Impulse Romantic Spark Body Spray
Advantages: Handy to keep in your bag
Disadvantages: Doesn't last, bad for the air
I got the Romantic Spark body spray by Impulse, as part of my freshers pack when starting uni last year. Body sprays arn't the thing I would usually buy as I tend to stick to actual perfumes for fragrance. As it was free I can't complain as such, however after trying it a few times I wasn't particularly impressed with it's staying power.
It should be said that however, the smell it does give off when you spray it is fairly nice as it is quite floral but has a musky undertone to it, which is quite pleasing on the senses. The scent is also quite reminscent of the packaging, which is quite a feminine design of white/lilac with flowers. I would imagine this would look good on any cosmetics shelf as it certainly looks the part.
However my downfall with this, and perhaps it's just down to personal preference here, but I don't like the Aerosol aroma you get with body sprays, this one in particular. To me it just gives a bad after smell, when originally thinking it's not so bad.
Although, it is quite light and ideal for popping in your bag, particularly in the day time and also comes in a range of sizes which is quite handy. Of course it does have the added advantage that it is alot easier to transport than some perfumes which are usually in a heavier glass container, and also it is much cheaper to buy and re purchase as opposed to actual perfumes.
That said, I do find this product quite dissatisfying overall because apart from initially smelling pleasant, the smell barely lasts five minutes on my skin/clothes which to me seems a little pointless! I'd personally rather spend more on a perfume which lasts longer and doesn't come out of a can. To me, thats just not how fragrance should be applied! I am also not a fan of choking on a fragrance either, so again I'd prefer to spray from a bottle not an aerosol can!
Overall, if you like body sprays and are a fan of the impulse range I would reccomend this product as to be fair it is a nice smell for the time at which it lasts, which isn't that long but if its just a quick spritze your after then this should do the trick.
Summary: It's floral and okay if you like body sprays, if not I'd avoid it
