Impulse romantic spark
Price 97p at the moment in superdrug usual price £1.99
In my handbag I always have a body spray along with a small deodorant and other varies things. I like to smell good always. At the moment the body spray I have in my handbag is romantic spark from impulse. I'm not new to the impulse range I have had a variety of their body sprays for many years and I like to stay loyal to a good bar and that is reasonably cheap.
The price at the moment is 97p now I think that is a bargain, it beats both Poundland and the 99p store which I think is a bonus for any bargain hunter. The usual price is £1.99 but I think if you shop around you'll always find it on offer somewhere.
The can is 75ml is a white can with purple details it has a huge heart made out of purple and lilac flowers which I think looks very pretty it also has written on the front of it:
'A blend of wild violet notes and white wood scents'
Which I think let's you know the kind of smell before even having a whiff. It's a very flowery, girly smell which can be overpowering if you spray too much. you only need a small amount. A small amount goes along way and to be honest when I first sprayed it I thought this is way too much the whole town will smell me before they see me but after a while the smell faded down to a subtle scent on my clothing and I like it. Don't spray too much all at once and you'll love this flowery smell.
On the reverse of the can you have the relevant how to use and ingredients but also another quirky line which I must share with you because it made me smile and thought what a good selling point.
'Have you ever exchanged glances with a cute boy?
With impulse romantic spark, a delicate blend of
Wild violets and white wood scents, you will feel
Gorgeous and captivate others.
Spray it all over and enjoy it's captivating scent.'
I would recommend this body spray for anyone who likes flowery sweet smells. I think that impulse is a very good brand and I will continue to be a loyal customer and buy. I'm not sure if I necessarily will always buy this fragrance because I like to mix it up a bit and try new impulse body sprays.
I like the Impulse range of body sprays and buy them quite a lot. There are quite a lot of fragrances to choose from this range and I like to either buy one I like quite a lot or one I haven't bought before. This fragrance is one I hadn't bought before so thought I would give it a go.
It comes in a slim line can, which isn't too big and measures approximately 8 inches in length. It has a built in twist on and off top, it is very easy just to twist open, spray and then just simply twist back again. Meaning I don't lose the top when I have used the spray. It is simple to press down to release the spray onto the skin.
It sprays a really nice even mist onto the skin. It is a very fine mist and not at all heavy. When it lands on the skin, it dries in no time at all and doesn't feel too wet, so it means I can just give my body a very quick spray and then simply get dressed soon after spraying it onto my body. I like to spray it all over my arms, legs and chest. I like to sometimes give my chest and arms a quick spray before I pop out to the shops during the day if I am not wearing a perfume and it just freshens my body a little bit so that I smell nice even when I am just popping to my local shops.
It has a really nice fragrance to it, I can detect a Lilac scent which is quite a strong scent but not too overpowering. I can also detect a sweet perfume aroma, again not too overpowering or too strong a scent. Also a wood base one but this one is only a slight detection and the previous scents I have mentioned are the more dominant ones. I find this one is not quite as strong a fragrance compared to some of the other scents from this range and it tends to be more subtle in my opinion, but still a really nice one and strong enough fragrance.
The scent tends to linger on the skin for quite some time but with this one because it isn't such a strong scent, I do find I have to top up during the day a little more than some of the others from this range only because this scent isn't quite as strong as some of the other sprays.
It has a blend of Violet notes and Wood scents but I can only mostly detect the Violet and not very much of the Wood scents and with just a little perfume scent. The Violet is the more dominate scent in my opinion that's for sure but I don't really mind because I love the smell of Violet.
This is a nice feminine fragrance but I wouldn't class it as being too romantic lol, if you are wanting a date or going on a date during the day time I don't think it is the best of fragrances to wear compared to some of the other fragrances from Impulse.
I think this is an ideal body spray for any age group to wear and I think it is an ideal one for teenagers to take in their school or college bags to freshen up during the day or for anyone who goes to the gym and just wants to smell a little nicer until they can arrive home and take a shower or bath.
I have sensitive skin and found this spray hasn't caused any irritations or rashes on my skin and is more than a suitable spray for my kind of skin.
If you are looking for a more subtle scented body spray I think this one would be more than suitable but if you are looking for one which is quite a strong spray, this one may not be so suitable but I don't think you would be disappointed in the smell of it because it is quite a nice pleasant fragrance and a nice day time spray.
