“ Brand: Fcuk / Type: Body Spray / Subcategory: Polish / Suitable for: Body „
I received this bodyspray as a gift as part of a fcuk gift set. Inside was also this product, a 75ml fcuk polished bodyspray. The bottles packaging is clear without the need of any pictures nor long text. It states on the bottle that it is a warm and sensual scent that blends sparkling madarin and osmanthus flower with creamy vanilla notes. The bottle also has a pump to spray on which brings out wet liquid, this takes a few seconds to dry. I like the product, the scent is sweet and noticeable but not overly sweet and sickly. It's not one i'd use too often though as the scent is quite strong and probably not one to use constantly. It's priced at £4 for a 200ml bottle in Boots. Something that I think I would purchase again once this ones finished, as it's quite nice. I've found it's also a long lasting product that doesn't require as much spray for the smell to be noticeable, compared to other bodysprays. Due to the bottle being clear you are also able to see quite clearly how much liquid is left in the bottle.
The back of the bottle states to indulge your senses with this captivating desodorising body spray. It also states to spray it 15-20cm away from the body along with the general avoid direct contact with face, and rinse well if it gets into your eyes.
Overall I think it's a good body spray, and you can smell the vanilla scent. Even if you mainly use more subtle smelling sprays, this is one that is nice to use now and again as the smell is so nice. I'd buy the 75ml bottle as a first purchase which is around the price of £2 rather than buying the 200ml bottle for £4, this would then give you enough to base your own opinions of it and see if you like it enough to buy the bigger bottle. Though as long as you don't spray the whole bottle on yourself, I can't see you getting sick of it quickly.
I received a lovely fcuk boxed gift set for my birthday and included in this box was a shower schrunchie, body scrub, body soufflé and a fcuk polished body spray. The set looked gorgeous with the box being black in colour with a lovely gold design on. After trying the body scrub and the soufflé I ended up falling in love with the scent and now the body spray is also a firm favourite of mine.
The bottle I received was part of a miniatures collection and when buying in the shops the sizing to expect will be 200ml however mine was a smaller 75ml. The spray comes in a clear bottle that has a very subtle pink tone to it. The bottle has a grey pump action dispenser top that is able to produce enough spray without making the body to wet. A clear plastic cap is also placed over the spray dispenser and this can easily be popped on and off.
The bottle has a very simple design that looks very nice indeed, the information needed can all be seen yet I have to admit that less is definitely more in this particular design. The bottle advises that this spray has a warm and sensual scent that blends sparkling mandarin and osmanthus flower with creamy vanilla notes.
The first thing you notice about the spray is its very a special scent as it is like nothing I have ever smelled before. You can definitely smell the vanilla notes powerfully but they are not at all sickly like other based vanilla products. The scent seems sophisticated, girlie and powerful. Many of times I have worn this and been asked what it is I have on as most people are surprised that this is in fact a body spray and not a perfume.
I know most companies advise that if you use their products in conjunction with each other that you will have a more long lasting scent and in most cases I tend to disagree with companies yet on this occasion it is definitely correct. I use the body wash daily followed by the body soufflé and finally the spray and it does last a very long time before the scent starts to become more subtle.
For a 200ml bottle of this fantastic little product you can expect to pay around £4.50 however the smaller bottles of 75ml are also available for around £2.35 if you would rather test them first. Good thing about this product is that it goes a very long way so even the 75ml is going to last a good few weeks. I would definitely recommend this product.
This is a review of FCUK's Polished body spray. I bought it to give as a gift last Christmas, but never allocated it to anyone and have therefore been using it myself on and off for a year, even though it's only a smallish 75ml bottle I've got.
The bottle is a pump action spray which I prefer to an aerosol style spray as they make me choke! The plastic body of the bottle is see through but tinted so the product looks rose coloured. It's a handy size that would be ideal to pop in your handbag.
This spray came in a set with two lip glosses and a black zip purse which was what caught my eye originally.
You can buy this spray at Boots for £4.34 and it is a bigger bottle than mine at 200ml. Currently in a 3 for 2 offer as well as part of their 'indulgent bathing' category. I guess business gets a bit slow in January when we're all still working our way through the Christmas bounty. I didn't get many toiletries this year though compared to usual. Sniff.
Well the Boots Website describes it as a sophisticated fragrance, I think it's quite floral and it is quite strong for a body spray. It is reminiscent of other FCUK products so would compliment their bath range too. I think it smells fresh and the label tells me it's mandarin, osmanthus flower and creamy vanilla notes. All very pleasant anyway. It would replace the need to wear perfume as well.
