Advantages: Nice fragrance, easy to use

Disadvantages: Leaves white marks on dark clothes

When it comes to deodorant I tend to prefer and appreciate a spray on one however the other week in my local Poundland store I saw this on offer for £1.00 and usually liking Garnier products and there not being a lot on offer in there at the time I opted to try it though this is widely available in all good supermarkets and chemists etc for around the £2.00.

The Packaging:

This comes in a white and green plastic bottle which holds 50ml of the product. On the front of it we are told that it is Garnier Mineral Ultradry 'Ultimate Protection' and that it gives 48h non stop protection and that it allows skin to breath and contains no alcohol and no parabens and of course is an antiperspirant. On the back of the bottle we are told a bit about the product, to use it within 12 months of opening it, the size is listed which is 50ml and contact details for the manufacturer are stated. All in all this is a nice enough looking bottle with nice contrasting strips of fushia coloured plastic to the screw on/off lid which is positioned to the bottom of the product and the bottle is also slightly curvy to give ease of handling.

The Product Itself:

Due to the fact this has a nice large frosted and easy moving rollerball to the bottom of it it really is very simple to use and I like the fact that the rollerball is to the bottom of the bottle so that I dont have to faff about getting the product out and to work. Fragrance wise, well its rather nice and I guess slightly floral though natural, light and quite airy and I do like the fragrance of this and once on I can smell it under my pits very gently for a couple of hours since I applied it.

The liquid comes out thinnly, none sticky and clear and it really does dry very fast indeed leaving no feeling of residue on my skin or dryness or anything adverse at all in fact I think this adds a little gentle moisturisation if anything that seems to work all day long (or night lol).

I can't comment on if this works for 48 hours and I won't lie and say I don't bath that often cos I do. I can say though that I pop this on in the morning and it works well for me till the night time when I have my bath or if really, really tired the following morning. I wouldn't describe myself as an overly sweaty/smelly person though but I have never caught a nasty whiff of myself after using this and it does seem to keep me dry, important in this really glorious weather we are experiencing this last few days in Weston Super Mare!

However there is one major setback for me with this produt sadly and this is why I don't use it very often and won't be replacing it. I wear alot of dark clothes and it does mark them with a white powdery residue. I don't know why this happens I can't see or feel a residue on my skin but its certainly there and doesn't look nice on my clothes! I tend to only use this now when I know that I'm wearing light coloured clothes and that to be fair has solved the problem that I was having with it.

I can't say it doesn't work and the results that it has given me have been great but even though the stains in my clothes do wash out I'm not happy they are there and highly visible when I'm wearing them!

Summary: Effective but the white marking puts me right off it sadly
