Every now and again I like to treat myself to a new Impulse Body spray. I say treat but its not too much of a stretch as these cans of spray are only a pound or two and when they are promotion in Boots they only cost £1 for a 75ml spray which is great value. Impulse body sprays take me back to my youth as these are what I wore when I was younger and thought I was the height of sophistication! Nowadays I tend to wear perfume if I am getting dressed up and want to smell nice but these body sprays definitely serve a purpose too. They are great to wear when you want a bit of fragrance but don't want to waste your highly priced perfumes, for example I like to wear my Impulse on the school run in the morning or when I work out as I still want to smell nice but don't want to over do it. I always like to try different flavours or smells now and again and this one, Very Pink, really appealed to me because it includes, "A sparkling blend of pink grapefruit with a sweet base of vanilla scents that will inspire the most romantic gestures." I always try them out in Boots first so that aisle must always smell really pretty after I have been there but its a good way of testing what you like. This fragrance hits immediately with the sweet, tangy smell of grapefruit and I definitely feel like this is the most dominant flavour in this spray although you can smell the vanilla, it just gives the smell a bit more of a subtle fragrance and calms the grapefruit down a bit so the spray is not overly fruity and sickly. As with all Impulse body spray the smell comes out like an aerosol so you do get that sort of musk scent that you do with an aerosol body spray rather than the more cleaner fragrance that you get with a perfume. Sometimes the scent can get trapped in your lungs a little bit when you first spray it but after that you just get a nice all over body scent that lasts quite a while throughout the day. What I like about this can is that at the top there is a little bit that swivels around to reveal the spray nozzle so you can shut this can off and it won't spray accidentally if you spray it in your bag or when you are carrying it, etc. As I don't wear the fragrance everyday this can will last me a couple of weeks which I think is excellent for a lovely smelling Impulse spray.
I like having a variety of Bodysprays and when I saw this in Superdrug for 99p it sounded reasonable so I decided to buy it in one of my random shops picking up things when all I went in for only a flannel! It comes in a canister which is matte black with a nice elegant pink design which is merely described as "very pink" on the front but there is more detail on the reverse highlighting that it is a sparkling blend of pink grapefruit with a sweet base of vanilla scents that will inspire romantic gestures. Hmm we shall see! It comes in a modest 75ml canister so it nicely fits in my handbag although to be honest it stays on my chest of draw! The nozzle is a bit dodgy as it has a plastic base which when twisted reveals the hole through which to spray the fragrance out of. This is not particularly child safe as I am sure my 3 year old could master it so to err on the side of caution I keep it out of her reach. As for the scent of the fragrance I have to say the grapefruit is distinctly noticeable. Oddly enough I am not a fan of eating the fruit, drinking a fruit juice drink or anything associated with grapefruit but I do quite like this scent! The base notes of vanilla do take a while to kick in but it leaves a lovely lingering smell all over and this body fragrance has really good staying power. As for the romance aspect I am not so sure of the hypnotising powers it claims to have as it really is not that sensual but for me a harsh, zesty fragrance which is quite mature yet fresh. It is not a scent I would associate with someone young in their teens which is what came to mind before when I thought of impulse. Overall I really like this scent and it is worth the 99p. A quick spray all over gives good coverage and lasts all day and leaves me feeling fruity and powerful at the same time. I would recommend it, even to those who don't like grapefruit as it is surprisingly that nice!
Impulse Very Pink Body Fragrance I received this as part of a gift set at Christmas, and having been looking for ways to stop 'treating' myself to £50 bottles of perfumes thought I would give this a whirl... I have no idea how much the gift set was bought for however I have seen this product on sale for £1.99 in Superdrug for a 75ml bottle. The impulse can looks very different from how I remember them from my youth, being a little more grown up in a sleek looking black can. The lid has a safety feature to stop it going off in your bag, the top no longer comes off, it just twists to allow it to be depressed. The scent is 'fruitilicious' (their word not mine) and is made with hints of grapefruit, and vanilla - which will apparently inspire romantic gestures... Well I can't comment for the romance, but it does smell good. It probably lasts about two hours on my skin, and a little longer on clothes. I wouldn't have named grapefruit, but I can pick out a hint of something fresh and citrus to the scent... I highly recommend it, to younger people, and those who like me are trying to save the cash of expensive perfumes. Although it will never replace perfumes to me, it has worked to make me scale back my excessive 10 squirts a day.