It easily fits inside a hand bag and takes up little space because of the size of it. It also weighs very little too.
I paid just a £1 for a 75ml can and I think it is very good value for this price and well worth the money and it is also very good quality too.
I do recommend this spray, nice fragrance, nice fine mist and a super price. I will buy it again in the future because I do like it even though it isn't quite as strong a fragrance as some of the others in this range.
Also appears on Ciao under my username pinky50.
I give this one 5 stars.
Thank you for reading my review and I hope it has been of some help.
I love the Impulse range of body sprays, although they are aimed mainly at younger teenagers I still regularly purchase them and I'm 19.
There are loads of different varieties and smells but they all come in the same sort of design. They come in a 75ml can which is the perfect size for storing in your bag when out and about or for keeping in your car for a quick spritz. The design is usually a floral, pretty pattern, on this particular one is a heart made up of lilac and purple flowers. The can lid is a twist type meaning you can't lose the lid which happens to me quite a lot and is easy to open and close.
The body spray is very easy to use, all you do is hold down the lid and the scent comes out in a fine mist which doesn't leave wet, sticky patches like some body sprays do.
Impulse body sprays are usually cheap, I picked this one up for 99p in bodycare but most supermarkets useually have them at low prices and often have offers and deals on them.
The description of the scent on this one is 'a blend of wild violet notes and white wood scents', I don't really get that from this fragrance. It's not overpowering but instead very under powering, I found that the scent faded after about 15 minutes and couldn't really identify and particular smells. I found it quite chemical and synthetic and was overall quite disappointed with this particular impulse product.
All in all I was disappointed with this body spray and won't be buying it again.
I used to use impulse all the time in my teenage years and then gradually stopped buying it as much and started purchasing perfumes instead. However I still find impulse sprays in my shopping basket now and again when they are on offer and I think they are a great buy.
Impulse is usually priced at £1.99 but when on offer can be found for 99p. I recently bought this one along with some others from Boots.
I tend to mainly wear perfume, but when going out for a quick shopping trip, a little visit out or just around the house.. I have started to use impulse or other body sprays to save my perfume collection from running out that little longer.
I think impulse is a great brand and suitable for all ages, but I know teenagers love buying body sprays and impulse is quite a popular brand with them.
The product itself is great, I like that it doesn't have a pop off lid as i'm always losing them about the place and forgetting to put them back on. With impulse, you just twist the plastic over the nozzle to cover and open it, which is also quicker to use.
It comes in a really nice eyecatching packaging and I always think their products are well designed so that they stand out as well as have a nice image on it. This romantic spark body spray has flowers and violets shaped in a heart on the front of the can.
It states the scent is a blend of wild violet notes and white wood scents. This is a good description of the product and you can smell the violet scent straight away. Although they are not as long lasting as perfume, they are still noticeable and distinctive, which keeps you smelling nice.
To use you just spray it all over your body, as the name body spray suggests.. and hold it 15cm away from you.
I give the product 5 stars. I quite like the scent (although it is not my favourite impulse body spray) but I would have no problems buying it again.
Thanks for reading

What is it:
Body Fragrance. I have to say, Impulse used to be purely for the teenage population, really not so anymore. As we get a little older we like to use perfumes and Au De Toilettes, naturally, but this is really good for a quick spruce up. I go to the gym during my lunch hour. Of course I have a quick shower and use my regular deodorant, but whilst I am simply sitting at my desk I am reluctant to use my expensive perfumes for the second time in a day so I use Impulse. Specifically "Romantic Spark". Why did I chose this particular one? Honestly? It was on offer at Boots AND because it has a pretty purple, flowery heart on the bottle. Girlie it may be, but it worked on me! Besides, there is nothing wrong with being a bit girlie is there.
Why do we think its aimed at the younger ladies? Well for starters, to me, it's the pre-perfume age where girls want to smell nice and turn someone's head. This is all confirmed on the bottle where it expressly says "Have you ever exchanged glances with a cute guy?" - haha que American High school mellow-drama!
How to use:
"Hold can 15cm from the body and spray". Pretty standard stuff. I go for a quick top to bottom burst once I am dressed, just makes me feel that much fresher after my work out.
