With so many different deodorant products of different brands/applications/smells etc it can be difficult and take time to find one that suits you, especially if you have sensitive underarms.
Loreal Men Expert Sensitive is a spray on anti antiperspirant deodorant designed for those with sensitive skin. It has a hypoallergenic formula and does not contain alcohol.
Smell - A gentle scent that lasts for all day protection. Difficult to describe smell in words however it is not what I would call strong and seems pleasant without seeming to be too feminine.
Bottle - Cool sleek design, an aluminium/silver curved bottle to give it a distinctive look on the shelves and an easy push-down button on top to release the spray. Also has a plastic cap to cover the top of the bottle to stop it from drying out.
Price - Can be expensive, Loreal is a distinguished cosmetic brand however I picked up a 250ml bottle on offer for around £1.50. However can range higher than this. However a bottle has lasted me about three to four weeks as only a smallish spray is all that is needed!
Feel - Some deodorants can sting and burn on application and leave underarms sore, however I have not found this to be the case with Loreal Sensitive. It's antiperspirant activity does seem to work mildly however this can vary from person to person. Leaves a fresh feeling all day without the need for a top up spray.
Overall - A very good product for sensitive skin that works well leaving underarms feeling fresh all day. My bottle stated that it can last up to 48hrs however, after showering etc I would always apply at least one spray a day to keep things fresh. Full price cost may seem a little much however, but if it can be found on offer, definitely worth giving it a go!
As you may have noticed from my other reviews on dooyoo, I am a huge fan of trying different deodorants and body sprays. I'm not brand loyal what so ever, so when I saw this in tesco I thought it was worth a try. For a limit time this was only £1. It was worth a try because I have heard good things about loreal for men products. I picked two of these up due to the excellent price and I have been really happy with it. I will now go into more detail on the product and explained why I like it!
You get a tall 250 ml bottle for your money. It is a very stylish bottle which looks very posh on the shells compared to others in the market. The bottle is matt sliver colour and has a lovely orange coloured lid. The bottle says loreal men expert and you can tell its going to be nice just by looking at the bottle! You are told that it is for sensitive skin and that it is alcholol free which promotes healthier skin. Overall this is a great design and is very manly. They have certainly deigned a different style compared to others which is refreshing.
The deodorant itself:
I have found this to be fantastic. I suffer from sensitive skin and some products just don't work for me, this one does though! It is said to protect you for 24 hours and I feel it does, if you spray it in the morning after a shower, you will smell good the next day, it will have faded but it stops you from stinking! :) the smell is extremely fresh and different to the normal heavy smell. Your body and underarms will smell great and it tends to stay fresh all day, it's one of those that last and you actually notice yourself. My girlfriend loves this on me too, so that's an added bonus for me. I had never heard of loreal to do a men's deodorant untill I saw this, I think it's worth a try and you may not have heard of it before. I have recently seen a few adverts by loreal who are promoting there mens products. I am yet to try any of there other products, but after using this I think it's worth a try of what else they have to offer.
I paid a very good price for this, but I would pay full price again as it was a joy to use. Very fresh and lasted a long time. The spray was easy and just the Right amount comes out. The bottle is stylish and overall this is a great product. I am going to be awarding this a 5 star rating as I have no negatives to say about it. It works great for me and I would recommend you give it a go.
Thanks for reading :)
I regularly use Men Expert Antiperspirant by L'Oreal as it is a good brand and I really think it's effective. I like the silver tin which contains 150mls of deodorant, and I pay around £3 for my bottle though sometimes I can get it on offer. It's a 24 hour deodorant and I find it is very hard working. It's also hypoallergenic which is essential for me as I have very sensitive skin and I have to be very careful about what stuff I use on my skin.
I just use it as I do any other antiperspirant, i.e. give the can a shake and then blast my pits with it. It sort of dries pretty much immediately and I am able to just put my shirt on and go. It doesn't sting or irritate at all and I always feel nice and fresh when I use this stuff. I also doesn't leave any little white blobby bits on the inside of my work shirts which I have to be the case with other antiperspirants I've used.
The smell of this is nice and fresh and clean and not too girly or womanly. It's a proper manly smell which I prefer and it always makes me feel confident whenever I use this spray. I take it with me to work in case I go to the gym afterwards but it's so hard working to be honest I rarely have to use any more than my morning spray.
Good stuff and really recommended.
For some unfathomable reason I seem to have, over time, built up a collection of products from the L'Oreal 'Men Expert' range and even though I'm never loyal to a single brand over another I have slowly become quite a fan of the products available. For a few years now I have used L'Oreal's skincare products and before I switched to Shaving Oil I used their Shaving Gel so it was a bit of a no-brainer when I saw the subject of this review available at a special offer recently in ASDA - L'Oreal's Men Expert Deodorant - and at just a pound for a tin I snapped up what I considered a bit of a bargain.
What is it?
Contained in a 150ml tin in the familiar 'men expert' silver and orange colours L'Oreal certainly pack a lot of information and product detail into their packaging, this is a 48 hour non-stop Anti-Perspirant Deodorant according the the tin which is a 'ultra intensive spray' and is hypo-allergenic. It has 'new sweat captor technology' (which sounds delightful) which apparently has been formulated to be ultra absorbent and as it contains 0% alcohol should combat any stinging sensations that can often be felt when using other brands. The directions for use are pretty much standard for any aerosol deodorant and L'Oreal advise that short blast be sprayed into the armpit and then be simply left alone.
I've been using this deodorant for around three weeks now and have been very impressed with the results it gives, I'm not a particularly sweaty person to be honest but do like to wear a deodorant just to prevent any body odours from developing during the course of a day and using this has certainly kept me feeling fresh and clean. It doesn't sting, irritate or cause any redness to my underarm area and has a neutral fresh fragrance which has no determinable smell, applying straight after coming out of a shower gives me enough protection to last the whole day and there have never been any times when the spray has left a residue or mark on my clothing. Even if I forego a shower and spray just before I'm about to get dressed seems to give the deodorant time to absorb into my skin and again doesn't leave any residue behind to transfer to the clothing that I wear.
In the past I tended to wear body sprays rather than anti-perspirants as I remembered reading a report years ago which warned about the dangers of stopping the human body from doing the natural process of sweating and didn't like the idea of effectively clogging up the pores of my skin. To be honest I still don't like the idea of stopping my body from doing what it was designed to do but am sensible enough to realise that some anti-perspirants are better than others and so long as my skin has the chance to breathe and would presumably let me know if there was a problem with the product (by means of a rash or irritation) then I'm happy to continue using this to keep me feeling fresh and clean.
This would be something that I recommend to anyone looking for a bit of extra protection especially if they are prone to excess sweating or are particularly active and on the go all the time, a liberal spray on a morning should set you up for the day and in my experience of it I have never had anything but excellent results - I don't feel sweaty, I have no body odour and credit should go to L'Oreal for making a product which lives up to its claims.
As already mentioned I have become a fan of the 'men expert' range of products from L'Oreal over time and am happy to have this amongst my collection, at the special offer price of just a pound it gave me the chance to try it out and having done so I would continue to buy this even at full price although at the time of me writing this it is still on offer at ASDA and I have stocked up on a couple of tins to last me a good couple of months. Looking on-line it would appear that its usual price is just over £3.00 which is comparable to similar products from reputable brand names so I definitely did get mine at a bargain price.
In conclusion then the L'Oreal men expert Anti-Perspirant Deodorant gets a perfect five star rating from me and comes highly recommended. Thanks for reading my review, please note that this may also appear on ciao under my username,