I recently bought a can of this Impulse 'Very Pink' body spray from a local chemist chain. I have to be honest and say that I usually opt for the cheapest spray on offer but this time I opted for Impulse because I liked the look of the can. The body fragrance stands out on the shelf because the can is coloured black and there is a heart picture in sexy neon pink and red lights on the front. The overall impression I immediately took from seeing the packaging design was that this body spray is very feminine but is a fragrance that can be quite sensual, sexy and sophisticated. Impulse call this a "body fragrance" and it is meant to freshen you and provide you with a pleasant scent but it has no anti-perspirant qualities to it. The brand describe the fragrance mix as being fruity with a "blend of pink grapefruit" and a "sweet base of vanilla". They hint that this fragrane will definitely appeal to your man! The product comes as a 75ml aerosol can. It is a lightweight thing which I can fit easily into my handbag. The top is very well designed and has a large base button which could never be detached by accident. There is also a plastic cape around the nozzle which you can twist around to conceal or reveal the dispensing nozzle. There is a handy indent in the bottle near the top which allows for an easier grip. The bottle is printed with lots of information including directions for use, warnings and contact information. There are a lot of warnings, actually including a large "extremely flammable" notice so perhaps you need to be extra careful with this. The blurb on the can also tells me that the spray is dermatologically tested and is made to be kind and gentle on the skin. The spray action is quite forceful and a lot of product comes out in a sharp, powerful blast of mist. I find it necessary to hold the can further away from myself than I think would be necessary or else I feel like I am spraying myself with ice-cold fire. This is particularly important if using this near sensitive skin areas. Even though this product is meant to be gentle to skin I find myself stinging a little especially in areas like armpits and chest. The fragrance of the product doesn't dissapoint. It's much more powerful than the cheaper spray alternatives I'm used to using. Infact when you first spray this it's like jumping into a cloud of sweet smells. It's not so strong that you choke on the scent though! The fragrance seems to have many different components to it and feels complicated and interesting. There is a definite citrus fruit flavour to the mix but to my nose it smells more like sun kissed tangerines than pink grapefruit. There is a deeper, more complex note of sweet smokey vanilla which is lovely. This subtle sweetness seems to warm up on the skin and assume a mature, intelligent identity. Combined these elements smell like a blended fruity cocktail in a sugar rimmed glass or like winter puddings. There is certainly a sense of romance to the fragrance and I have been told I smell lovely by others after applying it, so that pleases me! I would describe the fragrance as being suitable for all ages but it definitely could be suitable for the more mature lady too as it is such a refined and complex fragrance. I also find it long lasting and it is fine for just dusting over your clothes if you like to freshen up that way. My only problems with the body fragrance is that the spray comes out a little too harshly and can cause a brief stinging sensation on sensitive parts of the body. I also dislike the name of the fragrance - 'Very Pink' sounds pretty bland to me and it doesn't desribe how rich and amazing the fragrance really is. This cost me £1.99 and I would say this is a fair price to pay.
