to wet or messy, it also doesn't shoot from the can in a direct shoot like some other brands, this one is very a very light mist. It has a really nice fresh smell to it and I can detect a subtle cucumber fragrance which is really a nice pleasant scent. It isn't too strong or overpowering and just smells light and fresh.
It also dries really quickly so I can get dressed soon after using it after a shower or bath. What I like about this deodorant also is that it helps moisturise the skin under my arms and when I touch my skin after applying it, it feels incredibly smooth and soft and a lovely feeling.
It does keep the skin really dry during the day and it has staying power for keeping my skin dry and I don't have any white marks on my clothing at the end of the day so is a good one because I hate a deodorant which leaves those nasty white marks on my clothing, especially if I am wearing dark clothing that day. This one also doesn't transfer any residue onto clothing and no powder marks have appeared on my clothing, so all good.
I like the way it has a nice fresh scent which I can smell quite a while after spraying it, this fresh smell lasts for ages and during the day the cucumber scent tends to fade and all I can smell is the fresh smell.
This one gives me the confidence that I am not going to have any wet patches on my clothing a sight I hate to see on people being it a man or woman. This look isn't a nice one and this deodorant just gives me peace of mind that I am not going to raise my arms and have a fear my clothing is wet. This one helps me keep dry all day. I don't sweat that much but I am on the menopause and have hot flushes day and night, this one just helps relieve my mind of fear that when I do have a hot flush I am not going to feel uncomfortable and think I am going to have wet patches on my clothing. Although I have hot flushes I don't feel wet under my arms, it is mainly my face which feels wet although it isn't actually wet the flushes just feel like I am wet all over
my face when it isn't really wet. I just sometimes worry that the flushes may cause wetness to my skin under my arms and this deodorant just helps me feel more comfortable and reassured.
This one is suitable for all age groups and a nice one for a teenager to try to learn how deodorants work and for them to learn and try to keep dry during puberty and their teenage years.
For a 250ml it cost me just £1 on special offer some time ago and the usual price is around £3.25 and so a huge saving. I think it is super value for the offer price and still good value for money for the original price. The quality is super in my opinion.
I will most certainly buy this one again in the future because it keeps me dry all day long and has a lovely fresh smell. I highly do recommend it if you are looking for a nice deodorant because I don't think this one would be a disappointment.
I give this one 5 stars.
Thank you for reading my review and I hope it has been of some help.
As deodorants go, I am usually a fan of roll on ones, given that I like the coverage that you get compared to the spray on alternatives. As always however, the bargain spotter in me means that I can't turn down a good offer and therefore when I saw this "Dove Fresh Touch Cucumber and Green Tea" in my local Wilkinson's store for just £1.50 I popped a can in my basket.
If clean lines and fresh packaging are your thing then this deodorant ticks all the right boxes. The bottle stands upright, the colour of it being predominantly white with the 'Dove' logo emblazoned on the front. Unlike the Dooyoo image, the lid of this deodorant is light green and translucent in colour and this colour scheme is mirrored in the green cucumber and green tea leaf illustrated on the front. On the front of the bottle we are told that this anti-perspirant deodorant provides up to 48 hours of protection and contains 0% alcohol as well as having a cucumber and green tea scent. Whilst these are not two fragrances that I would put together I hoped that the mixture of the two would provide a scent that was fresh and clean.
Turning the bottle over, we are given a paragraph of text on how to use this product as well as Dove writing about the unique moisturising properties of this product. There is also the statement: "Wake Up. Go Fresh" a statement that I immediately wanted to put to the test.
Opening the lid of my bottle by simply pulling it off, the spray applicator though white in colour has a light green circle on the top which is spongy in texture when pressed. The spray jets easily out of the nozzle when sprayed and gives a light mist of deodorant. It is the smell of this product that I love, that being a lovely fresh scent which is not too overpowering. The cucumber ingredient is clearly definable whilst the green tea only adds, in my opinion, to the freshness of the fragrance. The overall effect is clean and soft in scent and mingles perfectly with my perfume.
~Application and Use~
Dove recommend that this deodorant is shaken well before use and then sprayed at a distance of around 15cm to the armpit area. Being someone who can be a little too keen with deodorant I do like to give a couple of good sprays per armpit just to ensure that they are well covered. The deodorant dries quickly on my armpits and means that I can generally put my clothes straight on after spraying, however given that I very rarely wear black at this time of year I cannot comment on whether the product leaves white marks.
