I am a pretty loyal Dove customer, but for a good reason. They provide a cost effective, great product which forces me to stay with the brand! I'm quite fussy when it comes to my deodorant, obviously. Not only do I want a high level of protection from daily stresses, but I want a nice smell that's not overpowering & deodorant which doesn't mark my clothes! My first impressions of spray deodorants were quite negative, I would always end up with white fallout which made my armpits look like they had dandruff to be honest! Roll on's don't quite work for me either, I'm always in a rush in the morning, and roll ons leave me feeling sticky unless I hold my arms out to the side for ages and pretend I'm in a Western film preparing to draw my gun. That is of course, until Dove. Dove Invisible deodorant feels soft on my skin, doesn't mark my clothes, and smells gentle & not sickly sweet. The spray lasts for a long time during the day. I work in an office so I don't get overly sweaty, but if I'm on my way out in the evening, I do like a top up of spray just to feel fresh. I dislike floral perfumed sprays that are currently on the market. I like my antiperspirant to protect me from sweat, and my perfume to smell nice. Having perfumed antiperspirants are a bit like having a 'jack of all trades and a master of none!' Whereas Dove smells 'clean' & I can wear it WITH a body spray. The two smells don't mix and make it a choice between wearing one or the other. At the moment, the cans are offered in two different sizes, neither of which are clutch bag friendly if you are on a night out. However, Dove are in the process of compressing their cans in order to reduce waste and become more environmentally friendly, which is a cause I strongly support.
I work on a very busy very hot hospital ward, I need a deodorant that keeps me dry and ensures no BO! This product does the job! I never feel sweaty or stinky using Dove. Although it can be expensive when I find it on sale/ offer I always buy in bulk! I find the smell to be pleasant and in no way overpowering, I recommend Dove to all my friends whenever out shopping. The nausel on the bottle works well and in all the years iv used Dove I have never once had one malfunction or not work as I have experienced with many other deodorants from different company's. Is available in a bigger and smaller can. Small can I find handy for my work bag/ work locker. The larger can is more bulky and is better suited for keeping in the house. I find that I only need an application in the morning after a shower, when not working, for doing day to day activities e.g. Cleaning, shopping, chasing after my little boy etc. However when working or going to the gym I find I need a couple extra applications to continue to feel dry and smelling nice. This I find is normal for most deodorants. I should add I'm not a particularly overly sweaty or smelly person ( in my opinion lol), and Dove works well for me, however I'm not sure how well it would work for a sweaty person. I have never had white marks on my clothes from this product and would confidently wear it with a black top! I would recommend this to every woman confident they would have a good experience with the Dove Invisible Dry Deodorant.
When it comes to deodorants, I am loyal to the brand that I use because it is one area that you don't want to get let down in. And one brand which doesn't let me down is Dove. I found the product on offer recently and chose the Dove Invisible Dry Deodorant. What does the product do? The product promises to give you 24 hours of protection from sweating and bad smells. It also promises to minimise the appearance of white marks which can get all over your clothing and make you look scruffy. It has been made using 1/4 moisturising cream so it also promises to leave the skin under your arms looking and feeling good. It claims that it will leave the skin soft and smooth, and protects the skin after shaving. It doesn't contain alcohol so it will be gentle on the skin. Packaging The product comes contained within a white tin which has some extra information about the product on the back. It has pale pearly grey lid and when you remove it, you push down on the dispenser to release the deodorant. It doesn't have much detailing other than invisible written on the front in pale writing. The product usually costs around £3.50 for 250ml although a smaller product is also available which is cheaper. The product is frequently on offer so I usually stock up when I see this. Application and Performance The product comes out quickly when you push down on the top and it comes out as a mist which has somehow set my fire alarm off once or twice. It has a similar smell to the other deodorants but this one has a powdery edge which does smell fresh but doesn't smell of anything in particular. The product goes dry on the skin straight away and it feels completely comfortable on my skin, even when I have used the product straight after shaving. It does keep me mostly dry but not completely. I do sweat quite a lot so I would be surprised if a supermarket product ever stopped me completely but it does help a lot. The powdery smell stays on the skin and it does stop any bad smells getting through. As promised it does minimise the appearance of white marks on your clothes but it doesn't stop them altogether so you still need to dress with care after application. The product does leave my under arms feeling soft and smooth, and although this has never been a major concern of mine, it's still nice to know! The effects are long lasting and I would say that they go the full promised 24 hours. Conclusion All in all, this is a good deodorant and although it is expensive, it is frequently on offer. The product stops me sweating quite a lot and it does keep me smelling fresh. It is gentle and ok to use after shaving, and leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth. It does minimise the appearance of white marks on my clothes although it doesn't stop it completely. I am happy with this deodorant and I would repurchase it again once I have run out of it.
