I have used this Nivea roll on deodorant a few times, as I liked its glass bottle packaging and it felt like a quality product. However in recent times I have found that it is not providing enough under arm dryness for my liking.
I started using Mitchum and have never found anything that compares to the power of this deodorant.
Having said that, I don't use Mitchum all the time as I do not want my body to get too used to it so this Nivea Pearl is my go to in between, whilst I don't think it is as good as Mitchum it is certainly pretty good and I like the fragrance.
I hate spray deodorants with their throat cloying powders so roll on is always my choice. I have found the nivea roll on to be nice and moisturising under the arm and it doesn't dry out and go all powdery like some.
I must have sensitive armpits yet this never makes my skin go all red and itchy.
I usually pay around a pound for the Nivea roll on which I think is a fair and good price to pay as it lasts weeks with daily use.
The other plus point for this roll on deodorant is that it doesn't mark black tops (which I wear a lot of) as long as you let it dry before pulling on your clothes.
In conclusion, this is not my favourite anti perspirant but it is certainly a second best choice and one that I will turn to in lieu of my favourite.
I received this Nivea deodorant included in a gift set of Nivea products. It was actually part of a very much appreciated “Secret Santa “gift set.
I think that this is a very good product with far more advantages than disadvantages.
I will start with probably the only disadvantage and that is that it takes longer to dry than I like. Not that it takes that long to be fair but longer than for example, Amplex roll on deodorant which is one of my favourites. But I do find that it isn't uncommon for roll on deodorants to take a while to dry.
And now I will speak of the advantages of this product.
One big advantage to me is that it is manufactured by Nivea which is one of my favourite brands of toiletries. I have been using Nivea products for many years now and can say that I am rarely disappointed with this brand.
Once this deodorant has dried then I would say that it performs very well.
Nivea Deodorant Dry lives up to its name and manages to keeps my underarms fresh and pleasantly dry all day long.
I like the smell of it which, in my opinion, is pleasant but very subtle. I don’t like a deodorant to have a strong scent as then I find it can clash with other toiletries and perfumes.
This is a gentle deodorant which is definitely kind to my sensitive skin. I haven’t experienced any discomfort when using this product.
Another big advantage to Nivea Dry deodorant is that as long as it is allowed to dry before dressing then it doesn’t mark clothes.
If you like gentle roll on deodorants then this will be worth trying.
I am happy to recommend this product.
Having used deodorant sprays into my early 20's I switched to the roll on kind after becoming frustrated with sprays not lasting very long and making marks on light coloured t-shirts. The Nivea deodorant is definately my favourite and it comes in a mascuine looking colour and designed glass bottle. The product itself smells great and most importantly it does a good job of keeping me smelling fresh for a long time. I always had the impression that roll-ons are for women and men use sprays but this is not the case due to what Nivea have produced here.
Nivea deodorant roll-on for men is good for sensitive skin and it doesnt dry skin out unlike some sprays. Also, it doesnt leave unsightly marks or flake off onto your clothes either. Roll-ons are very efficient and last much much longer than deodorant sprays and I believe they are much better for the environment, too. The fragrance is quite soft and subtle, but definately is better in the long run thatn deodorant that wears off quickly. I would agree with it lasting 24 hours, sprays claim this also but they dont last anywhere near as long as this roll-on.
If you can manage to find some then I would suggest you buy it because it can be quite difficult to get hold of.
I've always had a problem with deodorants turning the arm-pits of my light coloured T-Shirts (usually white ones) yellow. It stains, and doesn't come off in the wash whatever you do. Since I've had this problem, I hunted high and low for a deodorant (roll-on and spray) that didn't ruin all my clothes, but of course it still needed to smell nice and not cost me a fortune. As you've probably guessed by now, this is the one I finally chose after spending so much looking for it!
It comes in a small 50ml blue glass bottle which fits in your hand well and is comfortable to apply. The deodorant easily comes out and doesn't require going over the same spot a hundred times to apply the amount you need. It stands out from the crowd really well, and is quite easy to spot. However, I've only ever seen it in Tescos, not any other supermarkets or even drug stores such as Boots or Superdrug. The Nivea Deodorant logo is at the top of the bottle just below the plastic lid, and below that it states that it is a 'dry' deodorant. I don't really quite know what they mean by that, but it dries quite quickly (usually within a few minutes) and doesn't dry all flaky like the Lynx Dry sprays do.
As soon as you take the lid off the bottle, you can smell it almost instantly. I can't really explain the smell, but it's quite a strong scent and smells really, really nice. My girlfriend always complains when I wear another deodorant (only ever when I've ran out of this one) because she loves the smell.
This deodorant is good for those with sensitive skin like myself, it's alcohol free and doesn't irritate my skin whatsoever. It also says it lasts 24hours, which is a lot more believable than similar products. I can still smell it after sleeping for eight hours straight, and even after cycling in the heat for a good two hours or so too.
As I mentioned earlier, I can only find this product in Tescos, it's about £2.50 a bottle which is quite good considering it lasts me a good three weeks - however this is usually more expensive than other competing products. Keep an eye out for deals though, as I recently got two bottles for £3.00 at my local Tescos, so got a bottle for 50 pence!
Are there words to describe the magic of this product? I just do not know, but I will give it a go!
The Nivea roll on grabs your attention as you see it lined up on the shelf beside all the other deoderant sticks. It's cool, sassy, sophisticated exterior begs you to pick it up and sample it's magic.
As you slowing unscrew the smooth blue lid the smell hits you, BANG. So refreshing! Like an alka-seltzer hitting a glass a glass of ice cold spring water. This smell is simply amazing, one that will live with me for the rest of my days. The smell just oozes freshness and sophisticated aroma.
Smells great, looks great, all very well, but how does this little gem perform?
As the lovely liquid leaves the ball and rolls effortlessly onto your armpit, you just know this is a winner. No aggravation, no wet or sticky residue, this really does tick all the boxes. And most importantly of all, lasts all day too, so no need to reapply the magic liquid throughout the day.
Don't ask how Nivea do it, just ask why the others can't.
