“ Brand: Lynx / Deodorants / Type: Deodorant Spray / Suitable for: Body „
I first discovered this deodorant through a male friend, he used to wear it constantly and I always liked the smell of it, so eventually I got myself a can of it, not much more to say really...
The smell is very masculine (not very helpful when you're a girl) but can also be complimenting to a girl if not worn heavily, the smell is kinda of musky with a sort of fruity twist but although being a nice smell at first whiff I have found it can become kind of sickening over time.
The bottle is very recognisable, classic to Lynx's design it sports a green customisation and is very light and beneficial to people who like to carry their deodorant around with them, the bottle looks young without looking childish, it's main factor is most likely the supposed "cool" look about it.
What's it made from?
Alcohol Denat, Butane, Isobutane, Propane, Parfum, Propylene, Glycol, Polyaminopropyl Biguanide Stearate, Benzyl Alcohol, Benzyl Salicylate, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Citral, Citronellol, Geraniol, Hexyl Cinnamal, Limonene and Linalool, now personally I have no idea what any of those ingredients are, but that's what apparently makes up Lynx Twist so there you go.
How Long Does It Last?
It normally depends on the person but generally Lynx should last a good 12 hours, though a lot of people feel the need to constantly refresh the smell throughout the day.
Lynx has a wide variety of different deodorants ranges from all types of smells my personal favourites would be Lynx Temptation and their first Female Deodorant Lynx Effect, though many people would say Lynx Africa as it seems to be the most popular among people, Lynx have also bought out Shower Gels and Shampoos to accompany their Deodorants, which quite frankly are much nicer than the original product.
In conclusion I would say that you can't go wrong with a bit of Lynx but make sure to choose one that's complimenting and suits your personality and as for Lynx Twist, I would definitely say consider a different variety as this one is just too overpowering.
@ About @
This deodorant comes in a 150ml sprayable (aerosol) can. The can itself is very easy to use where you simply twist (pardon the pun) the top of the can in an anti clockwise direction, and push down the button. The reason it has the twist function at the top is because if you go away and pack it in a suitcase crammed with heavy things surrounding the can, it's easy to just depress the button and spray it all over your things. A very well thought out design.
@ Smell and Strength @
First of all, this is definitely one of Lynx's strongest scents and it really gets up your nose at close range and after smelling it for quite some time. It does not have a smell that you get used to easily either, the smell is still there after an hour of constantly smelling it.
The scent will also last throughout the day but becomes considerably weaker the more you sweat and the longer you have it on without a top up. After 7 hours the smell is still there because you can smell it at close range but for people around you not at close range the smell has almost completely gone by this time.
The scent has a tangy taste to it with a hint of lime. It has a cool hint to it and is very very strong when you first use it. It has a very slight hint of a bleach like smell too. The scent is sweet and rich but not like a strong spicy smell or an acidic citrus like smell, yes it smells faintly of lime but this is not up your nose all the time, and not the first scent you notice. The shower gel that comes in the bundle packs with this deodorant does smell similar to this but not as strong - this deodorant has a more pungent smell. It's another marmite "love it or hate it" deodorants given the strength of it.
@ Overall @
This deodorant is for people who love a good strong in your face deodorant. It's one of Lynx's stronger scents and of you don't like lime or any " right up your nose" smells for that matter then this is not for you, I would recommend a much more subtle deodorant. If you like the smell of the shower gel equivalent to this then I would recommend it. If you don't want people to think "that deodorant is way to strong" and they don't want to smell it then try something else out of the lynx range. This is not for you.
It's a strong deodorant for those that like one... And I certainly do.
This Christmas I didn't get the thick woolly socks I had been hoping for but I did get some smellies which I neither wanted nor needed. Oh well.
One of my sons bought me two Lynx products - this deodorant and a matching shower gel. I haven't started the shower gel yet but have used the deodorant for the last few days.
This may sound a bit Irish, but I prefer not to smell than to smell and I seldom use anything that carries a strong scent, preferring the smell of clean skin. It's a little more subtle in my opinion. For that reason, I would never buy this myself and have always seen it as a young man's product.
This is a deodorant body spray and although it isn't a strong smell, it's just a bit too stinky for me and more like a perfume. To me, it's a pretty ordinary, not to say pretty naff smell. And anyway, I have enough trouble with the woman I've got so am not really interested in snaring another just by smelling like a new man.
I am not that taken with the rather gimmicky twist cap which seems to be there more for novelty value rather than any practical reason. You reveal and conceal the spray nozzle by twisting the ribbed top; the container doesn't have a top that comes off. It's just different for difference sake, I think.
The can holds 150ml and we are told to spray it at a distance of 15cms from the body. I haven't used it as a body spray and will use it sparingly on a clean body to give the faintest scent. Because it isn't an anti-perspirant, it isn't appropriate for a hot day.
My wife likes the smell but maybe she is just hankering for a younger man. When I was asked by my son whether I liked it, I felt obliged to say No. "I'll have it, if you don't like it, Dad!", was his immediate reply. Did he have an ulterior motive in gifting this to me? Conceivably so. That's my boy!
Let's Twist again!
The commercial of this deospray of Lynx says that women will quickly lose interest and for as a man to keep her interest you will have to change to keep her attention. That's why they invented the deospray Twist that should change the scent while you are wearing it. Thus it remains surprising and women do not run away from you. You start the day by Axe fresh and the smell changes to delicious more sweet smell.
Obviously it's all about the scent. Once you sprayed you will notice a strong lemon scent. In itself it smells quite nice especially for the summer. It wouldn't harm if it was a little bit less strong at the beginning. But after fifteen minutes the dominant lemon scent becomes less and leaves just a very fresh scent. This still smells like lemon but more in a very pleasant way.
A few hours later, I notice that the lemon scent disappears into the background and the smell changes into a sweet and fruity smell. It is a wonderful fresh sweet scent. Personally I find this part the best. The fresh and sweet is a perfect blend of flavors! In the evening I still smell it but now it's more a sweet scent left instead of the lemon smell. The smell remains very long, because even when we went to bed I could still smell it.
So in the end I was pleasantly surprised by this product of Lynx and it turned out to be true of what they have been saying. I didn't believe it myself first but now I have tried I can actually notice how the scent changes from really fresh into a more sweet smell. It's very good and very surprising. I like the fact that the smell stays with you during the whole day and it doesn't cause any skin irritation. Great product!
Lynx twist the newest and boldest male deodorant spray to leave the company lynx so far. It is sold on the campaign that women change there mind easily on what they want and this deodorant will help you keep up in this hectic world.
Now so far as I can tell this magical spray has not changed at all since I've started using it, I put it on in the morning after a shower and get a blast of an odour similar to a blend of citrus and B.O. which then thankfully fades pretty quickly, Lynx's new deodorant certainly is not up to standard in fact I believe the whole trade has been failing since the glory days of Lynx Africa and the other originals the newer the deodorants get the more ludicrous the ad campaign becomes and the worse the smell and also the less anyone cares about the spray trust me on this do not buy this spray
