Lynx Vice Body Spray
Lynx is a brand that's been around for years. Did you know the brand is called Axe is other countries? I always find it funny how they name some brands elsewhere. No matter what's it called, I like the Lynx products, but if the Lynx Vice Body Spray is one to use?
Lynx has quite a range of products and these days it shows adverts on television where you see the man getting women by using this product. Well I don't know if that's a plus or negative, because I imagine it would be quiet annoying having a group of women running behind you every day. So no, it never happened to me or anyone else that I know.
Lynx Vice Body Spray does really stand out from the other deodorants with its red design on the can. The background is black, but the design is bright red. The new can that Lynx have been using now is really nice and handy. This screw cap on the can prevents you for spraying per accident or that the can will leak in your bag. It's easy to use.
But does it work and prevent me from sweating and smelling bad? Well I really like the scent of this deodorant It has a really distinctive fruity scent to it, but still fresh. When you spray the deodorant on you, the scent is quiet strong, but weakens to more a soft scent. If it prevents me from actually sweating? Well I didn't really test it by going running or something, but I like the Lynx products and think they are good preventing sweating. I never really sweat a lot and I still smell nice.
Lynx Vice Body Spray is really one I would recommend for smelling nice during the day. I do have to say I'm a little doubtful that it prevents you from sweating all day long, but I really like the scent of this deodorant. It's a nice fresh fruity scent perfect for the summer! The spray is very friendly to my skin and it never irritates, which is really important. So definitely a good one to use!
Lynx Vice Deodorant Body Spray.
This is probably my favourite of the Lynx Deodorant spray products. I've tried quite a few of them, and usually end up buying the least offensive one that happens to be available in my local shop. For some reason, I always end up with Africa (which is OK, but not one of my favourites).
Fortunately, my local Boots had actually stocked up on men's toiletries for the year(!) and had pretty much every variety of Lynx Deodorant spray in.
Faced with such rare choice I was tempted by Lynx "Vice" - Ideal for dropping in my kit bag for when I'm in the changing rooms. (The twist to open and spray cap is ideal for rolling around in the bottom of a kit bag, as the lid won't fall off.)
Importantly, what does it smell like?
Well, it's sort of bitter/dry, with a few sweet fragrant undertones... It's very difficult to describe because it really doesn't smell like anything else. I'm sure that a perfumer could come up with "hints of turpentine" and such like, but it's a case of have a smell of it and see, I'm afraid.
It does have a fairly "refined" scent - it doesn't smell cheap or tacky at all (which is strange since it's called "Vice"!).
It is quite dissimilar to other Lynx products, which is a good thing since some of them do smell very similar, as far as I'm concerned.
For me, Vice is probably my favourite Lynx Deodorant Spray. It is long-lasting without being too strong, and of course I like the way that it smells.
Unfortunately (for me), I don't find that it's widely available - As I mentioned before, some outlets tend to stock the "popular" Lynx items over the full range.
Well, I am a female so as such I don't set out to purchase products like this but if I am staying at my fiancé's house and I have run out of deodorant or body spray then needs must and I will find myself using a few squirts of whatever is lying in the cupboard.
Lynx Vice is provided in a 150ml can which retails at around £2.30 at present, these are available in a fairly wide variety of stores and a wide variety of scents. Vice is one of the ones that is not quite so widely available which is probably why my other half likes it as he just has to be awkward (men hey!).
The can has a twist lid that goes down to reveal the spray and you just press it down around 15cm away from where you want to spray it and just press down to release the spray.
The spray emits a fine mist that is immediately filled with scent. The scent of this is one that is immediately quite masculine and has a very nice scent to it indeed. A small amount is all that is needed to give you a nice scent that lasts for many hours and when wearing it I don't find that the smell is overpowering, however, whenever I move I do notice the smell and once again I always think how nice I am smelling.
There really must be something about Lynx scents as on the odd occasion I've used a little Lynx spray I have had comments from people I work with asking what the lovely scent is and they are usually quite surprised when I tell them that it's lynx!
It is hard to put my finger on a particular scent with this but I do just love the masculine scent. This is not an anti-perspirant so is just designed to keep you smelling nice and yummy although if you are a sweaty person then best to get a Lynx Dry or something like that to stop the actual sweating rather than using this to cover up the scent.