I don't usually bother with body spray. Whilst my bathroom shelves and vanity unit would tell you otherwise, groaning under the weight of thousands of products I'm a simple kind of gal when it comes to fragrance. Roll on deodorant, a spritz of perfume (which one depends on my mood) and I'm away. But I could be persuaded with this body spray to change that routine!
This is a nice product. I believe the FCUK range is brewed under the Boots people anyway under licence to the brand so you can't go too far wrong with the masters of pharmacy in my opinion ~ although it makes me laugh really that they are peddling a brand for mainly vanity reasons to people who like to go 'designer' but then life would be boring if we just went down the same route every time when buying cosmetics and body care. This fragrance is certainly preferable to the smell of perspiration and adds a girly edge to you when you are wafting your way around life.
I was given a min set of the FCUK polished range for Christmas and so since using have decided to write reviews on the four products. ** Because of this some of the fragrance part will be the same in each review.
**THE PRODUCT** - FCUK Polished body spray
It can be bought alone as a fragrance current prices are £4.34 for 200mls or £2.95 for 75mls, or you could buy as part of a range.
The range includes - Body spray, body cream, body wash, sugar scrub, cleansing soufflé, eau de toilette, body butter, bath syrup or a mini pamper box set.
All of which are available from Boots stores and at Boots online.
I have the 75ml bottle. This is a small clear plastic bottle with a grey top and is a pump action spray.
A small amount of writing is written on the bottle, it's name and smell description, some directions for use plus a few warnings.
Directions - hold and spray about 15-20cms away from you - simple
Warnings - avoid direct contact with your face, should you accidentally aim it in your eyes, just thoroughly wash with clean water. However, if this does not stop the stinging or your eyes become inflamed you should seek medical advice.
Avoid contact with polished, plastic and painted surfaces, finally it is flammable so keep away from flames or fire.
It is clean and simple in design, quite modern.
**THE SPRAY AND WHAT I THINK**
The spray is a pink colour in the bottle and is described as being a "warm and sensual" scent.
The fragrance is evolved from mandarin and osmanthus flower with vanilla notes.
Osmanthus flower (according to Google) has quite a strong smell and is naturally native to Asia and parts of America depending on the sub variety. Personally I had never heard of it until now which is why I goggled it, but I do like the combination of fragrances in this spray.
You can smell the vanilla coming through quite nicely at the first sniff, but the mandarin you have to be a little more patient for. The mandarin seems to develop more as the fragrance sits on your skin a while.
I agree this is a warm and sensual smell - I love it. It may be a little strong for some as it has that woody oriental feature about it that is quite particular. It lasts for quite I long time too, I sprayed mine in the morning and by late afternoon I could still smell hints of it. This I find very goof especially as it is a body spray and not a perfume, but yet lasts longer than some perfumes I have had! Considering the price I think it is an absolute bargain.
Another thing I like about this product is that the 75ml bottle is easily thrown in a handbag, compact enough in size and plastic so it won't break if you drop it.
A great bargain that I will defiantly buy and will invest in the eau de toilette probably very soon.
Well the theme of how most my reviews come about is that I start looking on the Boots website having a mooch, when I came across and over if you spend £8 or more on FCUK products you got a free gift. Well i always tend to fall for these, (and yes I know your proberbly spend more trying to get the free gift) and its normally nothing special. However I nipped into boots and thought that the gift set really was worth it. It was in a nice presentable box and included, whipped bodycream, sugarscrub, bath syrup & this little bodyspray.
Ok so as explained the way i came around to owning this product was because I got it in a giftset. To buy the full size product currently in boots is £2.57 for a 200ml bottle, this is really quite a reasonable pric due to the fact that it is normall £4 however Boots currently have an offer were you save a 1/3rd on their FCUK range. The bottle I have was part of the free gift set and so is their mini travel range which sizes in at 75ml and prices at £1.50 with the offer, however normally is priced at £2.25.
The packaging is lovely and simple. A clear plastic bottle to allow you to see how much product you have left. A screw off lid which would allow you access to the acual liquid. (However I can see no point of actually unscrewing this unless you have plans of sharing the product with your friend for example. The application of the spray comes out of a spary pump action nozzzle, which is kept all tidy in place with its removable lid. Which lets face it, most of us loose). I just mentioned then that the bottle was clear, and I was about to say that their is a slight dusky rose pink colour to the liquid inside. However I have just realised that its the actually bottle that has this plesent color tone to it, the liquid I belive to be clear. The writing on the bottle is very minimal with the prodcut brand and name down the side reading " FCUK Polished". The sticker with all this information on is able to be peeled away, which would leave you with a nice handy size bottle to reuse.
Also on the front of the bottle reads a slight description of how they describe the scent to be. " A warm and sensual scent that blends sparkling mandarin and osmanthus flower with creamy vanilla notes." The back of the bottle says "Indulge your senses with this captivating deodorising body spray". Although it says deodorising I deffinatly wouldn't use this under my arm pit, however I would deffinatly use this after the gym (if and when I decide to finally go) as I think it is a really refreshing scent.
