Since I was first pregnant I couldn't stand the smell of any aerosols and could only use roll on's. I still mostly stuck with dove though. I love the whole dove range, it's fab!
I recently decided though that I would go back to trying out sprays as I always remembered it to be much more effective.
They usually retail in the shops at about £2- £3 for a 250ml bottle. However it is often be found on offer for £1 - £1.50 ish so if I find it on offer I tend to stock up on a few bottles. As I personally think it can be quite expensive when not on offer.
It's in a white bottle with a simple design, the lid is dependent of which scent you choose. There are lots of other scents available in this range such as fresh cucumber and green tea (green), pure (light blue), original (dark blue), pomegranate (pink), but my favourite has to be this one; grapefruit and lemon grass (yellow).
The smell is so light and refreshing. It is very feminine.
On the bottle it states it has 48 hour protection. After using the deodorant I keep smelling the lovely scent all day long every time I move, just as strong as when I'd first put it on.
This deodorant keeps me feeling fresh and clean all day long. Would definitely recommend.
Like many people I tend to buy the deodorant that's on special offer at Boots, and that's how I came to try this one. It comes in a large white can; the colour means that despite its size, it isn't too obtrusive in the bathroom. It smells very fresh. I didn't find the scent lasted, but I might be drowning it out with my perfume. As a deodorant it certainly works. I travel by tube in the rush hour and that must be the ultimate test. It keeps me dry and comfortable. I'm impressed by that and also by the fact that it doesn't sting or make me feel it's harsh. I use it once a day, and it continues to be effective from the time I apply it until the end of the day. I've never tried its "48 hour" powers, but it certainly lasts for the best part of twenty four, and I would buy it again. Having said that there are other, cheaper deodorants and I shall try those in case one works as well.
I cannot put into words how much I adore this product. A friend of mine used it one night just before we went out. The smell is amazing. It smells so fresh, fruity and lovely. I'm very fussy with smells!
I often change which deodorant I use, but this one is easily my favourite. However, it is a little expensive so whenever it's on offer in Boots, I stock up!! I'm still yet to try the other type (the green one... something with cucumber perhaps?!) but i'm sure that'll just be as lovely. I've recommended this product to many people I know and they all had the same opinion as me.
As for keeping my underarms dry, it worked as well as any other good anti-perspirant. Now I am a sweater (as grim as that sounds), and my underarms never stay dry. This didn't keep my underarms dry but it did prevent me smelling. I smelt fresh all day long which was a nice surprise as other products i've tried lately have let me down.
Amazing product - would highly recommend.
I like to swap and change my deodrant and anti-perspirant sprays and am not loyal to any brand when it comes to buying these products for me the one thats on offer gets popped into the basket at the supermarket and this week I spotted the Dove grapefruit and lemongrass on offer at Morrisons for £1 so into the basket it went.
The tube of spray is a metal can of 250ml of aerosol spray and has to be disposed of properly when finished with as it can explode if you put in near or in a fire, it is also a solvent so should be kept out of reach of children.
The design is a light fresh design with a white background and the Dove logo on the front, it has a sliced grapefruit and a sprig of lemongrass draped across the grapefruit, the top is a yellow plastic and you press the top down to dispence the spray.
When you first spray this deodorant you can instantly smell the lemongrass it is quiet strong and you get wiffs of it all day long, the grapefruit isn't as prominent a scent but you can smell it after the initial lemongrass odour.
It has a 48 hour protection and I have been using it now for three days and I'm very happy with the product.
It does leave a white mark on clothes if you are wearing black so be careful to let it dry once you have applied it then it should be alright to get dressed in any colour without it leaving a mark on your clothes.
This is an anti-perspirant - deoderant which means it stops you perspiring by blocking the pores as well as neutralizing the odour of sweat.
I usually buy just a deoderant as it only neutralises and deodorises the odour and is less harmful to your skin, but the low price got me.
Dove is a well known and trusted product and I'm happy with my purchase. I probably won't buy it again as it won't be on offer when I next go to the supermarket and it's not something I would pay full price for.
I like it's performance and it does what it says on the tin.
I was bored of the scent of deodrants like SURE and SOFT AND GENTLE and i saw this. I wasnt that sure at first because i hadnt used many dove products before but i must say it is wiked! The smell is not a soury lemon like i thought it would be but its actually a sweet lemoney with a hint of grapefruit smell. The smell is beautiful and fruity i have never smelt a deodrant that smells like that before! its refreshing and cool which is great for the summer. it wasnt just the smell that i was impressed with, it actually did keep my underarms fresh for 48 hors! I put it on in the day when i woke up and i stayed at my sisters house the next day and my underarms were still fresh and didnt smell like B.O (body oudour). I use it nearly every day and i think that is one of the best deodrants out there, especially for the extra smelly and sweaty people (not that i am!) ;)
Dove Go Fresh is a spray on deodrant in energising Lemongrass and grapefruit scent. It is 250ml in size and available from most good stores. I usually buy this when it is on offer 2 for £4 (usally at Boots, Asda or Tesco).
It claims to have 'protection that allows skin to breathe' and I have to agree. It sprays on very lightly onto your skin, but I feel protected all day. I usually only need to use once on a morning for all day freshness. It contains no alcohol so is very gentle and prevents bad skin reactions. In the past my skin has been sore from some deodrants however I have been using this product since it first came out around 2 years ago and I love it. It does contain 1/4 moisturising cream as all Dove items do, which I think helps to keep skin soft rather than sore.
The smell is very refreshing and citrussy. I don't really think it energises me but it does help to start the day on the right note. This product does come in other scents; I have tried the Cucumber and Green Tea scent, which is more subtle but I do prefer this one.
Overall it gives you protection all day so you will stay nice and fresh. it has a nice smell and doesn't leave any nasty white marks. At roughly £2 per 250ml it is good value and the bottle will last a long time. The spray is easy to use and a little spray goes a long way. The bottle claims it gives 48hour protection but I would refresh every morning.
On my quest for new and better deodorants, I decided to go back to a trusted favourite, no better as such in properties, but one with my favourite scent to it.
The product I will now review is - Dove, go fresh - anti-perspirant deodorant"
The selling point for this when being purchased was because it is twice the size of any other deodorant on the shelf, I have no idea why as I have never seen the big bottles before, and it doesn't state that it has so many % extra free, so it must be a new size available, nevertheless, this was available on offer from Asda for £2.00 a bottle containing 250ml.
The bottle, along with the others in the range, is white with the corresponding colour to the scent, this one being a lovely citrusy yellow colour.
The spray is a rather fancy silicone layer of "skin" atop the nozzle button in the same colour.
The product states itself as being 0% alcohol and 24 hour protection - definitely, ok, well we will see about that one!
I spray on my underarm as I would normally, straight after showering and shaving, there is no sting to be felt but unfortunately there did seem to be a little snow fall, though I have no idea what causes this! Again this product leaves a thin layer of powder o the underarm so you do have to be careful when putting on your top, or at least have a damp cloth to hand.
The smell of this spray is divine, it is stated as energising grapefruit and lemongrass scent, but is so much more.
The scent is fresh, citrusy, uplifting but not too sweet or sour, just really distinct and very pleasant. The scent lingers for ages after application, and again is more apparent when your body starts to warm up a little.
Now for the 24 hours claim.......not the entire 24 hours, but not far off it! Of course if you have been to the gym or doing some real physical exertion this deodorant will of course have to be re-applied at some point, but if it is to stop you sweating and smelling during the daylight hours (and bear in mind, mine has to contend with 1 hours housework, then the school run, then 5 hours work, then the school run again, before getting to a shower!), so this has definitely got my mark!
