      GET THE LYNX EFFECT

I've loved this Lynx fragrance and have been a fan of Lynx for a very long time, but I've got to say, I've been blown away by the new SHARP FOCUS LYNX fragrance out now. This is the best deodorant by far as it smells great and keeps you dry and focused, essentials for a night out on the pull. I think we could all use a little help from the LYNX effect! I've been handing out free samples all over my university campus and they have been spreading like wildfire, all the guys (and even some girlfriends!) just can't get enough!!!! If you haven't heard of this new fragrance, then make sure you look out for it when it hits the shops, all the guys I've given out samples to have said that it's the best deodorant they've ever tried and can't wait to buy new SHARP FOCUS LYNX!!!!!

Lynx have a new anti-perspirant called 'sharp focus' . I got hold of some the other day and so far I have been impressed, it is similar to other anti-perspirants in the lynx range but it has proved to be my favourite compared to the other sprays I have been using recently.

I was very impressed with the new Lynx Sharp Focus. I bought it for my boyfriend the other day and not only does it keep him dry (he sweats a lot!!), it smells fantastic too. Certainly does the job. I would recommend the new product by Lynx to any of the readers here!

      Disadvantages

Imagine my sheer horror and panic when I went to grab my favourite Ben Sherman body spray at Tesco last week to find the space usually reserved for it was empty. After an interminable time in which I threw a paddy, sat on the floor crying and chased a young store assistant it was discovered that there was no stocks of the body spray “out back” and that it could be several days before any arrived. Well, I felt like the little boy that Santa Claus forgot!

A panicky discussion with my therapist soon calmed me down sufficiently for me to peruse the deodorant shelves in the hope of finding an acceptable alternative to tide me over and keep me smelling sweet until I could get back to my first choice. As I stood there I decided that choosing another body spray would feel like cheating on a woman, sure Ben Sherman would never know but it just didn’t feel right to me. So, I decided on one of those new fangled deodorant stick thingies, and with the Lynx version on a special two for £3 offer that is the one I went for.

The Lynx dry touch anti-perspirant stick is fairly unremarkable to look at. The casing is fashioned from finest black plastic with a grey lid. At the base of the product is a twist mechanism which allows the deodorant to slide up and down within its plastic shaft. I have found that a firm grip on the shaft is always best while using the other hand to twist and tug at the base, a little of this action will soon have the white deodorant stick standing erect and ready to use. The Ingredients are all complex in name with far too many Z`s and Y`s used, a couple that I did recognise however are talc and castor oil. Castor Oil? The mind boggles! Finally, the whole product weighs in at 50ml compared to the 150ml of my body spray, although there is less wastage when applying the stick.

Now, I’m a chef who works in a hot kitchen and likes to work up a good sweat so smelling good is vital to me. I sometimes take two showers a day just to sloosh away any accumulated grime with a good and thorough lathering using a proprietary shower gel. At this point I’d usually spray my upper torso with body spray but instead I twist so that about two inches of the white deodorant stick stands proud from the case. Running my fingers across the stick reveals that it is of a similar texture and consistency to a bar of soap, applying it is easy with firm strokes up and down my armpit area, no discomfort is detected and my armpit area feels dry within moments of application. The smell is refreshing without being overpowering, a sort of citrus tinge with a deeper musky undercurrent. The closest thing I can compare it to is a sort of honeydew melon scent with a waft of perfume.

So, eight hours in a hot kitchen later it’s time for me to change back into civilian clothes and I can’t resist a good long sniff of my armpits, and it’s not half bad. The initial zesty smell has dissipated but a faint musky perfume smell is still present and most importantly there is not a trace of the dreaded BO, my armpits also feel dry which is no mean feat after working in a kitchen for a prolonged time.

It looks like Tesco not having my usual brand of deodorant in stock has not been nearly as big a disaster as I first feared, I am still on the first deodorant stick after two weeks of frequent use and It still does the job of keeping me smelling fresh admirably whatever I throw at it. As with all underarm products this should not be applied to broken or sore skin and should be kept well clear of those “ahem” delicate areas. I am going to continue to use the Lynx dry stick in conjunction with my usual body spray and award it four stars out of five.