Growing up throughout my teenager years I got through absolutely shed loads of Impulse body sprays, and recently I have just got back in to them. Impulse have recently really upped their game by bringing out a variety of new, unique scents which I had to stop and have a sniff at. One which stood out to me particularly was their Very Pink scent, therefore I thought I would snap it up as it was only £1.99 from my local Superdrug, and this is a fairly reasonable price I feel. You get a standard size 75ml worth of body spray within this, and I was therefore hoping that this would last me a good few weeks. The bottle is as shown in the image, and is quite girly and fun, which I feel is a big improvement in comparison to some of Impulse's older designs. To spray out the product, you simply have to twist the cap around to open up the spray hole and then press down firmly to release the body spray. The cap is a handy little tool as when it is locked it means that body spray can not get out unnecessarily, and therefore results in no product waste. Essentially, apart from the price, the scent of the body spray was the most important thing for me, as this is usually the reason why you purchase body sprays as you want to smell divine! Impulse's Very Pink body spray is a "sparkling blend of pink grapefruit with a sweet base of vanilla scents that will inspire the most romantic gestures." I must admit that grapefruit would not normally be a scent which I would be attracted to, but the scent of this is very girly and sweet, as well as having a fruity kick to it. I feel that it is perfect for the summer months, particularly during the day time. I would recommend this to those who love particularly fruity scents which are sweet, yet not too overpowering. If you are more a fan of musky, subtle scents this is definitely not for you! Overall though I was extremely impressed with its lovely scent, and I feel like it has a much more distinctive scent compared to older Impulse body sprays which I was glad to see. I must admit that although the scent is noticeable, I do spray a generous amount as I am aware that it is not as strong as perfume. It does stick on to clothes and skin and the scent is noticeable as I can smell it myself when I am wearing it, and other people have also commented on it and complimented it. I am happy about this as it means I am not constantly having to wear perfume as this can often end up costing me a fortune, therefore if I am just going shopping or having a typical day I will opt for this body spray instead. One downside to this unfortunately is its staying power. I was not expecting hours and hours of gorgeous scent as it is only a body spray, however it does only last around an hour, and that is if you're lucky, therefore I keep this in my handbag to top up frequently throughout the day and leaving me smelling lush! Overall, a lovely body spray which leaves you smelling divine, however the staying power does let it down quite a lot, but for £1.99 I feel that Impulse have really upped their game, and I am loving the Very Pink scent. Recommended. Thanks for reading.
Impulse is my favourite body spray brand as it is one that i always use i have been using it for several years now and would not change. They have a variety of different fragrances which is good as I like to change the one I have every so often. The Very Pink fragrance is nice and summery and is the one I am currently using at the moment The can in which the impulse comes in is very good as I always like to carry one with me so I can freshen up when I am out and about the 75ml one lasts me around 3weeks, this can be bit more expensive when it comes to summer as the cost of the impulse is £1.99 . I find that this product is best to get on offer as from places such as Superdrug it only costs 95p this is when I tend to stock up. One downside is that I find that the sent doesn't last that long when sprayed this is something that I think could be improved on but overall it is a very good product and I would recommend that people try it.
I'm not usually a fan of Impulse as I usually buy other brands, however when I popped in to my local Tesco store the other afternoon with my Mum and Dad doing their weekly shop I spotted this for a pound and my Mum bought it for me as a treat. The spray~ Comes in a black spray can with a pink lid it tells me that it is 'New impulse very very pink' on the can it is a special edition body fragrance with a picture of a heart at in the middle of the can. The top has a swister cap on it for you to use the spray. The can holds 75 ml. The can can be recycled as it's aluminium. The spray has tones of citrus grapefruit oranges and lemons and a hint of floral notes too. When first applying it, it is really strong and I find it blows your brains out lol! However after about 5 minutes it calms down slightly. Me using it~ I sweat alot in the summer and tend to use deoderant as well as body spray to keep myself feeling nice and fresh. This body spray does just the job I feel lovely and fresh for ages after spraying, after having a shower and just before I go to bed. I try not to use perfume on hot days as it smells rather awful especially when sweating. What I love about this is the girly feel and smell this product has. I would say it's suitable for all ages, not just young people. I will definately be perchasing it again. Availible at all good supermarkets and Chemists for around £1.00