I switched to Dove deodorant many moons ago after i developed very sensitive underarms, all other deodorants left me with unsightly, itchy, burning red skin...Dove sorted this problem out and i have never looked back. i first tried the Dove invisible dry last year, i was slightly apprehensive due to my previous problems with different deodorants but thankfully so far so good, it hasn't caused any skin reactions and my underarms are now smooth and rash free! Plusi have no more unsightly white marks on my black clothes!! I have, however, found its not a great antiperspirant, i now get slight damp patches on my clothes in the underarm area, something i never got before, they are slight though so not a huge problem just annoying sometimes. It has a lovely floral fragrence, though not over overpoweringly strong, that doesn't seem to wear off through the day so you always have the fresh scent. I tend to stock up on this when its on offer, i have found a lot of places do the big 250ml cans for £1.50 at regular intervals throughout the year! Other than the slight issue of underarm dampness this is a great product, especially if you suffer from sensitive skin. Thanks for reading :)
Sorry for the weird title to my review, everyone, I was trying to sum up how I feel about Dove Deodorant in just one catchy sentence, and I think I just failed miserably. I first bought a can of Dove Deodorant earlier this year as Boots had completely run out of my favourite deodorant which boasts 'no white marks', which is Sure. Sure had been on some kind of special promotion and the shelves were empty, and for this reason, and this reason alone I bought a bottle of Dove Deodorant thinking it might be just as good. I was going to opt for just the tiny trial size but once I compared the prices, I decided to opt for the standard sized can. It is a plain and quite simple looking can in pure white with a picture of a dove on the front and lightly coloured purple writing. The 150ml can boasts that it is 'black dress friendly'. This made me smile as it was exactly what I was looking for. I don't know about anyone else but I invariably manage to get deodorant marks on the sides of anything I wear which is even slightly dark coloured. The can cost me £1.92 (no special offer on this brand) so I only bought the one thinking it would tide me over and do the job. It has zero percent alcohol and claims to have one quarter percent moisturisers - as is the case with everything in the Dove range, I believe. I used it the same night after my shower and I noticed it felt quite cold on my skin when I first sprayed it and the contents came out in quite a forceful blast. What I don't like about this particular deodorant is the strong smell. It really caught on the back of my throat every time I sprayed it and it made me cough till my eyes watered. I also felt the aroma was strong enough to actually clash with my daytime perfume as the smell was so overriding. How does it measure up to my usual deodorant? Well, it doesn't really. I don't think I perspire any more than any other woman (though for some odd reason my left armpit has always been more prone to perspiration than my left one!) but this let me down by about lunch time every day and I found I needed another quick blast under the armpits to give me that fresh confident feeling I like. It is gentle on my skin, I cannot deny that and it does not irritate me even after I have just shaved so it is gentle but it lacks in staying power, and at the end of the day this is what we look for in a decent deodorant, isn't it? As far as its claims to be 'black dress friendly', well, I can vouch for that! It did not let me down even after it had just been sprayed under my arms and I immediately put on my black top - not a white mark in sight. Price-wise it is about average, I think, however, I would not buy this again even if it was on an offer or promotion as it just lacks the staying power I need. That, and the fact that it smells far too strong. Sorry Dove, but on this occasion I really cannot recommend your deodorant and I will stick with my Sure, as it never lets me down! N.B. ------ Also posted on Ciao! under the username "dawnieG" (I am THE SAME person & this review is my own work & NOT copied from another source)
I've been using this deodorant for a few months as my mum purchased around 10 cans when it was on offer! I can't wait to finish them all so I can try out another deodorant. Whilst it is better than some brands that I have used in the past the thing that really puts me off this one is the smell. I really do not think that it is a light, fresh smelling deodorant. The smell is clogging, heavy and talcum powder like. If you want a deodorant that smells light and fresh this is not the one for you. I have not tried the other dove deodorants that have different scents so I will possibly look out for these next time. In terms of being invisible, I tend to wait until it is dry before I put on clothes because if not it certainly will leave marks. I feel that I am more likely to try a brand such as 'Sure' as I regard it as more specifically a deodorant brand. I tend to believe that brands that cover so many different products, deodorants, soaps, shower gels, shampoos, moisturisers etc. are never fantastic but just ok in each area. A brand that does one product only does that product better - if that makes sense!