Well, it was a saturday morning and i was in tescos, i saw this special offer 3 for 2 on lynx porducts. So i brought myself 3 shower gels all different type. I got home late and thought SH@t im going out tonight with some mates not ready might aswell have a quick shower. As i was haveing a shower some how i managed to squirt the shower gel in my eye and yes OUCH indeed. So i was blind for couple of minutes rinsing my eyes out with the shower head. (just a hint cant lynx make there shower gel friendly to the eyes like that Johnson no tears i think its called). As i was in the shower i decided to wash my hair with the shower gel which i never do but what the hay i was in a rush. I got out of the shower dried my hair which left it all frizzy tangled and more or less looking like crap. Finally i got changed met up with my mates went to couple of bars and then to a club, i must admit when i got home a stank all over. Plus i sprayed some lynx deodorant when i got out of the shower so i take it neith worked. This might be a short review and not really about the product but i had that on my chest for years so now i finally feel light chested lol thanks.lol

br> One of the most popular ranges of toiletries for men would have to be the 'Lynx' range of shower gels and deodorants - not least because it is also probably a brand that everyone is now familiar with, as Lynx products are advertised regularly on TV. 'Lynx' products have been available for some time now, and come in the familiar black bottle, with a knobbly surface on each side of the shower gel bottle, to make it easier to grip. On the front of each bottle of Lynx shower gel or deodorant has a coloured symbol on it, e.g. a yellow sphere with rings around it for the Dimension varieties, or a green circular pattern for the Pulse variety. They also come in a range of scents or varieties, and these include: - Dimension - Pulse - Phoenix - Gravity - Africa - Touch (the new fragrance) All of these varieties are available as shower gels or deodorants, and also the recent 'Lynx Dry' anti-perspirant. Of the above, I would say that 'Dimension' or 'Africa' are the nicest varieties, in terms of smell. Lynx products can also be bought in 'gift sets' that usually have one of each of the products in a box together, usually in the same scents; they sometimes include after-shave or shaving foam. These gift sets make good Christmas or birthday presents, and are usually more widely available at Christmas, unsurprisingly! They can be bought for around £4.99 each, and I have bought these gift sets for other people on numerous occasions before. The shower gel is a 250ml-size bottle, and the deodorant is a 150ml bottle; I find that the deodorant tends to only last about a week or so before it runs out, but the shower gel can last for a few weeks. The shower gel inside is also a red or blue colour (depending on which variety you buy) when you have squirted some out of it's bottle. One of the reasons I like to buy Lynx products is that I like the smell of most of the
varieties, as they have a nice fresh smell that lasts for quite a long time. I would say that I probably buy the deodorants more regularly - and they can be bought for around £1.99 each, although I have got 2 for 1 priced at £2.49. They are also very widely available to buy, and can be found practically any chemist or supermarket anywhere. I buy Lynx Shower gels every so often too - usually the Pulse or Gravity variety. These can be bought for around £2.50 each, depending on where you buy them from. The shower gels have a nice smell to them, and it says on the bottle that it can be used as shampoo on your hair; I have used it like this before, but my hair didn't feel particularly clean afterwards, so I wouldn't recommend the shower gels for this. My overall opinion is that Lynx products are probably the best kind of deodorants and shower gels that you can buy, or at least the best that I have tried so far. The smell of each of the products are nice, although I prefer certain varieties to others - the Dimension deodorant has a slightly strange smell, in my opinion. But overall, I would definitely recommend the Lynx products, especially if you have not tried it before. :-)

