An attractive looking body-spray that leaves you smelling great with no marks to your clothes. :D

Oddly enough, I do remember the first time I bought this deodorant. It was about April last year, and I was reaching the end of the Christmas / Birthday gift-set stocks I'd had the previous year. I was actually in a bit of a frenzy, thinking I had absolutely no form of deodorant / anti-perspirant or even roll-ons left in the house, so I ran out to the local pharmacy to grab some supplies.

It instantly caught my eye on the shelf, as something I'd not seen before. My pharmacy often sell deodorants and body sprays in a large box, for 99 pence a can/roll-on, but I'd had previous experiences with these: I get them home and they either don't spray properly, or you end up using twice, sometimes three times as much as another spray (and thus spending roughly the same anyway) because of the weak fragrance and pathetic excuse for 'staying power' advertised on their cans. With this in mind, I now always go straight to the shelves to look at the more well-known brands that I feel I can trust more. But this new can (it may not have been newly released, but it was new to the pharmacy) stood out to me. It was an attractive, black can with what I thought was a white lace pattern, but later turned out to be a sort of quilted effect around the entire can, with the unmistakable logo of the Playboy Bunny in bronze on the front.

I popped the lid off for a quick sniff, and it was exactly as I expected: not a floral or fresh fragrance that you get with some other brands, making you smell like a living room that's just been sprayed with air-freshener, or an "open field" or "waterfall, fresh and vibrant". This suggested excitement, playfulness, something different I'd never experienced before. It was love at first sniff, ha!

Checking the price-tag, they were asking £3.99 for the standard 75ml can, to which I thought "..the cheek!". But still, I was in love, and had to take some home, also considering I needed 'something', as I'd completely ran out.

It's not an antiperspirant, and I've never really had an issue with perspiration or sweating, so I wouldn't know how well it masks these sorts of odours: all I know is that is smells great, my all-time favourite smelling body spray, by far. It's great for going out in the evenings, but I tend to wear it for the every day, too: it doesn't really matter. As for staying power, I tend to spray quickly in the mornings before leaving the house, and then again sometime mid-late afternoon for a boost. This really isn't necessary, I just like it so much! Even if I forget to take it out with me, though, I (and my partner too!) can still smell the faint fragrance on me and my clothes in the evening, so that warrants a good rating from us!

With regards to the actual spray, I think it's great: it gives a fine mist, not too 'wet', and doesn't leave you feeling soaked in the spray, as some brands do. It leaves no marks whatsoever on my clothes, light or dark, and for me at least, causes no irritation at all to my skin, even underarms.

I've since found out you can get it for £1.00 off Amazon, and in some other stores, so it must have just been chance that I found it so expensive the first time I tried it. A pound for this brand and fragrance is a great deal, and I usually buy 4-5 at a time to keep myself in stock of them. I'd hate to run out again!

And just for the records, my partner likes it too. It's the first body spray I've ever used that's brought on any actual comments / review from him, without my prompting him first!

I'd recommend this to all women, probably aged fifteen and up, though some younger girls may like the fragrance too. It's suitable for any age, I'd say, but it's more likely that younger women will prefer it, maybe to mid 30's-40's. But, of course, we're only as young as we feel. :)

      Lovely!

When it comes to the brand of Playboy I have always thought of it as a bit chavvy to be honest. Cheap packaging and aimed at kids (even though in my opinion it shouldn't be cos of what it represents!) and so I steered clear of it. However way back I did end up acquiring some Playboy make-up and loved it and now am rather a fan of some of the range!

However when it comes to Playboy perfume, bags and the likes I decided that I'm certainly never going there a long time ago! I leave that to my bestmate/flatmate who will not listen that it isn't the done thing to have a Playboy handbag at 33 years old!

However the other day I did I did see a couple of new Playboy body sprays in Morrisons that I hadn't seen before and as I was on the lookout for a couple of new body fragrances so did take a sniff of these and decided that to forget that they are Playboy and give them a go and at £1.00 (on offer) instead of the usual retail price going back up soon to nearer £2 a can I'd bought both of the fragrances!

      The Packaging:

As far as I am aware of the black can with grey push button aerosol style sprayer to the top of it that has a matching to the rest of it lid only comes in one size and that size is 75ml. On the front of the can there are like little silver stars as a pattern along with an orange coloured bunny head and we are told in matching orange writing that it is Playboy Play It Spicy Parfum Deodorant and the size is stated (as I have listed already). On the back of the can other information listed includes cautions, ingredients and contact details for Coty (the manufacturer of the product) and lots of information in foreign languages is given too. I like the feel of this matt looking and feel can making it easy to hold and it actually is very nice in its appearance too!

      The Body Spray Itself:

Well to use this body spray you simply do the same as you would with any other. Simply spray it at arms distance away from yourself and it sprays out as a cold mist though not wet or anything like that and it sprays out really evenly out of the can and leaves no residue on the skin at all so you don't need to worry about dressing and so on even straight after using this.

Course this is an all over body fragrance and not an anti-perspirant and on warm days, if you want to you could simply use this as a light perfume...so multi-functional it is really.

The fragrance of this is quite strong, sweet and I guess floral Oriental. It really is a gorgeous, well rounded and nicely blended scent this one and I am a huge fan of it.

Its hard to take a guess at what this scent is blended from but I can tell you that it is floral with a slight hint of a musky undertone to it and it is nicely and naturally sweet and once applied I can smell this lingering on my skin for a good few hours.

To me this is a really sophisticated fragrance and evening in its suitability more than anything else as it is so rich...my advice is forget the brand ladies...get sniffing this little gem and snap one up whilst on offer in Morrisons!

Available in all good chemists and supermarkets etc.
