Introduction

My toiletries collection always has a Lynx product in it, from a small bottle of Lynx Africa aftershave to shower gels and deodorants. I chop and change between the sprays and roll on types, so this review is about the Lynx Africa dry action antiperspirant roll on.

What does it do?

The label claims to give 24 hour protection and is approved for hot encounters. I can't comment on the hot encounters - I've been married for 13 years and a hot encounter for us is holding hands whilst waiting for the kettle to boil. I do agree though that it gives 24 hour protection from body odour. I go running quite often whilst wearing this roll on and never notice that smell of B.O from my pits.

Opinion

It does work very well, and you don't need to apply massive amounts of it to your arm pits for a decent level of protection. Although its called Lynx Africa dry, I don't think it smells of the classic Lynx Africa. It has a very subtle smell which is quite pleasant, but you don't get that whiff of it during the day like you do with the Lynx deodorant spray.

Once on, it doesn't take long to dry so there's no issue of staining tshirts whilst putting them over still wet arm pits. Also, I like the fact that you don't get little white specks of dried roll on flaking off into your clothes during the day. As with all roll ons, before I use I need to move the roller ball with my thumb first which wets the roller and makes sure I don't rip out hairs on a dry ball. Ouch. The top end of the roller can get messy after a while as the antiperspirant from your skin will collect and dry on the applicator - a quick rub with warm water sorts this out.

I think that The RRP of £2.09 is a little steep considering there are cheaper roll on antiperspirants available, but after a little shopping around you will be able to find this product available both online and in shops for less than its recommended price. In summary, I'm quite happy with the job this does and award 4 out of 5 stars, I've knocked one off for the price.

Summary: Does it job well but in my opinion it's over priced.