            Advantages

            Disadvantages

Today I?ll be reviewing Lynx Pulse Shower Gel, a new addition to the Lynx range. Personally I would never go out and buy any Lynx product mainly because of the cheap and nasty experiences I had with it when I was in my early teens. I always found that their deodorants simply masked any odour instead of neutralising them making me feel insecure. This fear has followed me into later life (as my numerous ?smelly? opinions might reveal). Due to these feelings I can safely say I wasn?t going to bother with this present and push it to the back of my bathroom cupboard only to be used in an emergency. That emergency came last week when I realised I had run out of soap and so the Pulse Shower Gel was thrust into action. As I said earlier, this was a present and came part of the Lynx Pulse gift set which retails from www.pharmacy2u.com for £11.99. Individually you can expect to pay up to £2.50 for a 250ml bottle of the gel which is widely available from all major supermarkets and good pharmacies. The design of the bottle is fairly nifty, made of black plastic the Lynx logo is emblazoned onto the front in silver with the word PULSE in green. The bottle is moulded at the sides with ridges so that it is easy to grip in the shower. As I don?t have a shower, keeping hold of the bottle wasn?t really an issue. The actual lid to the bottle is a bitch to open at first but after a few days I found it more and more difficult to keep it closed as the lid would simply spring open. The actual blurb on the bottle is short and sweet building the shower gel up. ?Feel the rhythm of Pulse - a light, uplifting new shower gel from Lynx.? The gel is blue/green in colour and once out of the bottle the smell was clearly evident. Strong would be an understatement. This stuff is powerful and reminds me of the Lavender Haze air freshener. Subtle this is not. On application to wet skin the gel began to lather up very well an
d a little did go a long way. The smell of the suds also seemed as strong as it was when first poured into my hands. I bathed with the gel then proceeded to dry myself. Once dry I took a swift sniff of my skin. The fragrance was light and the lavender was noticeable and to be honest it was actually pleasant. My skin felt soft to the touch as though moisturiser had been applied. I always find that after using soaps my skin feels dry, so this was a big plus point for the gel. Not only did the gel leave my skin soft, but it smelt lovely for over 5 hours. My skin continued to feel moisturised and it gave me the overall feeling of being clean. Overall I was impressed with Pulse shower gel, yes the bottle is rather tacky and cheap on the eye but it does smell really nice and has a long lasting effect when used. I?ve been using this for over a week now and still have half of the bottle left. Once it has run out though I probably won?t be buying anymore due to the actual price. At £2.50 for a bottle it is far more expensive than buying soap that will last a lot longer than this product. In summary, a good product, shame about the price. RECOMMENDED Lynx Shower Gels can be used on hair, but personally I wouldn?t recommend it. In the interests of giving a full and balanced opinion I did use it in my hair and it left it feeling dry, limp and left me with an itchy scalp. Not good at all. Lynx is a brand of Lever Faberge Limited and they can be contacted at: Freepost Admail 1000 London SW1A 2XX Thanks for taking the time to read and rate. Steve :o) P.S - My Lynx phobia has been cured!