My body spray had finished yesterday, so in Superdrug, I noticed Impulse was on discount (only 95p) and as Impulse is a brand that I've been using for years, and there were many types I hadn't tried, so thought I would try some new types, and stock up on Impulse! The body spray is very appealing, as it is a black can, which looks completely different from ever other product on the shelf, but also with the writing being in pink, it looks sexy and defiantly for the nights out. On the can there is a pink/red heart, along with simple details of the product. The can has a twist top, which you twist, which unlocks the can and then use, which I like, as in the past, I've accidentally sprayed a body spray in my bag, and then everything stunk. The product is in a 75ml can. Using the product is really easy, just twist the lock system, which is difficult to use for the first time, but is really easy, and it really does work effectively, as there was no accidental sprays, which really was my favourite thing of the can! To spray the product, you just press down the top, which was really easy, and spray the can where you want. I noticed that spraying from about 30cm is pretty effective, but for a more intense smell, closer is the best. I personally like it from 30cm, as it gives an all round scent, which isn't to intense, which is really nice. The scent of the body spray was clearly identifiable, it smelt of pink grapefruit, which I hate eating, but the scent was gorgeous! It was sweet, but had a hint of a sharper fruity smell, which was really nice and was quite different for other body sprays, as usually they are quite sickly sweets, but this was a much more refreshing smell. The undertones of vanilla was really sweet, but not as obvious in fresh form, but after the grapefruit scent fades the vanilla is still obvious. The scent lasts all day, but when I went out, a quick spray made it completely suitable for going out. I would defiantly recommend Impulse Very Pink body spray as it really is a unique smell, which makes it very different from other body sprays, but also makes it completely wearable from day to day but also night, gives it a sexier more sophisticated smell from other types of body spray. Also the scent lasts throughout the day, although does fade quicker in hot weather, but still has so much staying power. Impulse Very Pink Body Spray is available at most big supermarkets and pharmacists. I got mine at Superdrug and only cost me 95p, but usually costs £1-£1.99.
I'm a big fan of body sprays and I think that they are absolutely great for the summer months, when your a little more relaxed, and tend use less high maintenance products. Impulse is a great brand, and all of their products are great value, the bottle lasts quite a long time, and they smell absolutely great! This Very Pink is an especially summery fragrance, its quite fruity and fresh and the smell just puts you in a summery mood! The smell of the fragrance is really nice, however it doesn't last for very long, mine lasts around half a day, and I usually top up on it at lunch time. This isn't too inconvenient however, because the bottle isn't too big, and its very light, so I have no problem fitting it in my handbag or carrying it around all day. I wouldn't recommend any body spray over perfume for a night out or an occasion, but I do love it for more relaxed days out or at home.
I don't think that this scent has been out all that long in the Impulse range, or if it is then I certainly haven't noticed it. I can tend to buy the same scents from Impulse as there is ones that I like a lot and would consider them to be my favourite kind of scents, but I still like to keep trying the new ones that come out - especially when they are on offer. I picked this up in Superdrug. The range was on a 2 for £2 offer so I got 1 of these and picked up 1 of my favourites. The right price of this range is normally around £1.80. The tin looks like the picture as usual. Not the usual pretty pastel coloured tin as you can see it is a dark coloured tin. The name doesn't give anything away - what kind of scent is Very Pink? I would have probably thought that this would be quite a heavy floral kind of scent so perhaps lots of Pink Florals, but I was wrong with that assumption. The scent in here is Grapefruit and Vanilla. Perhaps a bit of an odd mix, but it goes together well. The Citrus of the Grapefruit is fresh and tangy and the Vanilla is Sweet and a bit Musky. When I first sprayed this I wasn't all that sure of it. It was nice enough certainly, but it just seemed a bit strange smelling. However after just a couple of minutes of this on then I had made my mind up that this is a nice scent. The scent seems to last a good lenght of time and it is a nice and refreshing scent. I could and would buy this again. It isn't my favourite scent out there, but it is nice and I would recommend you to try it as it a nice smell.