What girl does not have the obsession with smelling fresh?! After using deodorant on a daily basis for many years I could never find one what did not leave horrible white marks all over my black clothes... I was sick of angling the aerosol underneath my clothes desperate for it not to spray on to my clothes... very embarrassing... And then I found this wonderful product. I did the common test of spraying it on to the sleeve over my top whilst still in the supermarket to see if it really did what it said on the tin and hey presto - no white marks! I have used this deodorant ever since. It smells very fresh and lasts the whole day - even after exercise. The only downside to it is I have not found that they do any bigger cans - only the standard size shown here. This range of deodorants is available from almost every supermarket and shops like Boots and Superdrug. I have even spotted it once or twice in the Pound Shop. The average price for the product is around £1.60ish - I shop at Asda and it is often on special offer, which is a bonus! I would definitely recommend.
I usually go for Sanex roll-on deodorant although not all shops stock it, so when I ran out one day and nipped to my local shop for a replacement, I had to go for another brand. I chose Dove Invisible Dry as Dove is one of my favourite 'body stuff' brands; they make great products, are very good to their customers (they've sent me a birthday present every year for 5 years now, how sweet!), and they go out of their way to 'make a difference' in society. They have campaigned for natural beauty and self confidence for a few years now; it hasn't really 'helped' me, although it is really nice to see a company 'giving something back' and being passionate about something other than sales! Dove Invisible Dry is an Anti-perspirant deodorant that claims to... Give complete white mark protection Give 24 hour protection Contains Dove's ¼ moisturising cream for even more beautiful underarms It costs £1-£2 (depending on where you buy) and comes in a 150 ml aerosol can with a chunky, smooth, and easy to handle spray top. To use, you should hold the can around 15 cm from the under arm and spray. The product itself comes out in a thick mist, it smells very fresh and clean and the mist doesn't overpower you as some sprays do. It settles on the skin nicely and doesn't feel powdery. I would say that it fully sinks in after around 2-3 minutes, your underarms feel just as they did before application and there is no sticky or tacky layer. I am pleased to say that there are definitely no white marks when using this product. I am usually in a rush in the mornings so tend to put my clothes on straight after use rather than giving it a few minutes as you sometimes should. Dove Invisible Dry stands up to this challenge and has left my clothes free from even the slightest mark every single time. I'm not sure that it lasts the full 24 hours, although I've found that it is very rare than a deodorant lives up to this claim. When I use Invisible Dry I feel protected for most of the day; if it is a particularly hot day then I may feel that I need a 'top-up' around mid afternoon, although on a cool day I do feel protected all day. I think that this is pretty standard for '24 hour' deodorants. As for the moisturising claims, I'm not sure what a ¼ moisturising cream is, although I do find that my underarms feel slightly softer and smoother than they do otherwise. I always moisturise my whole body after bathing, although find that my underarms can still feel quite dry compared to the rest of my skin. At first I didn't really notice a difference, although after three weeks or so I could tell that my skin was in better condition than it usually was; the only difference in care being the use of Dove deodorant over Sanex. I am quite impressed with Dove Invisible Dry; it works well, smells nice, lasts a decent amount of time, and really does care for your skin. I am now torn between this, and my usual deodorant; the Sanex protects better, but Dove improves the look of my underarms. I think that I will continue using Dove throughout the colder weather, but will probably turn to Sanex in summer and when I need a little extra protection. In wouldn't hesitate to recommend Dove Invisible Dry as it is effective, reasonably priced, and really does live up to its claims (well most of them anyway!)... 5 stars!