              Advantages

              Disadvantages

An un-namable fellow Dooyoo member put me up to this you know, go on Chris they said - I dare you to do a Beauty op, well smells are beautiful and strangely enough I don't wear make-up, so you're all going to have to make do with this instead, be lucky you're getting any at all (fnar). To be fair my main opinion on all Lynx deodorants is one of - 'sniff em in the shop first - they may make you smell like an old man'. Basically what I'm trying to say is that some of their 'fragrances' smell awful, they smell like the stereotypical 'Old Spice' smell - and that ain't a good thing, but if you test the scent before you make a wallet dent you could come out with something good. When you walk into a chemist/supermarket/wherever you will be faced with a lot of varieties to choose from - if I was you I'd go straight towards either Aquarius or Dimension, as these are easily the best-smelling of the range, where-as I'd avoid Safari like a plague - its hard to actually describe what these smell like - except that of Safari - imagine the smell you encounter when you walk into the cheap Curry-house after a night out, now magnify that by 10 - ladies and gents you have your safari! But what kind of reactions can you expect, well the latest claim the Lynx marketting men came up with was that the protection lasts 24 hours, people who know me know that I participate in a lot of sports - so of course in the interests of research I applied some one morning at 9am and went straight to my weekly football match - and to be fair at the end of that match, the fragrance was still there, but that wasn't all I had planned. Next was a hot shower done for 2 reasons - although the football match had left my armpits still fresh and sweet - the rest of my body wasn't as lucky, so that smell needed to go - and also I wanted to see if my Lynx could survive it - and it failed there and then. However
do I begrudge that the Lynx product didn't live up to its 24 hour claim? - well no, the marketting men were probably expecting the normal day - not some 23 year old bloke testing it to the extreme and back - and in a day that ended up in a night out at a hot sweaty night-club after 2 applications it was still working to stop those unfriendly smells eminating from under my arms, so it wasn't all bad. Y'know I've only just noticed the other question down there - How does it affect your skin? - well to be honest - it does make my arms seemingly want to stick to my body a bit, of course with the mandatory cold feeling all deodorants give - but this is the first product of that kind I've had that literally makes your skin as sticky as fly-paper. One question that has been asked is that of the packaging - now this I used to hate as it was your standard black aerosol style bottle which if left in a bag like other things could have easily been emptied by something heavy on the actual nozzle, however now they've modified it so that you not only is it child-proof as such but the above scenario can't happen. As with all health and body-products I use you'd be happy to know that it isn't tested on animals so is perfect for the environmentalist like me. Finally price-wise it depends where you go and what you opt for - gift packs including Shower-Gel will cost you the best part of £4 where-as a single cylinder of Lynx is usually anything from £1.69 upwards - it sounds a lot but it does last you a long time though! If you have any in-depth queries about the product you can always conact Lynx at: Consumer Care Lever Faberge Ltd Freepost Admail 1000 London SW1A 2XX or telephone them on 0800 585204 Right thats it - this is too hard, I like lynx don't get me wrong - but I prefer to write about movies, books and music - so can I go back to writ
ing a bout them - pleeeeeeeeeeeeease!?!

you can always tell when a man is wearing lynx. Its got that unique and sultry fragrance that women will never mistake. With this product you can get a variety of different smells and there all as nice as the next one. You can't go wrong when using Lynx because it's not to weak and not too overpowering as some other men's bodysprays. It creates a fresh masculine smell every time it's used and if you havn't got time to shower can cover up old smells.

For as long as I can remember I have always used lynx as my deodrant spray(but i do try other brands as well). Ive tried different scents and have found LYNX AFRICA to be my favourite. The can itself is very comfy to hold and there is a new spray system on it which is a lot better. I think it is to stop young children from spraying it dangerously on themselves. All cans are black apart from the special editions which are silver. There are also the individual colours which each scent has. EG. AFRICA is red and green and ATLANTIS is blue an white It is very hard to describe the scent but if I was to do a word association with it I would use: COOL REFRESHING GENTLE POPULAR SWEET In my opinion I think it is by far the most popular out of the LYNX range which include other scents such as: APOLLO, VOODOO, PHOENIX, NIRVADA(not produced any more to my knowledge) and ATLANTIS. It is available from virtually every superstore and other such shops as superdrug and savers. It is priced at £1.98 in tesco so the price may vary depending where you shop. I did used to purchase it at the price of £2.19 so it is cheaper. Probably to compete against other brands. INGREDIENTS: Alcohol Denat, Butane, Isobutane, Propane, Parfum, Penetetic acid, Aqua, Isoporpyl Myristate, Diisopropylamine, Aminomethyl Propanol and Bht. Most of them dont mean a thing to me but at least all of you know so if you were alergic to any then you would know before hand. DIRECTIONS: To be sprayed 15cm from the body and to be kept away from dry skin and your face. Dont use near any form of flame and avoid spraying it for too long.

I've been using Lynx for years, longer than I can remember and it was great. New Lynx was of course worth a try and I hadn't noticed much of a difference apart from the new slidey bit on the top...until that is about 5 minutes after I had done the armpit thing! My god, sting or what? It was like mustard gas for the armpits and it almost made my eyse water...I persisted with it (the girlfriend loves the new fragrances) for a week before having to call the 0800 number on the can. The lady at the other end was sympathetic and even offered to send me vouchers to cover my costs....is it only me? They were quick to reimburse me which smells a bit (forgive the pun)...anyone else had the same trouble?