When it comes to body fragrances they are something that I love and buy ever so often. I like them for warm/hot days instead of perfume and for all over freshness before bed or just out of the shower and that and one of my all time favourite brands is Impulse. I spotted this New fragrance in Asda the other day priced at a pound a can instead of its usual price of closer to £1.89 (in all good supermarkets and chemists) and decided that as it was called 'Very Pink' I simply had to give it a go! The Packaging: The can this comes in holds 75ml of the spray and is black in colour with pink writing on it and a heart on the front in all different shades of pink and purples. We are told on the front of it that it is New Impulse Very Pink Body Fragrance and then on the back of the can other information listed includes being told a bit about the product and directions for use are given as are some warnings, the size is stated and contact details for unilever (the manufacturer of the product) are clearly given. Nice, stylish looking can this is and very in keeping with the rest of the Impulse brand and I do like the twist to use safety lid to the top of it too! The Body Fragrance Itself: Well the body fragrance itself sprays out damp but drys almost instantly on the skin. It has an aroma of pink grapefruit to it the most in my opinion and we are told on the can that it also has a vanilla fragrance all I know is that I detect the grapefruit smell the most with just a hint of warm vanilla well blended into it if you sniff it really hard. Fragrance wise once sprayed on the skin I can smell it gently on my skin for around an hour or so, so longevity, in my opinion this doesn't have..... though it is pleasant enough in the fragrance stakes I guess. However although I think this is a fresh, clean fragrance I have to admit to being on the fence with this one. With a girly name of 'Very Pink' I did think it was going to be rather girly but really it isn't so, its just a well blended slightly fruity fragrance that I don't think is anything all that special at all and the can is not in keeping either with the scent inside of it! Its simply ok but I wouldn't bother personally purchasing this in the future!
I bought this latest body spray by Impulse from my local Superdrug. I must admit it was the black and pink can that caught my eye and when I spotted the name, Very Pink I knew I had to try it. I paid £1.99 for a 75ml can which is pretty standard for body spray. Very Pink comes in a mainly black spray can with pink writing on it. Its in the new design which doesn't have a separate lid. There is just a little plastic ring at the top that you twist to uncover the spray nozzle. This is much better than a separate lid if you always have a body spray rattling round the bottom of your handbag or gym bag, there's nothing to lose and your spray is always protected. The front of the can has the Impulse logo written on it in pale pink handwriting. Below this the customer is informed that it is indeed Very Pink they are buying, this is written in both bright and pale pink lettering. Under this is a heart shape made from what looks like pink lights. The ingredients are on the back of the can along with a brief description of the fragrance. The can is flammable so there is also a little caution symbol on there too. Very Pink is described as making you feel "fruitiliscious", it contains a blend of sparkling grapefruit and sweet vanilla scents. It is designed to inspire the "most romantic gestures!" I've never thought the smell of grapefruit particularly romantic but you never know. When I sprayed Very Pink the grapefruit fragrance was immediately evident, sharp, fresh and fruity. Of course no one wants to smell just like a grapefruit and almost immediately the sweet vanilla kicked in. After about 15 minuets the body spray has settled to a sweet vanilla fragrance with a bit of a fruity kick that just takes the sweet edge of it. Its quite a strong smelling bodyspray but not too overpowering. I would totally disagree that it is a romantic smell, I personally find it an ideal one to keep in my gym bag, its more fresh than romantic. I would definitely recommend Impulse Very Pink body spray, its rapidly becoming one of my favourites. Impulse has been dermatologicaly tested. My skin tends to be sensitive and I have no problems with this one.
