“ Brand: Fcuk / Type: Spray / Suitable for: Body „
I was in Boots buying a few other bits and pieces when I noticed a few cans of this deoderant reduced to fifty pence. There was nothing wrong with them, they appeared full and in good condition so I picked up a couple for stocking fillers for the men in my family. It seemed like a really good bargain, French Connection is quite a popular brand and their products normally sell for more than this.
The deoderant is packaged quite funkily, it looks as if it is in a thick metal case, quite industrial. The deoderant is actually called copper, which matches the packaging. The initial FCUK are indented into the deoderant. The only downside about the appearance is that I think it would look better if it had a lid. At first I thought the ones I had bought just didnt have lids as they were reduced, but I have since seen full priced ones all lid-less!
The deoderant itself smells nice, fresh and minty, but not too strong so you will smell like tooth paste! It is actually an anti perspirant too, so it stops you smelling rather than just covering it up.
The deoderant did not irritate the skin in anyway or create sores or dry patches.
The deoderant has been used every day since christmas and has only just ran out, so it gave a while months use. Not bad for fifty pence and a luxury brand!
Following on from my last review, Which was of FCUK's Urban Body Spray. I have chosen to review another of their deodorants. I requested FCUK Copper to review a few days ago and it was up on the site very quickly within a day or two. I bought this deodorant as part of a 3 for 2 offer in Boots, I also bought the Urban fragrance aswell which you will be able to read my review of. So after this introduction here is my review on FCUK's Copper Anti-Perspirant Deodorant.
For anyone not familiar with FCUK it's basically French Connection's United Kingdom brand. From the look of the can it has a slightly dated look which you don't really get when looking at FCUK Urban. This anti perspirant deodorant has an easy to use cap which once pressed released just the right amount of the deodorant spray at a time. Other deodorants in the range are of course Urban aswell as Sport and 1972. If I buy either of these I will be sure to review them on Dooyoo.
Whilst I was impressed with this fragrance, I was not quick as impressed as I was with FCUK's Urban fragrance which is more subtle and just has a better scent. Now that's not to say that FCUK Copper is a bad fragrance as it's cleary not. This deodorant will give off a masculine scent with a hint of spices and a tinge of sandalwood. It's also quite a fresh fragrance considering the spicy feel. It's freshness comes from the slight mint scent it gives off. This is a rather distinctive fragrance.
If you are looking for a deodorant to keep you dry under your arms then This could be one for you as it gives off really good results. There have been times that I have used this deodorant when I have still smelt the distinctive fragrance hours after use. I think that this fact is a key attribute in it's favour compared to some cheaper rivals which may not do as well under pressure as this does. It's not quite the best anti-perspirant I have tried but it's certainly up there with the better ones.
Having gone through the various sections of the introductio, how it smells, and finally the anti perspirant performance I have to say that this is a good deodorant. Whilst the fragrance may not appeal to as many people as the FCUK Urban Body Spray does it is still one to consider and with the offers like 3 for 2 it may be worth you giving this one a go alongside a different deodorant so you can alternate between the two and compare the results and decide which is the better anti perspirant deodorant.