I came across this deodorant when my mother in law to be, brought it me for Xmas ;) I thought it was a very good idea the 'invisible' part & is the first time i have seen it. I am terrible at spraying myself with loads of deodorant & then putting a nice slinky/ black top on & then having loads of horrible white marks. I first tried it with a gorgeous black mini dress that was very tight, so i knew if it didn't stain that then it work work on any item of clothing. So i went ahead & tried it. I put extra on as i was going on a night out & didn't have enough room in my clutch bag to take it with me. I let the deodorant dry for a few minutes first. I then took the test........... & it passed!!! I didn't have any marks on my dress at all. The deodorant lasted me all night for around 6 hours. I was extremely happy with it. The smell isn't the nicest i have smelt, it is very bland i think. The deodorant is good value for money & lasts me around 2 weeks. I have since used it in the day & think after around 7 hours a re-spray is needed, so if you have a long day i would recommend taking it out with you.
I use a lot of the Dove products on a daily basis because they are reasonably priced and smell nice. Another reason I like the Dove range of products as much is because they leave my skin feeling soft and moisturised. This is because the Dove range of products contain ¼ moisturising cream which helps to keep your skin feeling soft and smooth. I have been using Dove Invisible Dry Deodorant for a few months now and I quite like it because it's good value for money and smells nice. I first noticed Dove Invisible Dry when I was shopping in Tesco and decided to buy it and give it a try because my previous Sure deodorant was leaving horrible white marks on my clothes. The can of Dove Invisible Deodorant isn't very eye-catching or appealing because it has a very plain simple design and shape to it, but it's a deodorant so the look and design of the bottle aren't really important. The can is all white and is easily identifiable as a Dove product because it has the royal blue Dove logo printed onto it. The can of deodorant isn't big so it is quite a handy size for carrying in your handbag for a quick freshen up on the go. What I really love about Dove Invisible Dry deodorant is the fact that it doesn't nip my armpits when I use it especially after shaving them. A few other deodorants I've used in the past have made my underarms nip and sting when I have used it and this was made worse when I used it after shaving. Dove Invisible Dry is probably one of the first deodorants I have used which hasn't nipped my underarms, this is a big plus point in my opinion. Because the deodorant contains ¼ moisturising cream I think that this is the main reason it doesn't nip my underarms, the moisturising cream soothes and calms my underarms leaving them smelling and feeling nice. Dove claim that the Invisible Dry deodorant is supposed to last for 24 hours on your skin, I've never actually worn the deodorant for 24 hours straight so I can't comment on the staying power this is because I am in a shower first thing in the morning and a bath last thing at night. Although I can say that the smell of the deodorant lasts well over 12 hours and still makes me smell fresh if that's any help. The deodorant has a very fresh clean smell which is quite hard to identify and describe, but ill try my best to describe what it smells like though. Firstly the deodorant smells really light and airy and isn't overpowering and strong, so it won't choke you when you're spraying it. As well as being very lightly fragranced the deodorant has a slight sweet smell accompanied by a soapy freshness which makes it smell really clean and fresh. I really like the light scent of the deodorant because it's not overpowering and doesn't overpower and mask any perfumes I am wearing. Dove also claim that the Invisible Dry Deodorant helps to reduce those annoying white marks which deodorants leave behind on your clothes. Since using the deodorant I have noticed that there are less white marks left on my clothes. When I was using Sure deodorant there was always huge bright white marks left behind on my clothes and when I tried to brush them off they seemed to spread and look much worse. This isn't the case with Invisible Dry, instead of leaving huge bright white deodorant marks on my clothes, Invisible Dry seems to leave a really faint white mark which is easily brushed off and removed. So this is another great thing about the deodorant, because it certainly reduces the white marks a lot compared to other deodorants. When applying the deodorant to my underarms I also noticed that it tends to dry into my skin really quickly and I can put my clothes on almost instantly and not need to wait around on the deodorant drying. I have noticed Dove Invisible Dry for sale in supermarkets such as Tesco, Asda and Morrison's and the price seems to be between £1.09-£1.89 