Although I use deodorant, I always like to use a Body Spray when I am out and about, and always carry a can with me. =Charlie Body Fragrance= I brought this for £1 a tin, I had placed an order with Co-op pharmacy for some worming tablets for the dog, and I was £4 short of the free postage, the postage was about £4 so I figured I may as well buy 4 cans of Charlie spray and get the free postage. =New= This is a new fragrance from Charlie, and with it being a body spray it is a lot less strong than the perfume, so you can be a bit more liberal at spraying it around. =Availability= I normally buy mine from Boots or Superdrug, and it can retail at £2 a can. =This Charlie= The can itself is very attractive to the eye, it has a feminine look to it, with a minty, blue background and a flowered pattern on the front. On the front of the can it tells us it is by Charlie and the fragrance, and on the back the information includes about the product, how to use, warnings about avoiding broken skin, and that it is a 75ml container. =The Spray= Once you remove the lid, there is a plastic push down button which releases the spray, thus comes out ad a fine mist and is not heavy, in dries literally on impact with the skin. =Fragrance= This is a sweet smelling fragrance, and has tones of sweet orange, grapefruit as well as a mild floral smell. I find it to be quite a subtle smell for Charlie, as some of the other fragrances are strong, this is very much a spray of the moment, a summer mist. =Staying Power= I was surprised with the staying power of this fragrance as even three hours later I can still smell the fruit and the flower smell of the spray. I tend to add a spray to my clothes, and this does not stain, and the scent washes out. I would not recommend doing that in the event that it stains one of your best items. =Great value= I was lucky as I paid £1 per tin for this fragrance, and i have 2 left, but I will defiantly be searching around for this fragrance, and for me it deserves full marks, 5/5. =Would I recommend= I would highly recommend this fragrance, but i would say that it is floral based, which for me I normally like a stronger, deeper intensity, but this has won me over.
At christmas last year I was given one of the usual sets of 3 mini Charlie Revlon Aerosol sprays as a gift. I never really use body sprays too much but this has been inhabiting my daily handbag for a month or so now and always comes in handy for a quick spruce up! It comes in a small 50ml canister, a turquoise-ish blue colour, with a lovely detail of pink flowers and stars streaming across, and also green looking earrings, gems and stars. The design is a bit random but it does look and feel girly and the colour is quite bright and eye catching so this makes it really easy to find in my bag! The canister describes it as a perfumed body spray, deodorant perfume. Therefore it is worth a mention not to apply this to any underarms! Using it is easy, as I hold the canister about 15cm away from my body and I give it a quick spray to help me freshen up a bit. It smells quite light and subtle which is perfect as it doesn't feel suffocating or overpowering, and is quite light and fragrant. In terms of it's effectiveness it does a great job at sprucing me up so I feel fresh and nicely scented, and I tend to rely on this about halfway through the day at work just for a quick top up. It does give long lasting floral smell, which lasts max about a couple of hours max being the longest I have relied on this, so it has been brilliant for me in this respect. It doesn't leave white marks on clothing as long as you don't spray too clothes to your top! Overall, I do like this spray and whilst I most likely would have purchased it myself I would recommend it. Of course it's not as great in terms of longevity and a unique smell compared to a top brand perfume but it is a nice little top up and works fab for me :) It is available at Superdrug and other retailers and can cost about £1.65 for a 175ml spray.