The can is only 75ml so its really handy to pop I your bag and not have your shoulder broken from the weight of it. Id say go ahead and get one and it might just come in handy when you least expect it.
To quote the bottle "...a delicate blend of wild violet notes and white wood scent...". I have to say, this is a really nice scent, but it can be overpowering if you are tempted to go for more than a quick spray. Also, please remember to hold your breath when you spray, it has a lingers, heavy cloud if you are in a less than well-ventilated area. (ie the gym changing rooms!) I leant that the hard way.
Around the £1 mark so will hardly break the bank. Also they are more often than not on offer at the supermarkets.
I use this after the gym to make me feel extra fresh once I have had my shower - since my body temperature is rather higher after my work out. It just helps to energies you. A handy little thing to have.
I have way to many body sprays for my own good as I like to have plenty of choice, my shelves are literally full of fragrances. I find that body sprays are really handy to keep in your bag or if your just popping out to give you a burst of fragerance.
I've always loved impulse as a brand, they have a huge range of scents to choose from and are usually on offer in boots and superdrug. They are usually £1.99 however I was in boots earlier and they were on offer at 99p, I had to physically restrain myself from buying another one.
The aerosol can it comes in a a cute white and purple can, however the purple is more of a pastel hint as opposed to being full on bright, this shows a feminine and classy hint. The cans are long and thin and have a 'dent' in the can (dent is the only way I can think to phrase it), it is located near the top of the can which makes holding it easier when your spraying.
On the front of the can it has the brand 'impulse' in a cute font with the name of the scent just underneath 'romantic spark'. As with all the impulse body sprays there is also a heart on the front of the can, this one is in purple to match the colour scheme and made up of flowers.
On the back of the aerosol it has all the information. It tells you to hold the can 15cm away from you when spraying and all the safety information etc. it then goes on to tell you the ingredients and some contact information.
The top of the can, or the sprayer as I like to put it, is different yo many body sprays I own. There is no lid and instead there is a piece of plastic that rotates in order for you to have access to the nozzle.
The smell is quite sweet and has an almost powdery hint to it, very girly. I do like the scent however if you go overboard it can be very sickly so you have to be a bit careful about how much you use. That said if you don't use a lot I find that the scent fades very quickly and you find yourself topping up through out the day
It is very easy to spray this and the nozzle is good because it almost disperses it outward so you cover a lot of your body at one time.
I also notices that you don't get white residue like some of the cheaper brands, even when spraying on black and very close up.
Overall I do like the smell but it isn't my favourite out of the ones I have tried so probably wouldn't purchase again in a hurry.
I think £2 is a reasonable price for the body spray however the amount of deals I have seen for these means that if I needed another I would wait until they were half price or buy one get one free etc.
The look of the can is very pretty and girly and looks beautiful one the shelf in my bedroom, it looks elegant and classy and not at all cheap.
===Why I Bought This===
Personally I have never tried any Impulse sprays before this one, imagining they were more for the younger generation - that is what the marketing seems aimed at anyway.
However son's girlfriend had the most delightful fragrance on the other day, and on enquiring it turned out to be Romantic Spark Impulse - so I am now convinced about their quality.
Produced by Unilever. Impulse was launched in the UK in the early 1980s, and the adverts stated "Men can't help acting on Impulse'.

The can has a purple heart shape on the front made up of purple flowers.

'You will feel gorgeous and captivate others.'

£2 but currently only £1 at Tesco.
Well, after watching the naff adverts on TV I would not normally have touched these products with a barge pole. they seemed more for the teenage market and to me gave a cheap and tacky impression.
They are definitely aimed at the younger market and personally I had never ever thought to try one, especially as I am not a fan of pressurised spray cans.
However when I smelt this fragrance on my son's girlfriend I had to know what perfume it was. It is a lovely powdery sort of violet smell, quite reminiscent of violet sweets, but is definitely not an old woman's sort of violet perfume - it is just lovely and sweet and really attractive.
I do not feel it is too 'young' for me - just fresh and very pleasant. I have had my eyes opened now to a whole new world of fragrance that I have not thought to even test out.
Currently selling for £1 it is great value. The smell is so lovely and does last an hour or two. But at that price you would not expect great longevity and it is so cheap you can afford to just keep respraying.
