I first discovered Mitchum deodorant when it was on offer in my local Tesco a few months ago. I had seen it advertised as a deodorant that only needs to be applied once every 48 hours, so thought it would be worth a try.

Mitchum deodorant comes in several versions including powder fresh, shower fresh and un-perfumed roll ons. There is also one specifically for men, an aerosol and a stick version. I decided to try the powder fresh version, as I liked the thought of smelling of powder!

Mitchum deodorants are easy to spot on the shelves with their distinctive dark green plastic bottles. The information on the bottle boasts that you can even skip a day and the deodorant will still be effective. It also claims to be quick drying and non-stinging.

My thoughts.
************
The first thing to note is that the powder fresh version smells lovely! It has a very subtle scent that I would describe as soapy. I don't like deodorants that have overpowering scents and this one certainly passes my scent test!

I apply Mitchum after my morning shower and it always keeps me smelling sweet all day. I have not tried to miss a day, as I really don't see the point! I have never needed to apply this deodorant more than once a day as I have with other brands. When I play tennis I tend to sweat a lot and have noticed that using Mitchum stops any bad odours and keeps me dry too.

Mitchum claim that the deodorant will not sting. I have fairly sensitive skin and can honestly say that even after shaving Mitchum does not sting. Very impressive! Unlike other deodorants Mitchum does not leave any unsightly white marks on my clothes, another big plus in my book.

So are there any down sides to this miracle? Well at £2.79 for a 100ml bottle it is expensive. However Mitchum is often on offer, so it is worth shopping around.

Like many people I sometimes worry about the chemicals I put on my skin and Mitchum has a long list on the back of the bottle! However I am not prepared to smell bad so am more than happy with this product!

Summary: long lasting deodorant