The charlie red has always been one of my favourites, and I've always got a few bottles of the perfume around my house. The charlie range is a cheap affordable yet decent body fragrance, and the enchanted variety is a new smell to the group. I picked up a pack of perfume with this body spray from boots after christmas for £4 in the sale, however it can currently be bought for £6.70 on amazon for the set, or £1.70 at boots for just the body spray. In my opinion, £1.70 is steep for a 75ml bottle of body spray, although there are usually offers on at different stores, and I wouldn't normally pay over £1 for one bottle. ***My usage**** I have never been a big fan of body sprays, as I usually use a deodorant spray to keep my smelling fresh, and a perfume to keep me smelling nice, I have never really saw the need for a body spray until recently. As I work in a pet shop, I don't want to cover myself in perfume, and I find a body spray a handy way of smelling nice without it getting up your nose- which is also beneficial to the little animals I have to handle daily. I have a few varieties of charlie body spray so one bottle has been lasting me a while considering I don't use it very much. I probably use this smell about twice a week, and have had this one bottle for about 2 months which is great as it is one of my favourites out of the lot. ***Smell*** Compared to the charlie red, which was originally my all time favourite, this enchanted spray smells a lot sweeter. I really love the smell on my clothes, however unlike the charlie red, I have never receieved any compliments when wearing it. I find that at the end of the day, there isn't much hint of it being on my clothes, so the staying power of the body spray is pretty poor- compared to the charlie perfumes which I find have a great lasting power. The scent of this enchant spray reminds me of children's perfumes, and I personally think it would better suit younger teens. It doesn't have one of those 'get up your nose' strong floral smells which I tend to avoid, so for that reason I will continue to use it until it is all gone. ***Overall*** I probably wouldn't have bought this version without it being on offer at the time, however the charlie red is still my favourite so i'm unsure if I would bother buying this type again. I won't bother with buying anymore body sprays just as it is quite high priced and the lasting power is pretty poor. As I already use deodorant, I could probably make do with that plus my perfume, so I don't really feel much need for a body spray. However when I do get to the end of this bottle, I will look for a longer lasting spray if I end up needing one. Overall my opinion would be, this range and the perfumes are perfect for children and young teens as a first time perfume, I still love it from when I was 11 and will continue to use my charlie red as I have had many compliments from it. This smell however has not drawn such reactions, and although I personally like the smell, it doesn't seem to last very long. Thank you for reading, I also post on Ciao.
For Christmas I received a Charlie gift set which had 4 miniature sprays in it one of them being Charlie enchant. I'm a regular user of body spray as its handy to keep in my hand bag or work locker and is good for a quick refresh. this was my first time using this spray as I tend to just grab what's on offer at the time. The bottle is of the smaller size of 50ml as opposed to the 75ml bottles that you can buy in any supermarket, shop selling health and beauty products and online for around £2 but prices may vary depending on where you shop and the offers on at the time. The design of this spray is a simply pail mint colour and has white wrighting and green and pink Jewls over it. At a glance this does look like it is aimed more at the 13-18 age range but it's the smell the counts. Charlie statement for the enchant body spray is 'prepare to be mesmerised by Charlie enchant. A captivating blend of wild apple, honeysuckle and coconut' this is displayed on the back of the can. The smell that shines through for me is the coconut but it's not over powering atall. I would say this fragrance lasts around 3 hours before needing to be topped up but maybe less if doing some kind of activity. This is a light fruity smell but does not seem to stick around for long.
One thing I use daily is a body spray and whenever I see Charlie ones on offer I stock on them and this one was one of those purchases. I spotted it on offer for a pound a can in my local Asda store opposed to costing more like £1.89 a can and I do like to feel I have got a bargain after all! Along with So...? And Playboy body sprays I really do usually like the quality of Charlie which is why after spotting this nice looking can and having a quick sniff check I bought it! The Packaging: This comes in a long cylinder shaped can which is aqua in colour with a matching plastic lid and again a matching push button coloured dispenser to the top of it. On the front of the can we are told that it is 'New' Charlie Enchant Perfumed Body Spray and that it is a Revlon product and there are little pictures adorning there of little pink flowers that give a nice attractive look to the can. On the back of the can other information listed includes being told a bit about the product and directions for using it are given, ingredients and the size is stated which in this case is 75ml and contact details for the manufacturer are stated. This is a nice looking, informative can which is also easy and straightforward to use thankfully. Using It: Well you can use this whenever you want of course. I like to use it when I'm fresh out of the shower or bath and to give me a quick burst of fragrance throughout the day if need be. This is a damp spray opposed to a wet one so I can basically spray and go and it leaves no residue on my skin at all. This has a wonderful and well blended floral fragrance to it which I would call floral though it has a base smell of coconuts to it and a top note of apple which all helps to bring out a honeysuckle sort of fragrance that this has to it. Its lovely and mature this fragrance and me, well not only do I enjoy using this as a body spray but with the warm weather we had for a while I used it as an all over perfume type of product and loved it! You don't need to spray out loads, its easy to use and that scent is simply really unusual and rather expensive fragranced and it kept me feeling fresh and fragrant all day long. This is a top notch body fragrance in my view and suitable for the more mature amongst us. It may be floral but it has other dimensions to it as well and I will be sure to buy this one time and time again in the future, on offer or not! Available in all good chemists and supermarkets and rather often on offer at a brilliant bargain price of just a pound a can!