The can is small and lightweight to pop in you bag and the twist top stops it being activated in your bag.
To smell this it really does have the aroma of an expensive perfume - and although it would be nice to have it last longer you cannot expect miracles.
I am sure the adverts have put many of us more 'mature' ladies off from even trying the Impulse range - so while I do not really intend to actively buy the other varieties, if any again takes my fancy such as this one has I will definitely be buying them.
It just shows that you should not jump to conclusions about products without trying them.
And no, I have not 'captivated' anyone with the scent but I enjoy it and it makes me feel good which is what perfume is all about.
The list of ingredients does look a bit worrying but the perfumes I use are not much better.
===Would I Recommend?===
Alcohol Denat, Butane, Isobutane, Propane, Parfum, Isopropyl Myristate, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Citronellol, Hexyl Cinnamal, Hydroxycitronellal ,Linalool.
This is my favourite impulse spray at the moment. I've always found impulse body sprays to have quite a over the top, sickly smell for my liking and I seem to always get bored of them about half way through the bottle and give them away. Not this one! This is my third bottle of this scent and I'm still in love with it.
The design of this can in my opinion is lovely. It was the main selling point for me and probably the biggest reason I even picked it up and gave it a test spray. It is the same as the above picture, featuring a detailed purple and lilac heart in the middle and a sort of subtle washed out lilac background. It is called romantic spark and the name certainly suits it's sweet and pretty smell. The can features a twist lid which I LOVE as it means I don't have to worry about losing the lids around the house or accidentally press down on it in my bag and have the spray go everywhere (this has happened before!).
The spray is very easy to use. The directions state to spray all over the body at a 15cm distance. The spray itself is a little wet but comes out in quite a fine mist and doesn't leave any wet marks providing that you spray from the correct distance.
I love the smell of this spray and find it to be a very soft powdery sort of scent. I'm not very good at describing smells with all the top notes and base notes and whatnot but the description on the front of the bottle reads "a blend of wild violet notes and white wood scents". I don't know about white wood scents (whatever they are!), but the violet smell is definitely noticeable, sort of like those parma violet sweets. It is a very pretty scent, quite fresh, but certainly not too musky, too zesty or too sickly.
Although I'm not usually a body spray sort of person, I really do like this scent and for that reason I think I will definitely be repurchasing. It is a bargain at just £1-£2.00 (usually you can get impulse cans on offer though) and found that this scent actually does last a good few hours before fading into a clean sort of scent. I wear this spray most days when I'm generally out and about but not anywhere special enough to waste any of my beloved bottle of D&G's The One. The can is lightweight, and with the handy lid it is perfect to chuck in your bag to generally freshen up throughout the day. It also hasn't irritated my rather sensitive skin and all in all I'm very happy with this spray.
Add a romantic spark to your night out by using this Impulse body spray, Romantic Spark. Described as a delicate blend of wild violet notes and white wood scents, you will feel gorgeous and captivate others!!
I picked up this Impulse spray and a few other scents when they were in offer in Boots a while ago. Usually these cans of body spray cost just under £2 each but Boots were selling them for just £1. I find it's really handy and useful to keep a few of these around when you want to smell nice but don't want to use up your expensive perfume. I often use this when I'm just out of the shower but only going to the shops or out to the playground etc.
I was initially attracted to this one on the shelf as it had a really pretty design on the can. It's got lots of pretty purple flowers on it shaped into a heart which I think goes well with the whole romantic theme.
I think the smell of this spray is really lovely and a bit different from other smells. It's got a lovely powdery violet smell to it and is quite sweet but not overpowering. I'm not really sure what white wood scents are meant to smell like but the whole fragrance has a nice light crispness to it.
The spray is very easy to use. I think the design of the can is a good one too as instead of having a fiddly cap that you always have to remove and risk losing there is a twist which either hides the spray nozzle or opens it up for use. Once you are finished spraying you can hide it away and then if you do touch the top of the can the spray will not come out accidentally.
A nice fragrance, it doesn't last all day but for a couple of hours it's perfect.
This scent hasn't been out all that long I would say - yes definitely months now but it is still one of the "newer" Impulse Body sprays out. I do have my favourites in the range but like to try the new scents that come out as I may like them as well. The 1 thing that tempts me is when they are on offer and since the 75ml tin can cost around the £2 mark when they are on sale for £1 I do grab quite a few tins to keep me going. My local Poundworld has a few different Impulse scents in stock just so I have about 10 in my cupboard! Anyway onto this scent.