*** Fragance & Lasting power
Ok so as bodysprays go I never think their as good as perfumes, however I was compleatly converted by this one anyways. I opened it and sprayed it just as I was curious as to the scent and it really took me back in a good way, as I wasn't expecting it to be as nice as it was. I could deffinatly smell the vanilla, and not in a airfreshener type of way, but deffinatly in a creamy way as the bottle described. It is a very warm and sensual scent as described also, I just can't stop sniffing it when its ok, it is a gorgous smell I think. Its quite light, airy, yet distinctive and feminine. I don't know what the 'osmanthus' smells like on it's own, and I only barely have an idea of what 'madarins' smells like, however the mix of lushious ingredients really works to create a beautiful scent. The staying power is ok actually. I mean a lot of the time when i wear perfume i can't smell it yet get complimented on it by customers, so I think on ourselves we misinterup sometimes just how long lasting these scents are. I think it's something you would have to carry with you and touch up on through the day, Im gonig to say it possibly lasts around 3 hours on its own. However im sure if you use the body creams this would encourage it to last longer.
*** Will I buy the product again?
Yes, even at full price, & even in the full size bottle. However I think I will keep this travel size tub and pour the bigger tub into it as its a great little size for in your bag. I am next time going to purchase their perfume also as I love this smell so much. Really great product im glad I got, as its a lovely fragance.
Hope this helps.
I bought this body spray from Boots after having received the FCUK Polished hatbox for Christmas last year and fallen in love with the fragrance. I was really impressed with the quality of the Polished products too so didn't hesistate to pick up this body spray when I had the chance.
The spray comes in a 200ml pump bottle and is transparent so you can see exactly how much is left. The bottle is colourless but the pale amber-coloured liquid gives it a golden tint. It looks quite stylishly understated, with a dark cap and black writing in a simple, lower-case font.
According to the instructions on the back you should spray it liberally on the body from a distance of 15-20 cm, taking care to avoid conatct with the face, of course. Since it's a pump spray rather than an aerosol, the spray comes out rather wet and I find I need to leave it a mniute or two to dry before I can get dressed.
The products in this range are described as "warm and sensual" and that's exactly what this spray smells like. The scent is a blend of sparkling mandarain, osmanthus flower and creamy vanilla notes. To me its smells like candyfloss mixed with vanilla and a hint of orange. It's definitely more of a wintry scent than something you'd wear in the summer, so I'm using it every day at the moment, now that the nights are drawing in! Those who don't like very sweet smells probably won't be too keen on this, but if you like strong, sugary perfumes such as Angel then you should love FCUK Polished. Though it's strong I don't find it too heady - it's not the kind that gets stuck in the back of your throat!
The product's staying power is ok but not brilliant. I find that the scent lasts longer if the spray has come into contact with my clothes. If I apply it to my bare wrists the fragrance seems to fade very quickly compared to other body sprays I use, but if I use it on my body before dressing it lasts for most of the day. This works even better if layered with other products such as the FCUK Polished whipped body cream. I think I'm going to try the Polished EDT for my wrists.
All in all I think this is a lovely product. It smells divine, does not irritate my skin or stain my clothes in the slightest and is stylishly packaged. I've been using it almost daily for 2 months and have only got through about a tenth of the bottle, so it's really long-lasting (the use by date on the bottle is 24 months from opening). At £4 for 200ml it's really good value too.
It's a joint FCUK/Boots formulation and so can be bought from either retailer.
The aroma of this body spray is lovely; warmly sweet with notes of vanilla and flowers. It is not as sickly or sugary smelling as other vanilla scented sprays and not at all heady or overpowering as some floral scents can be. It seems very good value for money as you do not use as much in one spritz as you would with an aerosol spray and it doesn't have that chemical-y artificial smell that many aerosols do. The fragrance is very long lasting, just one spray seems to last for a number of hours and it gets stronger as your skin warms up. It is delicate enough to be worn (sparingly) during the day and can also be worn as a perfume at night. The spray itself is much more refreshing than aerosol and the small bottle is perfect to put into a handbag for a night out or for daily use.
I love this all over body spray, it has a lovely scent that makes me feel warm all over. t has a pump dispenser and you can see through the container so you know how much you have left, the only downside is that it is not cheap as I usually pay £3.99 however occasionally it is available as a buy two get one free offer and then I tend to stock up .
In part you are paying for the brand name but this is also a very good product as well so it is worth it. Once it has dried on the skin is has a wonderful scent which is slightly fruity and has this wonderful fresh warming feel to it, it reminds me of tropical flowers and how they smell in the earlly evening when the sun is setting and it is getting slightly humid.