These cans are fairly small for the price and don't seem to last particular long, especially when you have someone who likes to cover themselves in the scent so that it lasts most of the day at work.
I would definitely recommend this to men or women as the masculine scent is very nice. This is the kind of spray that can be smelt in the room for a fair few hours after spraying and if you are in an enclosed space it can be a little too much so ensure you open a window if you are spraying a lot. This is the ideal spray for ladies to pinch a bit of as it will remind them of their man and make them want to get home that little bit earlier. When my fiancé is wearing this spray I absolutely fancy the pants off of him (more than normal) so perhaps there really is something about Lynx that drives some women wild!
In the past I always thought of Lynx and then thought of the young boys in school but it is a much more grown up scent that really suits some people and my other half is one of them. The scent is yummy and makes him even more attractive than normal, maybe I should stop letting him wear it to work hey!
I am going to rate this spray 5/5 as it works well, is long lasting and has a lovely scent. The design of the packaging is very good as it can just be twisted up again to prevent it from inadvertently spraying and it really does have a cool, manly look about it that is stylish and sleek and would definitely appeal to the younger market.
Why would I as a feminine woman be writing bout a Lynx Body-spray that is of course designed for men? Well for one my Stepfather uses it, so did my ex and er... I have used it too!
Yep you read right! I ran out of my own deodorant at short notice the other day and I was planning on going to the gym! Stepping out of the shower meant I was in a mess and it was either use man's stuff or stink worse than a butch woman at the gym! So I took the latter option cos my fitness comes first!
150ml black can with silver and red writing on the front telling me it is Lynx 'Vice'. On the back of the can (now all in silver writing) I'm given directions for use and cautions are listed as are the ingredients, contact details for Unilever are given (the manufacturer of all Lynx products) and the size is stated.
Nice enough can and I do like the neat lid to the top you simple unscrew slightly to reveal the pop up sprayer underneath. Manly can, simple to use and it's informative enough too!
Directions For Use:
Hold can 15cm from the body and spray.
Me using It:
Well I was a bit wary to be honest but like I say there was no way I was going to miss the gym or stink the place out so away I went with it!
I found this to be moist to spray onto my armpits (I didn't spray all over my body as a body-spray (I thought that may be taking the usage too far lol) and I found it to spray out very evenly and quite moist but gently hydrating at the same time and I'd just shaved my armpits and I got no sting from using it at all!
I was able to dress pretty much immediately afterwards too which was a bonus and then I simply was able to forgot it was there! I felt no greasiness no residue and no dreaded white powder marks were visible.
However I wasn't completely able to forget it was there because of the fragrance. Now when my ex bf used this and my Step-dad uses it, it was/is lovely. It's spicy and sweet and incredibly fresh smelling and...... well butch even though this does have a slight sweetness to it. On me it made me smell like a man! lol. The hotter I got though with my work out the more the smell kicked in which of course is again, great for a bloke!
It kept my body odour at bay though and kept me feeling dry and fresh too with no horrid BO aroma so I was rather pleased about that though did attract some odd looks from my training buddies that day!
This is a really nice, strong smelling, manly deodorant/body-spray. It works really, really very well, stays smelling fairly strong for hours and keeps nasty niffs at bay! However this one isn't for us girls! lol.
It can be found in all good supermarkets and chemists and expect to pay around £2.28 a can unless on offer (which it usually is!).

Lynx have been around for a good while now, and have released a huge variety of deodorants for men in that time. Originally, Lynx deodorants had the simple remove the lid and push down operation, but the modern canisters are lidless, and require you to twist the top to reveal the nozzle. This is a better design because it means the lid can't get lost (because there isn't one!) and you don't have to worry about the can spraying accidentally whilst in your luggage for example.
