I bought this recently as I saw it on offer and I like to vary the brands that I use. I always try different ones when they are on offer to see how they compare. I was really pleased with this one and think I will be using it again.
I have used Nivea products before, especially their shaving foams and find they are always very gentle and reliable.
This deodorant comes in a small glass bottle with a screw cap lid. It says that it will protect you for 24 hours which is what a lot of deodorants say, but not always achieve.
It is a roll on, when you lift the lid off the ball to roll on is there, it just needs to be rolled around a few times for the liquid to get through.
I don't add much as it is very damp and if I put too much on it takes a while to dry. It has left white marks on a few occasions which was disappointing but now I just make sure i wait longer before I put clothes on and this seems to make it okay.
The smell is nice and fresh and it does linger a bit but isn't over powering so it doesn't matter too much.
It does seem to last 24 hours, I don't need to reapply this so I am pleased with it.
In general I think it compares nicely to what I normally use but isn't anything outstanding. I will be happy to buy this again when it is on offer
Nivea is a brand that we mostly know from the care products. Nivea has been around for many years since the brand first appeared in 1912 with it's crème. The first hair care product came in 1919 and since then it has grown in to a multinational company which almost every person has owned a product from. I have now the Nivea Deo Roll-On Energy Fresh in my possession.
The bottle of Nivea Energy Fresh is made of glass. There is a light blue sticker bearing the name of the brand, the deodorant and the message that it contains no alcohol. On the back you will find the ingredients. It is a roller, so if you remove the cap of the bottle you can see the roller. It's not a big roller, but big enough to use the deodorant.
The Nivea Deo Roll-On Energy Fresh has Lemon Grass and avocado extracts. The smell is very appropriate to name of the product, namely it's very fresh. There is a slight lemon flavor, but it is not extremely strong, but smells really fine. The scent will last quite long, but you get used to it fairly quickly myself, making it appear that the smell is gone. I think this is mainly a women's fragrance, because it was something sweet in it. There is no alcohol in the deodorant. I find this a great advantage to this product. I get fairly quickly irritated skin when I use deodorant, but not in this case.
I am very pleased with the smell and the deodorant itself. The product smells very nice. I think it's really a nice, fresh scent. Also the smell last for a long time.. The fragrance is very subtle so it's not like he really exists. Another great thing I find that my skin is not irritated. I'm will never know when I try a new deodorant, because my skin for that matter is just really bad. A minus I find the glass bottle. This is not practical and likely to break. This deodorant will not go with on my travels. I will also not take it when I work out and I think a missed opportunity of the brand. All in all a great deodorant. Too bad for the glass bottle, but can find no other disadvantages.
I brought this product about 3 months ago when Boots had it on promotion at half price, (they did accidentally sell loads of them at 0p due to a fault with the offer code on the tills, thank you Martin Lewis for telling us). The product normally sells at around £2.30, making it a fairly expensive product, but at half price it was much more worthwhile trying. It comes in a glass, round, container, with a blue lid and label, which makes it look very good and a higher end product. The roll on is at the top of the container and contains 50ml of clear liquid, but is fairly heavy for a roll on.
The liquid is fairly runny, making it easy to get out of the roll on and use up the whole amount, which is brilliant if you often forget things when shopping or are a student like me and need things to last as long as possible. It has a very freshening smell of lemon grass, and reminds me as the perfect scent to put on after the gym to really freshen yourself up. It contains no alcohol, colorants or preservatives, making it suitable to more sensitive skin.
When applying the deodorant the product comes out readily and so is easy to cover you're under arms full of deodorant (I hate smelling so I always like to feel reassured that I will smell fresh all day long). It major downside is it takes a long time to dry and you can feel the goo-ee-ness of the product for a while and so as I do not have time to stand around is easy to get on your clothes. The great thing is it never leaves any marks when dry so is not really an issue putting clothes on while it is still wet. The product does indeed keep your under arms fresh and smelling of lemongrass, but I do not consider it to last the full 24hrs it advertises. If I go out in the evening I often need to reapply the roll on, but I think this is typical of most roll on deodorants (possibly with the exception of the deodorants that lasts days not hours).
Overall I would use this product again, but I would never pay full price. There are similar standard deodorants at much cheaper prices. The energising one is my favourite one out of the range and is one of the best I have used for the gym and after the gym to refresh your underarms and keep them smelling beautiful. So all in all, a good product at a slightly too high a price.