Although expensive it is long lasting and I rarely find myself having to top myself up unless it is a very hot day and I have been on the go all the time and it has a deodorising effect so helps keep body smells at bay, on the tube have even been known to direct the odd spray at myself to also catch a smelly bloke behind me, not sure how impressed his wife would have been when she smelt it on him.
Definately a good buy and well worth the little extra especially if you can nab it while on offer.
I first got this in a little bag I purchased that contained a few Fcuk products in it. This normally costs £4.00 a bottle and the little bag I bought (clutch from Boots went with a pair of shoes I owned already only cost £10.00 so I got a bit of a bargain lol) However... it's cost me a fortune since as I love this body spray!
The bottle is clear plastic with a grey pump action dispenser and a clear safety lid goes over the top and pulls on and off. On the front of the bottle I'm told it's Fcuk, Polished Body-spray. On the bottom I'm told ' A warm and sensual scent that blends sparkling mandarin and osmanthus flower with creamy vanilla notes. On the back I'm told 'indulge your senses with this captivating deodorising body spray'. Then I'm told how to use it, warnings, ingredients, contact details for Fcuk, the size (as I've stated already, shown a symbol which lets me know the bottle is recyclable and there is a white bar-code on there to finish it off. I can see the light blush coloured liquid inside so I can see how much or how little I have left. It's just a simple bottle really!
Well at £4.00 a bottle it does seem a little steep. I mean when you think you can get sprays for as little as pound a bottle and good branded ones at that then why purchase this? Well because it isn't a common and garden body spray. It is different.
Firstly the smell. It's lovely. Now I've had a few bottles of this and I can tell you that all the bottles I have had have dispensed alot of product per spray and it is wet as it's sprayed rather than a dry mist. It dries into skin immediately leaving no stickiness or residue and is incredibly cooling and none drying to the skin. Because of how much product is dispensed it is a rather strong body spray. The ingredients really mingle well together. It's quite sweet but musky at the same time. It's one of them that sometimes you can smell the mandarin and sparkle it does other times you think it's just vanilla and other times its really musky smelling but always is it grown up and sophisticated.
This is one for ladies not girls! For me the smell is very unusual and has a very expensive air about it. I can tell the quality on my skin and up my nose. Expect a few squirts of this in the morning to still be smelling at night, it really is a long laster and makes me feel very fresh and sultry all day long.
This as well is perfect in this heat wave we seem to be having at the moment. I noticed the other day in the heat not only are a few of my perfumes going on and smelling terribly wrong and ended up in the bin (Paris Hilton is the most guilty of doing this!) but also I notice when in the sun and I have my perfume on its starting to smell odd too. So I read somewhere to stop using perfume and if you must to use some body spray instead.
Now this not being an aerosol I can carry it round with me to freshen up as and when needed or leave it sat with me in the sunshine and it doesn't explode! This stays smelling nice once on, isn't any trouble to spritz and as the sun gets hotter so does the smell and as it's a deodorising spray it is also protecting me from nasty niffs. I like to wear this on summery evenings in place of perfumes etc and I know I can trust it to behave itself!
I'm a huge fan of Fcuk products and this is one I shall continue to buy bottle after bottle of. It's none irritating on my sensitive skin and it gets me compliments! Worth £4.00 quid? Yes I think so! You don't need to use much and mine lasts me ages with regular use. This really is a treat to use.
I purchase mine in Boot's and this is highly recommended from me ladies!
FCUK polished body spray is a very warm and girly scent, It infuses creamy vanilla with sparkling mandarin and osmanthus flower. This mixture of ingredients creates a truly wonderful aroma that really does indulge your senses. The bottle also says that it is deodorising, although I haven't noticed this!
The colour of this scent is pink and the pump-spray bottle is see-through. In one generously sized bottle you get 200ml of this beautiful smelling body spray. I have purchased this body spray from Boots at a price that I didn't expect to pay at £4.00, I think It's a little bit too much to pay, but what can you do? well, probably buy a 100ml bottle for only £2.00. The Boots website claims that you can only buy it from boots.
Anyway, back to the smell of this product. This spray is probably only for people who can handle quite strong scents, as this one isn't that mild. You can definitely smell the creamy vanilla and the flowers in this, as it says on the bottle. It all smells very sweet.
I have had this bottle for a while now, and it seems to be lasting quite a good time.
Overall, this is a rather pleasant smelling product that has not been tested on animals and it smells very sweet. Don't spray this around too much if you are an asthma sufferer, or you can't take strong smells.
Thanks for reading this.
A warm and sensual scent that blends sparkling mandrin and osmanthus flower with creamy vanilla notes /