Having recently got a new job, I no longer commute to work but instead walk, the distance being just under a mile. Whilst this is a new luxury for me, the hours in the car every day not being missed, it does mean that I perspire slightly more than I did while stationary in my car and therefore need a product that will protect me and my new colleagues. I love the way that this deodorant makes me feel in the morning, the fresh scent makes me feel clean and ready to go. After walking to work, I find that the scent is still fresh and uplifting and whilst it does not protect me entirely from sweating it does still leave a clean smell. This smell lasts throughout the day in the office and only begins to fade after I have walked home. At this point I am not too bothered as I know that I will be having a wash, however it does question the 48 hours longevity time that Dove print onto the bottle.
~Price and Availability~
This deodorant can currently be purchased in two bottle sizes those being 150ml and 250ml. In Superdrug this will set you back £2.89 for the small size and £3.65 for the large and this price is also reflected in Boots. This price does seem pretty standard when compared to other brands, however I think it is a tad on the expensive side and would therefore look for this product as part of a deal in the future.
Overall this is an effective deodorant that provides a fresh clean scent throughout my working day. I would therefore recommend it and will be buying it again in the future.
Thanks for reading! x
Browsing through Superdrug some time ago I noticed these 250ml Dove aerosols on offer for about £1.92 or so. As they are usually around 3 quid at full price I took advantage of the offer and purchased 2 (one for me and one for sis) and have recently been using it in my swimming change bag when I take my daughter to the local leisure centre.
It comes in a white metal canister, which is rather slimlined and comes up at the neck. It has a mild green replaceable cap which matches the theme of the slice of cucumber and the green tea leaf highlighted on the front of the bottle (although for some reason in the picture the cap is blue?!) . It is explained on the canister that it contains 0% alcohol and provides "protection that allows skin to breathe". Thanks Dove!
The spray is easy to use, hold about 15cm away from the underarm (careful not to use immediately after shaving!) and spray onto skin. I find it comes out in an ample amount so I do not need to spray excessively, just a little squirt is enough to do the job and it settles instantly so I don't have to wait about flapping my arms like a chicken for it to dry! I find I can get dressed and it doesn't leave any white stains/streaks on my clothes which is a result!
As an anti-perspirant/deodorant this is is a good product as it lasts reasonably long and I find it is a nice little top up during the middle of the day when we have been out swimming to prevent me feeling hot and sticky and giving me protection for the rest of the day. It is advertised (as most are these days!) to give 48 hour protection but for this I cannot agree as I am yet to go 48 hours without washing and only using this spray as a deterrent from an awful BO smell haha! Saying this, it is enough to last me all day and for this I would recommend it as it does allow me to perspire less and in turn leaving me smell fresher for longer.
My only small niggle about this is the smell. I am not too sure what a combination of green tea and cucumber should actually smell like but this smells more like overly strong cucumber (no hint of green tea here) and like the roll on it is not a smell I exactly want to associate with myself so I generally add a splash of perfume on top anyway so as to cancel this out!
I bought this on offer and it usually costs around £2 from supermarkets/chemists and other retailers. Overall I have been pleased with this deodorant on and would recommend it, as it does the job and leaves me feeling fresh.
What is this product?
Dove deodorant "Fresh Touch Cucumber and Green Tea". This is my deodorant of choice (if im not wearing black). I buy the 250ml Can from Boots. I probably buy one every 2-3 weeks, just to give you some idea of how long this size will last you. For this size its normally around the £3.69 mark. Luckily, like most things I love from Boots they are generally on offer - not necessarily in this size but the smaller can seem to be constantly available for 2 for £3 which suits me just fine. - one for the gym bag and one for the bathroom.
Just lovely, if the title of this product sounds fresh (cucumber and green tea) then it is telling the truth! It is indeed fresh. It smells natural. You know those really cheesy adverts with the beautiful women standing in the tropical waterfall - no ladies it doesn't teleport you there - but if you could bottle that mise-en-scene, that view, then Dove have come as close to doing this as humanly possible in my humble opinion. It does not smell "manufactured", just natural...the essence of nature.
The scent - but we have covered that already. Well, it does the job. From my experience, you are always going to sweat, physical excursion, cramped tubes or just plain old nerves get the better of us. I think its is one my worst nightmares to be on the tube and be sweaty and smelly and have no choice but to grab the rail above someone's nose, lets face it who would want that! This product by no means stops the swear (it is not an anti-persperant) but it does do the job as far as your pits go! You will not smell bad once you have used this. You can take a good whiff and you wont be disappointed!
It REALLY leaves white marks when you are getting dressed. Best to get dressed then release a well aimed jet underneath them! If you forget and pull on your t-shirt over your head after applying you WILL get big white marks which appear to become glued on to your clothing. To get them out you have to scrub at the with a damn flannel.