I liked the look of the tin with the light purple colouring on it. It seemed to stand out well enough on the shelf and although I had never smelt this before I bought it I got the impression that this would perhaps be quite a light fragrance.
I am a fan of the twist lids on Impulse so I don't have to worry about the lids falling off the tins when in my bag. Not that they have ever fell off, but the spray part stays securely closed and easy enough to twist to open and spray.
The spray comes out in quite a fine mist. You can smell the scent straight away when it comes out and it is a strong scent but this settles down quick enough and the fragrance settles into a nice scent.
Reading on the tin for this I see that this has notes of Violet in it. I can't say if I have used scents which have had violet in them, no doubt I have without paying attention. I would describe the scent of this to be a light sweet scent which seems to be a sparkling scent as well. There isn't any really heavy scents through this but the Violet adds some depth to the scent whereas the sparkling scent is nice and "fizzy" smelling. I could and would compare this to Parma Violet sweets but it isn't as strong a Violet scent in my view.
I don't rank this as 1 of my all time favourite scents from Impulse but I have bought this scent on quite a few occassions since this came out. It makes a nice change and the scent lasts a good enough lenght of time as well.
One way in which I have been trying to cut my spending recently is by opting for body spray instead of using perfume on a daily basis. Body spray is useful because it is cheap to buy and you can just pop it in your handbag. I always seem to go for Impulse body sprays as I have grown up with them, and I do feel that they now do some scents which are suited for adults rather than just teens. My latest and most favourite addition to my Impulse collection is their Romantic Spark body spray.
I am not sure why I opted for this over the other scents, but I decided to try something new and different. The packaging suggested to me that it was probably suitable for the daytime, and it looked quite summery. It comes in a 75ml can which is standard for body sprays. You get a lovely purple and white pattern all over the front, with a nice heart detailing. They certainly look much nicer than more basic sprays, however I was more concerned with what was inside.
The retail price of Impulse sprays is around £1.99 which I think is quite steep for a body spray, particularly because they can run out quite quickly when used on a daily basis. I would personally never pay this price, but Impulse tend to be on offer somewhere for half price or money off, so I picked up mine for only £1.00 which I think is good. I purchased mine from Boots, however I have seen Impulse in a whole range of stores including supermarkets so it is easy to get your hands on.
The packaging is clever as you can switch the lid around which essentially puts a lock on the spray meaning it is not accessible and can not be pushed down. This is useful if you are carrying the body spray around with you in a bag, as it means that it won't spray if you accidentally knock it. To use this, you just have to twist this compartment open and spray liberally all over your body. With body spray, I tend to apply it after I have got all my clothes on, and just give my whole body a quick spray rather than focussing on particular areas like I would with perfume. It comes out at a good speed and is easy to use.
The thing that I love most about this body spray in particular is its beautiful, feminine scent. I like quite girly smells, but I can not stand when they are too sweet, and this is just to my taste. It contains a blend of wild violet notes and white wood scents which combine to create the most delicate, female scent. I am never normally overwhelmed with body sprays, as I just use them as a quick fix, however I will be going back to buy more of this because I just love the scent completely. I have turned to using this as opposed to perfume on a daily basis, and I often get compliments on it.
Now, although I know that body spray can never really be a replacement for perfume, and there is no way that I would expect the same standards from this. Unfortunately, this does not last upon skin or clothes for very long after application. I find myself constantly spraying myself through the day to maintain the scent, but it is definitely great to use as a quick fix within the day. This was expected as it is only a body spray, and I would estimate that it only lasts around an hour or two upon application.
Overall, this has to be one of my favourite offerings from Impulse, as the scent is just so lovely. I would definitely recommend for everybody to pick up one of these if they are after a light, girly scent which is not overpowering or sweet. I am pleasantly surprised with this, and I think Impulse deserve a generous four stars for this wonderful scent. One star knocked off simply because I think the retail price is a little steep for this. Thanks for reading and hope it helps.