                    Disadvantages

If only all men used deodorant the world would be a fresher place, (Lol). I don’t mean to offend any of you males out there, but its amazing how many don’t bother. I my self-just love a man who smells great and I have found that Lynx Body spray is one of the best around. My husband has been using it for some time now and has tried all the different fragrances. For those of you that don’t know Faberge makes it, they have been around for some time. Another reason for choosing Lynx for your man is that there are other products like shaving gel, shampoo & hair gels that smell fabulous, that work well with deodorant. There are six fragrances to choose from which are, Africa, Voodoo, Apollo, Inca, Alantis & Phoenix. All the body sprays have a very distinctive vibrant masculine fragrance, and my favorite has to be Africa it has a lovely warm, spicy, musky and sensual smell, in fact it really turns me on. It is very long lasting and my husband swears by it for keeping his armpits dry all day. It does give great protection, it comes in a 150ml spray and costs around £2 per can, but you often see it on special offers, which I always go for. I would say a can would last about a month or so, as you don’t need to spray too much at one time. I personally think that the Lynx range of fragrances are more sensual than some of these really expensive after-shaves on the market today and a lot of them just haven’t got the lasting, lingering fragrance. Why pay out all that money, when Lynx could save you pounds. So ladies go and buy some for your fella, as I am sure one of the fragrances will have an effect on you and might even bring out the animal in you. Fellas what are you waiting for go and buy some it might just spice up your love life. I hope I have persuaded you to buy some and if it works for you please let me know. Bye From Cinystar

Why is it that Lynx has become the standard name in Men’s deodorant? Is it the jet black casing? The cool sounding names they give their scents? The name itself perhaps? No, I believe that it’s because the Lynx brand is known for the quality of the product and the lovely fragrances that you can get. The Lynx sprays are made by Faberge, which also makes a lot of female scents and deodorants. Their name has been made more well known from their many promotions for dance clubs and artists as well as through their gradual takeover of the shop shelves with the newer Lynx products, shaving gel, shower gel, hair gel and others. Lynx is one of the few deodorants that don’t seem to harsh for my skin, some of the others I have tried give me a rash or give me sore armpits, not nice at all! Many deodorants I have tried do not last throughout the day and although working in an office isn’t the most demanding task, it can get quite hot and sweaty sometimes, so I rely on the deodorant to last. Lynx sprays seem to do the job well, keeping their nice scent throughout the day and stopping me from feeling like a sponge that has just been wrung under a tap. Now for the Africa Scent. Normally I stick to Lynx Phoenix as I like the smell, but not being one to turn down a new experience, I saw the Africa spray on offer in my local Superdrug store and quickly snapped up a few cans to try out. I trust the name for the reasons I have already mentioned, so it was only the smell of the scent itself that concerned me. Not wanting to waste too much time in the shop, smelling deodorants and getting funny looks (is it only me that gets this?), I just bought this one on faith, besides, I had payed less for it anyway, so I had less to lose. Now I don’t know how they name their scents, but I assume they have vivid imaginations at Faberge because nearly all the smells from the cans have virtually no link to the name on the can.
Africa is no exception, it doesn’t make me think of rainforests or large cites where stopping at traffic lights can get your car stolen either. Still, it is a nice smell and I will try my best to describe it for you. The aroma that first hits you is rather sweet. It wasn’t exactly what I was expecting, but then you smell it again and it seems to go from a sweet smell to something with hidden spices. Intriguing! Of course, by this time you will also notice the hint of something similar to oranges and a hint of flowers. If all this sounds a bit poncy, I can assure you that when all these aromas are put together you get a very manly smell, so much so that you may find yourself lighting fires and dragging girls back to your cave (ok, so perhaps I exaggerated that last bit…). This adds up to a very pleasant aroma which was appreciated by my wife and therefore a hit in this household. In conclusion, I will be buying the Africa scent again as it seems to go down well with those who matter most. It has the usual Lynx seal of quality too, so is recommended to anyone that already uses other Lynx deodorants and is thinking of a change. Must be the Lynx affect, I suppose!