depending on where you purchase it from. You can also buy the deodorant from Boots, Superdrug, Semi-chem. etc and the price may vary again. Some supermarkets will have this on a special offer such as Buy One Get One Free so it is a good idea to have a look around and get a bargain. Overall I think that Invisible Dry is a great deodorant which is kind to my underarms and leaves them sting free and feeling soft and moisturised. The deodorant works very well and leaves me feeling fresh and dry all day without the need to worry about huge noticeable white marks on my favourite black top. I highly recommend Dove Invisible Dry because it smells great, is cheaply priced, reduces white marks and most of all it is really kind and soothing to underarms. This is one of the best deodorants I've bought. I use other Dove products, but this is the best one because it really doesn't leave any white marks at all, even if you spray a bit too much on! It's an improvement on using an invisible roll-on because you don't have to spend hours waiting for it to dry, and it is very convenient. It's quite often on special offer in Tesco and Boots, along with other Dove deodorants. It has a 'clean' smell, which is just noticeable but not overpowering. I get no skin irritation at all from this product, even straight after shaving my armpits. If you're in a hurry getting ready, this is a simple and fast solution for getting no deodorant marks all over your clothes, although I tend to use this more often than just when going out - this gives me more freedom to wear what I like without worrying about looking silly! Also, it is a very effective deodorant (well, that's the whole point of using it in the first place) - like other Dove products, I find it really works. I don't get sweaty or smelly at all, and this feeling lasts all day. This is a really good product, a little more expensive than other deodorants, but the quality is worth paying extra for.
Dove Invisible Dry For Christmas this year I've received lots of lovely presents. One of the presents I received was this deodorant. No, not just the deodorant! My friend wasn't suggesting I have smelly armpits.. or I don't think she was anyway! It came as part of a lovely, luxurious Dove party set which was packaged very posh in a shiny black Dove gift bag. This is a spray on deodorant and it isn't the kind of deodorant I would usually buy for myself. I usually stick to roll on deodorants as I for some reason I seem to trust them more. But Dove as a brand is one I have used before and would willingly use again. The bottle this comes in is white and tall with a silver, dome shaped lid. The writing is purple and there is a picture of a silver dove on it. To me this bottle looks pretty would attract me if I saw it on a shelf in Boots. You can see it for yourself in the product image at the top of the page. The bottle I have contains 150ml. When I first sprayed the deodorant onto my armpits I was impressed to see that it actually is completely invisible as in the name. It left no white marks and my armpits felt completely dry after I'd used it - apart from anti perspiration all day you have no idea its there. It says on the bottle 'black dress friendly' and I agree. The deodorant is 0% alcohol and it also has dove 1/4 moisturising cream so its made to look after your armpits after shaving and keep them soft and smooth. It says all over the bottle about how soft your underarms feel after using this but thats the only point about this I disagree with. I tested using this straight after shaving and it did sting a little bit. But if you wait until the day after shaving then its perfect. How to use: You shake the can well then spray from about 15cm away from your underarms. Do not spray near eyes or face or on sore or broken skin. You can buy this from Boots for a 150ml bottle costing £1.92. I was quite surprised to see that it is this cheap as I think it is really good quality. I would recommend this to anyone who hasn't tried it before; when I run out I think I'll try it again as its great for parties and as it says on the bottle its 'black dress friendly'.
Having very sensitive skin, particularly underarms (after shaving my skin is often red raw!), I have searched the market for a deodarant that does not irritate my skin yet at the same time does exactly what a deodarant should do. I have used several deodarants yet find that Dove, in general, seems to be the only brand that never lets me down. When it says 24 hour protection, it means 24 hour protection! I think that Dove Invisible Dry Deodarant is excellent - it protects, is kind to skin, and leaves no (and I mean no!) white marks on clothing. This deodarant has been a god send on Friday and Saturday evenings when I've hit the town in my LBD and for once I haven't had to worry about white marks and at the same time have been left care free and happy in the knowledge that I will be smelling fresh for the evening.