I buy one deodorant for everyday use (this one) and another for anti-white marks (see other review) and im never disappointed. All they need now is to invent something that smells this good, works this hard, but managed to let you wear that silk blouse without the sneaking sweat seeping through! Tee hee
Like most people I like to have a squirt of anti-perspirant deodorant after I get out of the shower, one of my deodorants currently in use is Dove Go Fresh Cucumber & Green Tea Scent. Again this deodorant claims to offer 48 hour protection and again this is not a claim that I have or wish to try out.
The deodorant can is a nice compact shape holding 150ml of product, the can boasts a new formula and that it contains ¼ moisturiser and vitamin E to improve the look and feel of my underarms.
The green lid is easy to pull off and it reveals a large rubberised spray button, the button is relatively easy to press. When pressed it releases a nice jet of anti-perspirant deodorant.
The scent of this deodorant is described as "crisp, nature inspired... Cucumber & Green Tea... refreshingly light... feel fresh and clean all day".
A quick spray under the arms reveals that the deodorant is very gentle on my skin; there is no stinging or tingling even after shaving. The deodorant goes on smoothly leaving behind no dampness or white residue. I am happy to get dressed immediately after spraying.
The scent is very fresh and smells outdoorsy, in a nice way. I can smell a slight floral scent, under cut by a fresh smell, I would not describe it as cucumber and I definitely can not smell green tea. I can smell the scent of the deodorant all day, not as a giant cloud of scent but a close sniff of the under arm area reveals a pleasingly clean scent.
Dove Go Fresh is one of the better working anti-perspirant deodorants in my draw, it is the one I would go for if I was to be doing anything strenuous such as a walk to town, gardening or decorating. I know that Dove will protect me from under arm dampness and will keep me fresh till I jump in the shower.
I have not noticed whether my under arms look and feel improved as I do not spend exceptional amounts of time with my arms in the air or stroking my own under arms.
I brought my deodorant recently when it was on offer for a £1, I don't really like to spend much more than that on deodorants. Dove Go fresh usually sells for around the £2 mark in most shops.
In conclusion I find Dove Go Fresh Cucumber & Tea Tree scent to be a quite effective anti-perspirant deodorant, it keeps my under arms smelling nice till shower time without being overly wet or powdery.
Thank you for reading.
I've never actually bought a Dove deodorant product and usually tend to purchase their skin products and hair products of which there are plenty. Last time I was out shopping however I was in need of a new deodorant and saw this and a few other scents on sale at my local supermarket and decide I may as well try it out now having been curious as to what they were like before. Dove products are always high quality and I must admit if I had more money I'd use them much more regularly. Especially their skin products which always leave my skin feeling smooth and hydrated afterwards. With that in mind I wondered if their deodorants would live up to my expectations and do a similarly effective job and was glad to discover it did.
The fragrance of this deodorant is cucumber and green tea which can be deduced from the name. Its pretty strong I've got to say and not necessarily my favourite smelling deodorant I've tried as of yet. I tend to only use deodorants for their effectiveness and add an extra 'layer' of fragrance with whatever body spray I'm using at the time so that particular issue wasn't too bad for me. However, I do know there are people who may be looking for a pleasant smelling on its own deodorant and in my opinion this is not one of these. The smell isn't bad per se, its just not to my tastes, but it makes a nice change from more sterile manufactured scents which aren't even a flavour/flower and are ominously named things like "Extra fresh" and no other hint as to its contents.
The aerosol is white with a pale green colour which resembles its scent. One thing I do like about the product is the spray button as it were, which is easy to press without being a bit too weak and leading to over-application, but also an excellent angle so that it can be applied simply and easily.
This deodorant is very effective and does last for a pretty decent amount of time. The fragrance is ok enough and while not to my tastes I know that my Mum loves it and is the sort of scent that other people would enjoy whilst I do not (if that makes sense - I can appreciate what other people would like). I don't tend to sweat as much as I might with less expensive no-named brands but at the same time its not exceptionally drying. However, this is perhaps a good thing as if it were entirely drying it might also have the effect of drying out the under arms and leaving your skin a little coarse.
Price and availability:
I purchased two tubes of the stuff (in different scents) from my local Morrisons while on my weekly shop for 2 for £3. Usually the product costs over £2.50 for a 150ml aerosol which is a tad expensive but probably about reasonable for a very high quality product from a popular name such as Dove.
Overall I think this is an effective product that does the job and smells ok. It does leave my underarms feeling smooth after use which is definitely a bonus and is pretty long lasting to boot. I would recommend this product as while I'm not a huge fan of the scent it definitely isn't bad and is a nice neutral scent (in my opinion). It is light and airy feeling and applies easily which again are positives. A good product which continues my high opinion of Dove products.