I've always had a bit of a soft spot for Impulse body sprays. They're just great for a quick freshen up or times when you don't want to be using expensive perfume, or indeed can't afford to splash out on the expensive stuff. I currently have 5 different Impulse scents on the go and Romantic Spark is the one I'm using most often. Impulse sprays retail at around £1.99 but can often be found on offer for £1 so I tend to stock up on them then.
It comes in a small 75ml aerosol can which is a great size for carrying around with you, easily fitting into a handbag. The design is very pretty as you can see from the above photo, with a lovely floral heart design in lovely shades of purple. The top of the can is lockable by simply twisting the top to stop it from spraying in your bag.
The scent is described as a blend of wild violet notes and white wood notes. It's the violet notes that really stand out in this scent and it's absolutely beautiful. I love the smell of violets anyway, but this blend is fresh, subtle and feminine without being too girly. The white wood scents being to come through after a few minutes and just serve to add a bit of depth to the scent, rather than overpowering the violet.
It's a light scent and because it's also very fresh you can get away with spraying a lot of it without it being too strong or giving people a headache. The first time I used this spray I got into a friend's car and she immediately commented that I smelled lovely and was shocked when I said it was just an Impulse body spray. I seem to get compliments on this nearly every time I use it.
Just like most body sprays the scent doesn't last that long so I do need to keep reapplying it throughout the day to keep that lovely freshness, but with something so cheap it really doesn't matter. Although not a particularly strong scent and generally suited more to daytime wear, I find this one can actually hold it's own on a night out too.
I think it's only natural that we all want to smell nice, not only for the opposite sex but for ourselves and the people we socialise and work with on a daily basis. One of the staples for me in every day life is a good body spray - nothing too over the top but something that's going to give my skin a nice feminine scent. Over the years I have moved on from the girly sprays I used to buy in boots to the more mature range of body sprays manufactured by impulse. One of the most recent body sprays I have tried was one that I found on special offer in Asda. I'm forever seeing them add pound aisles in store and always like to have nosey to see if there's anything worthwhile there for me to buy and £1 for a body spray doesn't seem too expensive versus the £1.89 you normally see the impulse body sprays for sale at.
Impulse is one of those brand names that I recognise as having been around forever...well at least for all of my young adult and indeed older adult years, and having checked it out I wouldn't be far off the mark - impulse has been around for my entire life, introduced in 1979 here in the UK and is today the UK's number one provider of female body sprays so they must've been doing something right all these years. In 2009 Impulse underwent a revamp of their packaging which I think has made a bit more appealing to the younger generation.
Like most other body sprays, impulse has designed their body spray packaging so that it is a handy hand bag size that can be taken almost anywhere. Presented in a 75ml spray can with a twist cap that with a little turn exposes the aerosol spray that you simply turn to close again, you don't need to worry about losing the lid to your body spray.
***Impulse Romantic Spark***
It's the names that capture my attention with the impulse range, and romantic spark just makes me think romance, first date attraction kind of soppy stuff. I'm also attracted to the lovely lilac colours that decorate the main body of the spray. On the front of the can I am told that this particular impulse fragrance is a blend of wild violet notes and white wood scents.
***how to use***
The directions on the aerosol indicate that you should hold the can 15cm's away from your body and spray in short sharp bursts in a well ventilated place. How much you spray ultimately depends on you, the user....some people prefer just to spray on their torso but if you're anything like me I'm an all over body user right down to my ankles.
This particular offering from impulse with it's wild violet fragrance is quite a flirty fragrance that kind of comes and goes but is definitely the bolder fragrance. When I read that this had white wood scents in it, I imagined it having a sort of earthy tone....almost musky but I have to report that I didn't really find this musky at all, as the floral fragrance of the violet was definitely the dominant fragrance here, so overall a little too florally for my tastes.
I can smell my impulse for a good 4-5 hours after application so don't find that it lasts that long on my skin, but for a pound I'm not too disappointed. A whole can of impulse will last me a couple of weeks so I do have to buy a few at a time as they don't seem to last that long
***my overall thoughts and opinion***
I do like many of the impulse fragrances but this one unfortunately is not one of my favourites and not one I can see myself buying again. The can itself is a very well thought out design and it's easy to spray on. It is worth watching out for the £1 promotions as I think £1.89 is a little on the pricey side especially as the product doesn't last that long.