For several years I have used Boots own brand fragrance free anti-perspirant deodorant, but I had discovered that a few of the aerosols purchased recently had been leaving unsightly powdery marks on my clothes and on more than one occasion I found the propellant to be a little too harsh, so I decided it was time for a change. Having recently been impressed by Dove shampoo, I perused the deodorant aisle in my local Asda with a view to buying something suitable from the Dove range. As I am not a big fan of heavily perfumed products I wanted a simple, gentle yet effective anti-perspirant, so eventually I settled on a can of Dove Invisible Dry. Priced at £1.79 for a 150 ml can, I felt that Dove was a little on the expensive side compared with the other deodorants on the same shelf, given the rather modest volume contained in the can. The manufacturers say that Dove invisible dry deodorant contains a patented combination of translucent anti-perspirant ingredients that help to protect against white marks while delivering the protection and light fresh fragrance you expect. Sounds good, but in reality does it deliver? The slim streamlined aerosol can itself is white in colour with a small silver pull off cap. The contrasting lilac lettering on the can says "Invisible Dry, Anti White Marks anti-perspirant deodorant". I won't bore you with the exhaustive list of ingredients on the back of the can for the sake of padding out the review. The meaningful information claims that the product delivers 24 hour deodorant protection and absolutely minimises white marks. It also claims to be the only deodorant to contain ¼ moisturising cream to improve the look and feel of underarm skin. Containing 0% alcohol, it has been formulated to take care of your skin after shaving, leaving underarms soft and smooth. After shaking the can, the deodorant is easily dispensed via the rubberised spray top button. The initial aroma is quite subtle, very clean and soapy smelling and with a delicate hint of moisturising cream. The anti-perspirant is indeed "invisible". There was no avalanche of white powder cascading from my armpit, as experienced with the Boots deodorant and there was no evidence of marking on my clothes. The moisturising element of the product is also clearly apparent, as my skin did feel softer and smoother immediately after application. The propellant did not sting my armpits (even after shaving) and overall the deodorant seemed quite pleasant. However, when I buy anti-perspirant deodorant, I do expect it to stop me feeling sweaty and sticky throughout the day, and I felt that Dove failed quite miserably in this aspect of its performance. In fact I would go as far as saying I felt that Dove deodorant encouraged underarm perspiration, because a few hours after application my armpit felt sticky and uncomfortable. So much for 24 hour protection. In conclusion, I would say that overall, I was dissatisfied with this product. It may smell nice and it doesn't leave white marks, but what use is an anti-perspirant if it doesn't carry out its primary task? A definite thumbs down from me, especially at the ridiculous price they are charging for it.
Having bought some pretty bad deodorants recently, I have just discovered Mitchum deodorant roll-on. However as I am often, i.e. always running late in the morning a lot of the time I literally have to throw clothes on and go so don't have a lot of time to be standing around waiting for a roll-on to dry. So along with the Mitchum I needed a spray style deodorant. Two of the best spray deodorants are I believe Crystal and Dove so I picked up the Dove Invisible Dry version. These normally costs about £2.39 but were on offer for 2 for £3.99 so I bought two of them as part of my deodorant buying spree. The Dove packaging is nice as I generally find to be the case. The 250ml bottle is tall and thin in a matt white and always feels cold when I pick it up. On the front they have a little picture of a black dress and the promise to be black dress friendly. All the writing on the bottle is silver and grey and the lid is silver too. This deodorant is 'anti white marks'. This means it is meant to avoid those white smudge marks you get on black clothes that deodorant can sometimes cause. To use it just shake it and spray from 15cm away. I know no-one is going to get out a ruler and measure but I think that if you use deodorant too close to the body it increases the chance of those white marks. In terms of effectiveness it gets good marks as it keeps me feeling fresh and dry during the day. It probably wouldn't stand up to going for a run but for everyday life I have found it effective and have felt sufficiently protected for the rest of the day. Also, it is true that it does not leave black marks which I tried out to compare it to others I have and found that it only left a little smudge, miles better than its competitors. Although it doesn't say that it is scented I have noticed that if you do smell it, it smells of freshness which is nice though probably not noticeable once sprayed on.
Dove invisible deodorant contains all translucent anti-perspirant ingredients / so no more white marks!