I have been using this Deodorant for probably around 2 1/2 years now. I am not brand loyal and tend to pick up whatever Deodorant is on offer - within reason. I tend to stick with ether Dove, Sure or Soft and Gentle though. I have usually been Soft and gentle as that is on offer quite a lot at Asda but it is only after getting round to using Dove more often thesedays that I remember how fresh and dry it makes me feel.
This Deodorant comes in a 150ml tin. My one looks different than the picture on here as it is still a white tin but the lid and more of the writing is a light green colour. It is easy enough to squirt the spray part on here but it doesn't feel plastic it has a slight rubbery feel to it. It is still easy though.
The scent of this is so nice and definitely my favourite scent in the range. You do get the light scent of the Dove brand so a Moisturising Creamy smell but the Cucumber and Green Tea smell is just lovely. I know that Cucumber doesn't have a scent to it really, but the 2 smells is just a light, fresh scent. It is hard to explain the smell and I thought that the Green Tea would be quite a strong scent but it is just a nice fragrance.
As I have already stated this does keep me dry. I spray my Deodorant at approx 6am when I am up for work and even now I don't feel all that damp under my arms. The scent still lingers and I can still smell a whiff of this at bed time.
This normally sells for around the £2 mark but Asda is selling this for £1 at the moment. You can also get this in a larger tin which I think is a 250ml perhaps and that one normally costs around £3.40 in my local Asda.
A great Deodorant brand and such a nice scent from Dove as well. I hope this one is never discontinued.
It seems very hard lately to find a good deodorant that works because of the huge range to choose from in the shops; all promising amazing results but never delivering. I eventually decided to settle on dove because they actually produce deodorants that last and protect you. I love this one especially because it is a large can which helps because it lasts for a long time (a few months at best). The spray is great because it is so simple to use and it is perfect for sharing with anyone, unlike the roll ons.
My only issue would be that because it is so large, it isnt the best product for travelling and especially unsuitable for taking on nights out. It is best suited to anyone who just needs something to use at home in the morning.
I have never had any problems with rashes or redness and so is great in that respect. I would suggest that you test it though if you have sensitive skin as i dont know if it is suitable for sensitive skin.
The deodorant is great in that it is effective for a whole day and so you dont have to worry about having to reapply during the day- unless you are doing exercise. Then i suggest you should go for something smaller to fit into your bag.
It smells great with the green tea coming out and really does keep you feeling fresh as it says on the packaging.
If you are looking for a reliable deodorant then i would definitely recommend dove and this product is my pick for just overall performance and quality.
I am a big fan of Dove, and after dabbling with Sure deodorants for far too long, I decided to try other brands and see if there was better on offer. I picked up this Dove Fresh Cucumber and Green Tea Deodorant when doing my shopping the other day, and little was I to know that it would soon become one of my favourites!
The product is displayed as shown on the image, however sometimes the cap will be green in colour. You get 250ml worth of product within each aerosol can, which is a fair amount and does last about three to four weeks. In Boots, this deodorant retails at £3.32, which I must admit is a fairly steep price for a deodorant, however it is often on offer within different places. Try pharmacies and supermarkets, as they often have buy one get one frees or these for really cheap prices. I am sure I only paid £1.00 for mine when I picked mine up, so it is worth shopping around!
As you are aware, most deodorants have the same sort of smell, and I find this very off putting as it is not particularly pleasing, and does nothing at actually giving your underarms any sort of attractive scent, as many deodorants focus on just masking body odours. One of my main attractions to picking this deodorant up was that it had a lovely scent to it, which is cucumber and green tea. I do love these scents, and the cucumber comes across really strongly within this deodorant, and it does give your underarms a much fresher smell, which actually helped me to feel more confident in wearing this deodorant, as I had the reassurance that I smelt nice. I also think this scent is perfect as it is very fresh, and this is what you are wanting from a deodorant. Anything strong such as floral scents would be far too overpowering.
When using this deodorant, do make sure you shake it up well before use, as this helps to avoid any white marks occurring. Ensure you hold it a good distance away from your underarm to avoid stinging, which is I problem I do tend to face with deodorants, as I have very sensitive underarms. Since using this deodorant however, I have not experienced any stinging at all, which means I can therefore recommend this deodorant to those who suffer from sensitive skin also. I was expecting this from the product, as Dove are fairly well known for being kind to skin and delivering results to fit even the most sensitive of skin. Another benefit of this deodorant is that it did not leave any white marks what so ever. Therefore, I am confident to use this when I am wearing black t-shirts as no marks will show through, which is a problem faced with many of Dove deodorants other competitors.