You can find impulse in pretty much any supermarket and in your local boots and super drug so it's widely available and pretty easy to find in amongst the deodorants, roll ons and body sprays.
I love to smell good and I always like to make sure that I have put on a scent before I go out. However, we all know how expensive fragrances can be - I would wear my Ghost fragrance the whole time if I could, but because it costs around £30 a week, if I wore it every day, a bottle probably would not last me for more than a week. And so sometimes, we just have to go for the cheaper options.
I have been buying Impulse 'sprays' since I was a teenager. They have a huge range of different scents, although I tend to keep coming back to the same one: Impulse Romantic Spark.
Impulse Romantic Spark comes in a can. Each can holds 75ml of spray. The bottle is very attractive and has a purple theme going on. It really stands out, along with the other Impulse products.
The spray has a floral kind of scent to it. The description on the can says that it is: A blend of wild violet notes and white wood scents, however that doesn't really mean anything to me because I would know what 'wild violet' and 'white wood scents' were anyway. However, I do know that it is very clean and fresh and makes me feel really girlie and feminine. I like wearing this scent and the amount of people that have complimented me on my 'lovely perfume'.
Even though I like wearing this perfume, it doesn't give me that 'man I feel confident' feeling that I get when I wear my more expensive fragrances. However, it is perfect for day time and isn't overpowering. It is quite sweet, although it is not 'in your face' kind of sweet.
The aim of this product is to make you irresistible to guys. From reading the description on the can, it gives me the impression that if you wear this perfume then you are really going to pull. Not sure how true this is! Haha!
When I first put the scent on, it smells quite strongly, however it fades after an hour or so, and so I tend to keep on reapplying it throughout the day.
One thing that annoys me about the can, is that they don't last very long. I can easily get through a can in a few days even though I don't really use that much.
When I was younger, I used to think that this was a spray for teenagers, however, I know lots of older (in their 30's and 40's etc) who also use this spray and so I would therefore say that this spray is suitable for all ages.
This spray is available in lots of places; supermarkets, Boots, Superdrug etc. Your local corner shop may even sell it.
I like the size of the can because it means that it will easily fit inside your bag, which means that it is easy to carry round. One good thing about the can is the fact that you have to twist the top of it around before you can push the top to let some spray out, which is good because 1) it stops you from accidentally spraying it in your bag (if your have something in your bag that is pushing the button down) and 2) it is also good for safety, for example if a small child got hold of it.
This scent along with other Impulse products are always on offer. They usually tend to cost around the £2 mark which I do think is very expensive. However, when they are on offer, you can get them for around a £1 or as part of a buy one get free offer. I usually only buy them when they are on offer, and usually stock up on them. I would suggest looking out for offers before paying full price.
If you like pretty scents which make you feel girlie, I would definitely recommend this perfume!
Thanks for reading!

I always keep a body spray in my bag, along with a deodorant because you never know when you need it. I love being able to freshen myself when I'm out without worrying about breaking a perfume bottle (especially as they are so expensive).
I normally try out all of the body spray's in the section to see which I prefer and I have literally tried them all. This one is by far my favourite from the many as it smells so good and its really gentle on the skin.
The bottle itself is quite small, but not too small (around 8cm) which means it fits perfectly into your bag without taking up too much space. It seems to last a long time as well (75ml) which means you can keep it for weeks! As you can see from the picture the bottle is lilac with a heart made of flowers on the front, very girly and easy to spot on the shelves.
My favourite thing about the impulse sprays is that unlike others, you can twist the top so that it can't be sprayed by accident. There is no lid either.
Obviously on the back is all of the ingredients, cautions, etc. But I am not going to go into all of that.
The fragrance is quite strong without being over powering. It is quite sweet and feminine, complimenting you well. I would say that it is more suited to younger generations, but it would still appeal to an older lady.
I personally prefer this over fragrances such as 'Charlie' and other well known brands you can buy.
You can pick this up at most supermarkets and drug stores, you will just have to scout about a bit to see where it is in stock. Very available which is a big bonus.
For a body spray, I think more than £3 is too much, making this perfect price at £1.99. Even better that it lasts as long as perfumes do for a fraction of the price.
This body spray is perfect for carrying around to freshen up throughout the day. It smells amazing and looks appealing too. MUST HAVE FOR YOUR HANDBAG.