I'm a big fan of body sprays as they are handy to have in your handbag, Impulse are a very well known brand of body spray and I was lucky enough to be given the Very Pink Body Fragrance for christmas. The spray comes in a 75ml aerosol, the look of the actual aerosol is very pretty and girly. The words "Impulse Very Pink" are written in fancy pink lettering on the front on top of a black background and underneath that is a pink love heart. On the back is the usual information and you are told that Very Pink is a "sparkling blend of pink grapefruit with a sweet base of vanilla scents that will inspire the most romantic gestures" - ha, we shall see! Underneath this description are instructions on how to use it (hold can 15cm from body and spray) as well as a caution note that says to avoid prolonged spraying, avoid direct inhalation etc etc. Then you have the usual hoo ha about it being extremely flammable. The ingredients incase you are interested are: Alcohol Denat, Butane, Isobutane, Propane, Parfum, Isopropyl Myristate, Citral, Coumarin, Geraniol, Hexyl Cinnamal, Limonene and Linalool. Phew! I don't know what most of them are but there you go! The spray is very easy to use, you simply twist the top so the spray hole is visible and then press down. I think you get the idea. Now, on to the fragrance itself, the most important bit I think you'll agree! The fragrance of this is unbelievably girly with the smell of pink grapefruit very evident, you can just smell hints of vanilla coming through. I find this to be a very fresh smelling scent and not musky or harsh in any way, to me it also smells very flowery yet grown up. The fragrance is equally suited to daytime or evenings and the smell is strong enough without being overpowering. Of course the fragrance isn't concentrated enough to be like a perfume, when first sprayed the smell is quite strong and then it slowly blends away until just a slight aroma is left on your clothes, though it is still there and doesn't vanish completely like some body sprays. The Impulse range usually costs around £1.99 for a 75ml aerosol and are available from most stores such as Superdrug and Tesco. Sometimes they are on offer so look around. Out of all the fragrances I have tried by Impulse this is one of my favourites as I find the smell to be very pretty and feminine without attacking your nostrils. I will definately be looking out for it and I would recommend it to everyone from teenagers to grandmas alike. A very fresh and floral scent with just the right amount of grapefruit, a fragrance that will suit all age ranges.
I am a very big fan of Impulse to be honest, they are so handy to just keep in your handbag and have a little spray now and again, although I find that they don't last on your clothes very long, but spray it on your scarf and it will last ages-yum! I got this as a Christmas present from my Dad with a Barry M lip gloss which was great, the perfect combination for a girly girl like me! This comes in 75ml aerosol and as you can see from the image above the can is very pretty and minimalistic. The smell really is special, pink grapefruit with a hint of Vanilla, seriously makes you good enough to eat. This is such a cheap alternative to perfume, yet it smells just as good. You can usually get Impulse for around £1.00 from the Supermarkets, Boots and Superdrug. I think you can buy this apart from the set but if not it is worth paying for the set because the smell is wonderful. The only down side is that it can be a little sickly after a while which is annoying. I would recommend this to those who like fruity fragrances not those who prefer something stronger and more obvious. Maybe the younger audience would be more suited to this. I know this because whenever I spray it, My Mum screws up her nose! Happy Reading, Holly :)
Though having been a fan of perfumes for many years and leaving body sprays behind me some time ago, someone was spraying on of their range around a few months back and that reminded me that they were actually quite nice and incredibly cheap so I went and got a few of the fragrances from Superdrug. I currently have the Paris one, Tease and Goddess but noticed that there was a promotional stand with a new Impulse variant in November. The packaging is traditional Impulse, cylindrical tube with clever twist top which means there is no need for a lid or cap but you don't accidentally spray it in your handbag or whatnot. The tube is black with the words Impulse and the name Very Pink written in swirly writing in varying shades of pink. In the centre, a blurry shaped heart made of pinks, reds and oranges blurry circles draws the eye's attention. It makes for quite a striking tube. The main notes are pink grapefruit and vanilla. As the name might suggest, it smells extremely soft and feminine and in fact, quite calming and relaxing. Were I to find it in a more expensive proper perfume bottle I would not be surprised. Given that it is a body spray rather than eau de toilette or parfum, it is not as strong so does not remain on the skin as long. However, given that the price of a can is about £1.70 and that Impulse often do buy one get one free promotions or reduce the price to £1 it is a steal. It might not be as fancy as proper perfume, but it is a lovely soft smell that is good even if you use it for just lying around the house... Great buy.