Overall, apart from the steep price, I would recommend this deodorant completely, as it delivers effective results, and does leave you feeling fresh throughout the day. You do not get covered with white marks, and you can be confident that your body odour is masked, as well as smelling fresh and delicious like cucumber. I urge you to try out this deodorant if you are able to find it on offer somewhere, because it is unlikely that you will regret it! Thanks for reading.
I received this deodorant as a substitute for another deodorant that I had ordered from Tesco. I do not really have one particular deodorant I just tend to get what is on offer so I decided to get one that was half price, Tesco had run out so they sent me this instead. A more expensive deodorant for half the price, I was delighted.
-Using the deodorant-
This is a spray deodorant that claims to provide protection that allows skin to breathe. Despite this deodorant being an anti-per spirant I have found on a couple of occasions that I have sprayed it and my arm pits have been white, this is because I didn't shake the canister before I used it. So be warned!
When you spray the deodorant it dries instantly and doesn't leave your underarms feeling sticky or moist.
The particular scent that Tesco have me is fresh touch cucumber and green tea, this might sound strange for a deodorant scent but it is actually quite pleasant. The scents blend well together to create a scent that is very fresh and natural. You can definitely smell the cucumber, it is a light scent that does the job.
-What the deodorant claims-
The deodorant has ¼ moisturising elements like many other Dove products. Now I don't make any particular effort to usually feel how soft my under arms are but for the purpose of this review I thought I should have a go, and I must say they do feel lovely and smooth.
There is 0% alcohol in the deodorant so if you use it after you have shaved you won't get any irritation.
Dove claim that this deodorant will keep you fresh for 48 hours! That is a long time and I cannot say if this is true because I do not go that long without having a shower but it does pass the freshness test. I have used this deodorant and exercised and my underarms have still felt and smelt fresh. Although I may have sweated during exercise the deodorant just make my underarms smell like cucumbers, lovely!
This is an all round good deodorant that won't leave you worrying about sweating, smelling or feeling sticky. Highly recommended 9 out of 10.
I am quite the fussy customer when it comes to deodorant because I find that many varieties can irritate my skin a fair bit, and it becomes uncomfortable. After some trial and error I have found that in general the Dove spray deodorants are the best for sensitive skin (that includes all of their scents in the range, not just the extra sensitive one).
Normally I do not buy this particular scent, although recently it was the only one on offer at £1.69 rather than £2.79 (or sometimes 2 for £4) so thought I would give it a go.
The main feature of this is naturally the cucumber and green tea element, and although I can't really say I could smell either of those things, the scent it gave off after spraying was nothing but pleasant. It just smelled fresh and clean, which is exactly what I was after. As the day progressed while wearing this deodorant I could continue to smell it lightly under my clothes, it wasn't by any means overpowering, but it was definitely there and prevented any smell of perspiration. I wouldn't go as far to say that the product totally stopped perspiration but did a very good job at doing so, considering I was being quite active. In other words, it totally suits my needs, but may not be suitable for somebody being far more active.
The bottle for this, as with all the others, is very sturdy, doesn't dent very easily and the spray mechanism is of good quality. It has a nice rubberised bit on the top which makes spraying a lot easier and more controlled.
For my needs I give this 4/5, losing a mark for the normal RRP.
This is the first time I have used a Dove spray deodorant, and I found that I was not satisfied with the product. When I used the product as directed, and was doing just light exercise, I found it did not stop me from sweating, nor stop the sweat from smelling. I also found that the spray was one that really got down my throat, and made it hard to breathe, so I had to spray in one room, and move away quickly. I found that, for me, the product was not one that made my underarms look flawless, as I could see white marks, which also showed when I wore dark tops. As well as this, I didn't particularly like the smell of the product, as I thought it was a bit overpowering. I also think the product is an expensive one, and as I did not really like anything about the product, I personally will steer clear of Dove spray deodorants in the future.
Dove is my usual deodorant but I have not bought it recently becuase it is so expensive and there does not seem to be any deals on them at the moment. The product is usually quite good, sometimes I do find I sweat sometimes but this deodorant does seem to be one of the better products on the market.
I like the different fragrances they have on offer, they are lovely and fresh and are not at all sickly sweet smelling. However I would like more variety in fragrances. I am getting a bit bored of buying the same one all the time and would be more willing to stay loyal to the dove brand if they had more to offer me. I like the design of the bottles, they feel nice and the colours of the different fragrances are not to garish and are nice and subtle. Over the product is effective and I would buy again if they were on a deal or were cheaper in comparision to other products.
Offers maximum dry protection /