This particular scent of Lynx is called "Vice". The appearance of the can uses a tattered red graffiti-style lettering which looks appealing. But of course that's not the best part, the best part is that this fragrance of Lynx is my favorite by far! The scent is masculine and yet not too overwhelming, so you wont get irritated by the smell after wearing it for a while. My girlfriend loves when I wear it, and I feel confident wearing it. Confidence is actually an issue with some Lynx fragrances as not all liked by the majority of people. There are several Lynx fragrances which I really don't like at all, and many of them just smell the same to me. But this one is a safe bet, and along side Lynx "Pulse", is my favorite Lynx fragrance so far. It also seems to have some pretty good staying power, so it lasts a pretty long time, easily protects you for a long night out. I tried "RightGuard" a few times which is signifcantly cheaper, but the fragrances don't smell as good as lynx.
Also, I wouldn't recommend going for the cheaper alternatives to men's deodorants, such as supermarket's own brand deodorants. Whilst they are cheaper, its not as high quality as Lynx and the fragrances offered are not up to scratch. I like cutting corners where I can to save money, but when it comes to deodorant, I spend a bit more for the quality, and for me, that's Lynx.
I use the Lynx brand of male grooming products regularly and I now have a new favourite deodorant from the Lynx range in the form of Lynx Vice.
This comes in the same 150ml tin as the other deodorants in the range, the colours on the tine for this are red and yellow on the typical black tin.
It has a very fruity scent but still masculine at the same time, it offers great protection from sweating and on days where I leave for work at 7.30 am and then end up going to the pub after work and not getting home till 8.30pm I am still confident that this Lynx will be doing its job and indeed the scent is still noticeable.
There are tons of deodorants these days and there are tons of different Lynx ones alone.
Whilst I still use other Lynx deodorants and I occasionally try other brands too if they seem good or are on offer, the main deodorant on my shopping list now is definitely Lynx Vice.
You get the shower gel to go with this which smells exactly the same; I say that because the shower gels do not always match the deodorants perfectly.
You can expect to pay anything from £1.75 to £2.29 for a Lynx deodorant and the shower gel costs around £1.99 but they both last really well and you can sometimes get the two in a set for around £3.49.
This is my favourite of the lynx range. Now of course this is partially because as I may have mentioned in my other reviews, it's had quite a few comments compared to most, which surprised me as it's fairly subtle. It's not like some deodorants which are more of a fragrance; it's soft and easy to smell. I'd almost go as far as saying its feminine, as it's slightly fruity smelling.
However I wouldn't go quite this far, and don't' worry it won't make you smell like a girl, it just lacks the sharpness which you'd associate with most sprays, which makes it quite different, and as I've said people seem to notice it, which means it eliminates the need for an expensive aftershave or the like.
The price is good at around £2.50, although it always seems to be buy one get one free in Tesco, and if you get the Dry version it seems to cut down on perspiration which is always a good thing.
Anyway if you want a Lynx for going out it, or just wearing everyday (as a lot are only suitable for one for the other) this is the Lynx for you!
If you are a regular reader of my reviews then you may know that I am quite fond of the Lynx brand of deodorants and have used just about every one they have ever released over the last ten or so years. Lynx are one of the most prolific brands in the business as they seem to release a great new fragrance every few months. One such Lynx Deodorant that had a great release was Lynx Vice. I have previously reviewed the Lynx Vice shower gel which was posted on 6th October 2008.
Lynx Vice comes in a 150ml bottle just like the other Lynx deodorants do. I really like the design of the bottle as it's red and yellow colours blend well on a black bottle. It is as eye catching as any other Lynx deodorant and has proved to be a very popular line of the Lynx brand. Because it's a fairly new fragrance it features the distinctive Lynx spray cap which is so easy to use and adds another thing to distinguish itself from the competition.
This deodorant is one of the best Lynx fragrances of the last five or so years and gives a nice distinctive fruity scent which gives very good protection against sweat and odour even in the most challenging enviroments. I remember using this deodorant at a Boyz II Men concert in Hammersmith in 2007 and even after a hot and sweaty gig It was still smelling good enough for a night in the pub afterwards. I have found Lynx to be particularly good in terms of protection against sweat and odour
There are many great deodorants on offer nowadays but Lynx are still one of the market leaders and Vice is one of their finest fragrances and is widely available in just about every supermarket, superdrug and wilkinsons up and down the country. I have seen the price range from £1.49ish to upwards of £3 for the 150ml bottle so it might be good to look around for some offers like in Boots for instance.
